For Asthma, Maintenance "Second time in the year with oral thrush. The RediHaler sucks. Have been using Qvar since its inception in the market. Not a single episode of thrush with the other packaging (a mere, simple, all-known pump). And the worst is that the pump presentation was completely substituted by the RediHaler. The product goes into all your mouth crevices. Terrible presentation. At this pace, I could have 4 episodes of thrush yearly, and there is no other option but the RediHaler. As indicated in the package, I rinse my mouth."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I had been on Qvar for a couple of years. I didn’t realize for a while, but when the inhaler changed to the RediHaler, my health went downhill. My thyroid was affected, and I ended up with adrenal fatigue as well. No appetite, and after 9 months, I was dropping weight fast. What finally clicked was my super, super dry mouth-thrush. I started researching and found that the RediHaler can have side effects, but they are rare. The day after I stopped this medication, my appetite was back. 2 1/2 months later, my energy is slowly getting back to normal, but I need to rest a lot."

"My doctor added Qvar to my treatment for COPD. I was wary about using it because of oral thrush. Put it off for a month as I was finishing up tooth implants. Went to it. Rinsed, spit, gargle, spit. Never swallowed. After 10 days, I got thrush in my mouth and throat. I went on treatment and also developed a really bad, deep, loud non-productive cough. I was given antibiotics and prednisone. I got better and then worse. Back on prednisone and hopefully it will do the trick."
