For Opioid Use Disorder "I did a study for the shot in 2016. After 7 years of injecting heroin, they accepted me and my fiancé in the study. It was like we hit the lottery. It took a few days for us to adjust to it, but when we did, it was amazing! It really helps with your dopamine levels and cravings. We took it for 13 months, and then we got off it. We didn’t have any withdrawal symptoms or pain at all following our last shot. I highly recommend it to any opiate users. It was the only way we quit using after seven years."

For Chronic Pain "I have bulging disc L5, S1. Now I've had three laser surgeries, two failed cages, rods put in for L3, L4, L5, and taken out. I've had every kind of meds given for pain and over 184 injections for pain. Yes, now my pain management has given me Belbuca 150mg. This is my first 12-hour dose. I have seen this is very hard to find and over three hundred a month for it. I've read all your reviews. I pray it just allows me from 9/10 to 5 or lower reduction of pain. I, like most true pain sufferers, don't care about feeling high. We want relief from this pain that we're living in. In a lot of pain management doctors out there, all they think is getting you off the medication not resolving the true root and helping us survive. Looking forward to letting you know how this works."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "Getting this Sublocade shot has changed my life. I was addicted to heroin for over 15 years. I would have very limited success with Suboxone. I would take it when I had to, but generally I would get them and sell them. I also would wake up every day consumed with getting money/getting high. So even with good intentions of taking Suboxone, there would be days that my addict thinking would take over before I had the chance to take the Suboxone, and I would be high again. Sublocade removed the guesswork for me. I wake up every day feeling great and with no desire to get high. I am waking up feeling free for the first time in over 15 years. The shot definitely burns, but for me it is definitely worth the burn. This has been a total game changer for me!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I truly believe this drug is a miracle drug. I had been on high doses of oxycodone, methadone, oxycontin 80 mg, and opana 30 ER for about 14 years, and when I tried to stop on my own, the w/d's were so bad that it was impossible for me. I was put on Subutex for 2 months (my choice for discontinuing) 8 mg a day. I weaned myself off within two months, and I did experience very slight w/d's, but nothing I couldn't deal with for about 2 weeks. Mainly, I believe that I just didn't know how to live drug-free, so my emotions were like a roller coaster for a couple weeks. Pushing through though is the key because your mind will tell you this will never end, but it does and pretty quick if you stay committed and stay away from bad choices."

For Chronic Pain "I am a Registered Nurse who had a 36-year career end due to disabling chronic spinal disc disease, herniation, and failed surgeries. I have a spinal cord stimulator and was taking 50mcg fentanyl via patch changed every two days for ~10 years. Took codeine 30-60mg every two days and as needed for breakthrough pain. I was sleepy, antisocial, and miserable. I was given Belbuca 300mg to replace fentanyl. Within 48 hrs, the extreme fatigue and foggy brain were gone. Pain less intense. I did experience increased migraines and nausea after AM dose. Extremely good outcome."

For Chronic Pain "I've now been on a 15 mcg Butrans patch for 6 months with some good relief for permanent nerve damage in both legs. However, I've noticed that the patch basically becomes non-effective on day 5, and I start having withdrawals. I'm 22 years old and drive daily with the patch. I only notice tiredness after 11 pm, so it suits my working life fine. I'm going to my doctor to talk about getting put on a 20 mcg patch and a 5-day change. Constipation, nausea, and loss of appetite have been side effects for me, but it hands down beats any oral tablet. I'd rather be on a patch as opposed to taking tablets due to liver damage over long-term usage. For nerve damage, amitriptyline was the best relief I've ever had with brilliant sleep and pain relief. However, I experienced fibrillation and irregular heartbeats, so I had to come off them. Stay safe and always consult with your doctor or medical person in charge."

For Chronic Pain "I never was into pills before, but in 2009 I had a child and with all my kids I had to have a C-section. It started by me not being able to move out of bed and take care of my kids. I decided to take 3 x 500s Vicodin, and that's when it took me right away. I started taking them every day to get the pain to go away and for that energy. I had a 2-year-old and a newborn, and I was changing 2 diapers at once on Vicodin. I couldn't believe the energy. Anyways, years later, no kids, no house, no car, or anyone, my friend told me about Subutex, and I went and tried it out and have been clean since Nov 2012. Recently had another child in 2013, and I didn't even want any pain meds, actually Subutex took my pain away more. This has truly changed my life."

For Pain "I have been on the Butrans patch for 5 years. I started at 15 mcg and moved up over the years to 20 mcg. I have interstitial cystitis (IC), a painful bladder condition. I have to admit the patch did help me with pain, but my condition requires constant surgeries to maintain. What they don’t tell you about being on the patch long term is the way the patch works (look it up and read for yourself). It blocks pain relievers like morphine and fentanyl (protagonists-antagonists) that they use after surgery for pain management. I had a full hysterectomy while keeping the patch on per my pain management recommendations-a huge mistake! I woke up after surgery basically screaming because they could not get me out of pain. It was, to say the least, the worst experience of my life! While I understand we are all different and each body works with medication differently, if you have a condition that requires frequent surgeries, read up on Butrans and discuss it with your doctor in-depth before you go under."

For Pain "My pain management doctor put me on Butrans patches about 6 weeks ago, a 5 mg dose. The first box of four was a lifesaver. No more agony at work. Able to sleep. Did more in two weekends than I had in two years. I'm hoping to bump up to the 10 mg dose soon to cut down on my Norco. I have had chronic pain for many years and have been through many medicines, including Oxycontin. This patch is the best so far."

For Pain "I am 25. I started using Butrans 3 weeks ago. It has been a lifesaver. I started taking it for pain after wanting to stop popping the Percocets. I was optimistic, but honestly didn't have much faith in it. To my surprise, the Butrans has relieved my pain since day 1. If I do something that aggravates my back such as standing or walking for extended periods of time, then I get some back pain, but it's really nothing compared to what I am used to. I am very thankful for having found out about this patch. It has influenced my life in so many positive ways so far. I was frustrated physically and emotionally prior to starting Butrans, I feel much happier now. My pain is from spinal reconstruction to correct severe scoliosis in 2008."

For Chronic Pain "I suffer from severe rheumatoid arthritis and have for six years. I was on high doses of pain pills daily. My daughter died in October of 2016 of an accidental opioid overdose and I decided I didn’t want to take pain pills anymore. I was referred to a pain clinic and offered Belbuca. I have been on Belbuca since January of 2017. I started on the 300mg and I have worked my way up to the 900mg. At first, I hated it, and it didn’t help me. But as my dosages got stronger, I began to notice a big difference in my pain. Belbuca works for me now better than the pain pills did. I have a more constant level of pain control, and I do not feel “high” like I did when I was taking the pain pills. I think that is one reason people don’t think Belbuca is working. You don’t feel any euphoria with Belbuca. But I am fully “here” with my family now. I am a better wife and mother to my children."

For Chronic Pain "I started taking Belbuca five weeks ago, increasing to 450 mcg, 2/day. I think it is awesome. I have more energy! But I wake up in pain every morning because it does not last the stated 12 hours. This appears to be better with the increase in dose. I’ve had four spinal surgeries, knee replacement, bulging discs at all levels, spondylitis, severe osteoarthritis, Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, Behçet’s syndrome, and other pain. I have been on opioids since 2002. It is a different feeling making the change. My only real problem with Belbuca is a documented side effect of sleep interruption. I can’t sleep but one or two hours at a time at night without waking up. I find the ONE pain med that I like and which makes me feel less drugged, and I can’t sleep at all. I do hope it’s a med interaction and will be seeing two doctors to discuss. I’ve also gained weight since starting, which doesn’t seem to be a documented side effect."

For Pain "I had back surgery a year and a few months ago for a ruptured L5 that was causing severe pain in my lower back and down my leg. The surgery was not a success, and I am worse now than I was. I tried injections, had nerves catheterized, and physical therapy, none of which helped. My dose of Norco's just kept getting higher and higher to where they couldn't give me anymore and be able to perform my job. My doctor put me on the Butrans patches and the relief I get is absolutely amazing. Very seldom do I have to take the Norco's. I started on the 10 mg and now am at 20 mg. Like others, my only complaint is about day 5 or 6, they start wearing off then it takes a day for a new patch to start to work. Overall, they have made my life more comfortable than it has been."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "This is an update. I did my first review 24 hours after receiving a 300 mg injection. I gave it the highest rating possible at the time. I’m happy to say I stand by that as of now, and it has been two weeks since receiving. Naturally, I have that hideous lump about the size of a grape under my skin. Nobody tells you how big, they just say a small lump, which is very subjective. I’ve had no redness, no itching, no pain unless I bump into it, then, it’s tender. I’ve had no withdrawal, no cravings, no side effects related to opiate use, or in comparison to Suboxone. The shot is much better for me because there’s not that roller coaster of up and down as your dose wears off. My plan is to receive this one and only shot and then be done with it all. I will review again at approximately six weeks. Good luck to all! Oh, I’m sorry, I did feel a little bit high for the first two or three days while my body adjusted, then it was just normal, kind of like the first time I took Suboxone."

For Pain "The best medicine I have taken so far for the control of sacroiliac joint pain. I have been on OxyContin, Percocet and this patch works better. The side effects are tolerable. My only complaints are severe bloating and constipation. You really have to stay on top of taking a laxative or you will be in bad shape. But you cannot beat the pain control. The patch enables me to work full-time at a professional job and remain comfortable."

For Chronic Pain "I have had chronic low back pain for 3 years. I have tried 30 injections, spinal cord stimulator, PT, oral meds, tens unit, etc. The Butrans patch is the 1st time I have had consistent relief ever! My pain without medicines is 8-9. I have pinched nerves that give me pain down both legs. I tried the 5, 10, & 20 patch. All dosages lost effectiveness at the 5-day mark leaving me 2.5 days without relief. We finally found a 20mcg patch changed every 5 days is the magic dose. My pain levels stay between a 3 to 5. I have my life back and the only side effects I have is drowsiness. I sleep 4 or 5 hours a day plus a full night sleep!"

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "Was on Suboxone films three each day for five years. It was amazing for me. I was addicted to codeine for seven-plus years. I knew it was killing my organs. It was a hassle to get my films every week, though, at $35. With the injection, it was monthly and $20! I had two injections, and it wasn’t that bad, just a pinch. I never went back for a third. Just felt I didn’t need it! Doc said I could pop in if I did need again. I have no withdrawals at all! I’m now clean, finally!"

For Chronic Pain "I used something else for about 11 years, and it almost killed me. Finally, I got my doctor to find something else. I know it's not easy because I can't take oral narcotics. She put me on Belbuca a year ago in July. And with one adjustment, I have had a pain level of 3 at rest and no higher than 6 during activity. It's like being pain-free when I'm used to a constant 8 at best. I thank you for this awesome product."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Saved my life. Over 5 yrs clean, followed Drs orders and it's been a Godsend, also: tdp12345, if you are not feeling supported and able to get off of it right now then stay on it, who says you have to wean off quickly? This medication has been very successful as a long-term treatment option for addiction just like people with diabetes take their insulin. My opinion is the positives of this miracle drug outweigh the risks of what could happen if you let your cravings take you to drugs again. Do what 'YOU' have to do for 'YOU'. Don't listen to what others think. Find a good doctor who cares and stay on a treatment that works for you. God Bless."

For Chronic Pain "I have been taking hydrocodone for 28 years due to a gunshot. I have nerve damage and severe pain in both legs from mid-thigh down to my toes. I was skeptical when my doctor recommended I transfer from hydrocodone to Butrans, but I am so glad I agreed to make the change. What a difference! It has been life-changing, and I can actually do routine daily activities with minimal pain. I wish I had started this years ago. Finally, my legs feel normal again."

For Chronic Pain "Chronic pain is the worst. I have a broken hip that needs to be replaced, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, a broken left foot, and CAEBV (Chronic Active EBV disease), and a bunch more I can add. But I was on Norco 10, but after 2 years, Norco wasn’t working for me. The doctor suggested Belbuca, and I gave it a whirl. I am on 300 mg and started out on 175 mg. I finally can lay in bed pain-free. I can’t walk too well, and my hip pain hurts if I’m on it, but all the other pain, that horrible nerve pain, and that horrible joint pain is gone. Full body pain is gone. I do have days where my pain is a tad untouchable, and I use my Norco for the breakthrough, especially with the weather pain. Belbuca kinda feels fresh because your mind is clear and the pain is gone or limited. Give it a try. It took me 3 months to get adjusted. My insurance denied it. We fought for it and got approved. You need a doctor that will fight for you."

For Chronic Pain "This medication changed my life. I’ve tried many medications to manage pain from a chronic illness. I was on a stable dose of oxycodone for a long period of time, but felt that the effect wore off significantly over time. I felt pretty demoralized that the same dose that had been working for quite a while seemed to have finally stopped working for me. I switched to Belbuca and stabilized my dose. It has been well over a year now, and I don’t have enough good things to say about it. If you’re looking for a medication that gets you 'high,' look elsewhere. If you’re serious about your pain management and want to be able to function with a clear head without your pain distracting you, this may be a great option for you. Final point: You’ll almost certainly need a prior authorization from your doctor for this medication. Insurance companies seem to not want to cover it, so you’ll need your doctor to do some paperwork so that you don’t end up paying $500 per month."

For Pain "It works great for about 3 days. It's supposed to last 7 days. By great, I mean it dramatically reduces pain (from 9-2) for about 5 hrs/day. Then the pain gradually increases. One good thing is that I don't wake up in pain when the patch is working."

For Chronic Pain "I'm 39 and have had 3 babies, two major back surgeries, which now I have chronic intractable pain, arthritis, and neuropathy. I've been on Morphine, Dilaudid, Fentanyl, Oxy, and just recently on Opana. Then my Dr. put me back on Belbuca. I had been on it last year for over a year. Then my insurance changed, and it was over 300.00 dollars, so my Dr. switched meds for a few months, and now I couldn't be happier to be back on it! No nausea from Oxy, no side effects from any withdrawal because it's Suboxone, and it's the best pain relief I've ever had. I'm at 600 mcg and have incredible pain relief. I do take gabapentin as well as a muscle relaxer, but everything in conjunction works great! I can't say anything bad about it. Anyone that experiences nausea and is taking something with it, it has to be the other narcotic."

For Pain "I have been on OxyContin for the past 7 years, but my pain had been increasing more and more over the past few months. I discussed my lack of pain control, and my doctor mentioned Belbuca. We discussed all of the pros and cons. I tried Belbuca, and during the first two weeks, it was a bit hairy. I may have been a bit apprehensive, so I didn't think it was working. By the third week, my pain subsided, with Norco for breakthrough pain. I didn't like the idea of being on OxyContin for such a long time, and Belbuca gives me the pain relief I desperately needed."
