For Chronic Pain "I have chronic pancreatitis. I was prescribed Belbuca 300. It did help somewhat for my pain. Although the side effects were awful. I was trading pain for some kind of lethargic, very sick state. At work, I was told to get more sleep, although I slept 10 hours plus. I was nauseated, dizzy, with mild pain. When I told my doctor, he said it was normal. So I continued for 30 days. I just couldn't take it. I asked him if there was anything else. He said no. For me, he wanted me to take a higher dosage. I couldn't agree. I need to go to work, I need something else, not being lethargic!"

For Chronic Pain "After reading these reviews, I'm scared to start taking Belbuca. I have a C6 spinal cord injury. Chronic pain in arms, hands, and neck. I have tried oxycodone, hydrocodone, and Morphabond. I am currently taking Lyrica, baclofen, and midodrine for low blood pressure. Hopefully, the Belbuca will work, but I'm already dizzy from the Lyrica and low blood pressure. My pain level is a constant 8 pretty much every day. I'm skeptical about this drug, but I will try it because pain sucks. Hopefully, I won't get the side effects everyone else is having. My first dose is tomorrow morning, 600 mg every 12 hrs, hope it works. This drug is over 800 dollars a month, I paid 80 out of pocket."

For Chronic Pain "If I could rate this medication as a zero, I would. Virtually no pain relief, only nausea, intermittent diarrhea, headaches, and vertigo. It does not stick to the inside of your cheek, as every time you swallow, it moves around and either sticks to your teeth or you swallow it. Horrible, horrible medication. Films often crack in half by the time you can finally pry them out of the foil, and they are so small that if you have any sort of tremor, as I do, they often fall out of my fingers. In my opinion, they need to scrap the whole thing and start over. Horrible."

For Chronic Pain "I have a rare disease called Still's disease that's been, for the most part, controlled with getting infusions of a biological drug every 4 weeks and taking Norco with muscle relaxers as needed during flares. Well, about 2 weeks ago, I ended up in the hospital because I passed out due to a blood clot and also broke my right leg in several places, which required surgical intervention. It was a nightmare in the hospital for them to get my pain under control because of these new opioid guidelines. Anyway, I finally was released and was doing okay on 7.5 of Percocet every 6 hours for pain as needed. When I saw my PM doctor, he put me on Belbuca 150 mg, with Percocet for breakthrough pain. I felt awful! Had horrible nausea, headaches. My heart was skipping beats, I felt like a zombie. I was so dizzy that I was afraid I would fall. My husband said I was talking crazy. I don't recommend this drug to anyone. It was really scary, and I can't imagine feeling like that all the time."

For Chronic Pain "I have had chronic pain in my back for many years. I was content taking Oxycodone, but my insurance company butted in and decided that they knew better than my pain management doctor did and thought I needed to try something else (not opioid basically). When obviously none of that worked, he put me on Belbuca. I’ve been on it for probably 4 years now, and it’s working well for me. I’ll give you the pros and cons that I’ve experienced. Pros: 1. It really does tend to help with my chronic pain (except on severe days - see con). 2. At the dosage I’m at, it helps my pain, but I’m not so dizzy, loopy, or high that I can’t function, drive, or go about my day. 3. Haven’t had side effects. Cons: Days that are more severe, you will probably need something extra. I'm on 300 mcg Belbuca 2x day. My doctor also gives me a script of Hydrocodone 5x day in case it’s not enough. 2. My insurance doesn’t cover it, and it’s over $700/month. 3. Wish it was a pill instead of film. Overall, been happy."

For Chronic Pain "Pain #9-10 has DDD, neck fusion, severe osteoarthritis as in S1 joints gone, 5 bulging discs, Fibromyalgia, and have been in chronic pain for 10 years now. After telling my doctor that the usual treatment does not work on me and generics don't work at all, he tried the Belbuca. The first 2 days @ 600 mcg per day made me feel a little better, pain #8, but I started feeling dizzy, confused, and my heart started racing like crazy. Not sleeping soundly, having nightmares, up and down all night, and the pain is worse now."
