For Asthma, Maintenance "Initially, my breathing improved, but within a few weeks, the improvement disappeared. Within a month, I was having major side effects, including fatigue and headaches. My kidney function decreased markedly. It took weeks after stopping Qvar to recover from the experience."

For Asthma, Maintenance "From my very first inhalation, I found it immediately more difficult to breathe. I took my second inhalation (same dose), I was lightheaded and a headache started shortly after... (I am not prone to headaches). Within an hour, I was using my rescue inhaler (immediate relief). Went to bed early. When I woke up, I pre-decided to only take 1 inhalation... immediately difficult to breathe. Yeah, no thank you. $241 down the drain. Proceed with caution."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Have recently started back on QVAR after having stopped due to gastritis, which was probably caused by beta-blocker/aspirin and 2bd blood thinner for my heart attack, which turned out not to be one in the first instance but remained on these meds for months until MRI confirmed otherwise - myocarditis. Respiratory specialist states 60% fine mist particles lodge in the lungs with QVAR, the other 40% probably into my gut, which is causing me nausea, plus headaches and fungal infected fingers (2). Am back to trying an evening one single dose through spacer, rinsing mouth and hoping my body will adapt to these side effects. Has anyone got any suggestions or thoughts? I'm immune suppressed with PMR 18+ months on steroids, now tapering."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I've been taking the 80 mcg for going on 3 weeks now, and I don't feel like it's doing any good. I am still using my rescue inhaler 2-4 times a day. I also, in the last week, have developed what feels like a lump in my throat and trouble swallowing/dry throat, along with headaches."

For Asthma, Maintenance "My doctor prescribed this for maintenance of my asthma. I've had non-stop symptoms for over a year with a recent exacerbation that sent me to the ER. The first few days were great. I noticed an almost instant improvement in my lung function. My breathing came easier, my lungs were clear of inflammation. By day 5, I had developed a consistent headache and pressure behind both eyes and extreme agitation that would make me tremble throughout the day. I had to stop taking it immediately per my doctor. It takes time for side effects to develop, so give it an honest go. But listen to your body for sure."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Every time I used it, I’d get a splitting headache. Advil or Aleve did nothing to relieve it. I just had to wait several hours for it to go away."
