"Started on 5 mg last night as was scared to take it after being prescribed for weeks. Woke up with no panic attacks, which were quite frankly terrifying. I will take it again tonight. Slept okay but didn’t feel out of it as I was expecting. Nerve pain is reduced. I have severe anxiety and depression because of pain. I’m hopeful for the first time in months. Didn’t like the taste, did leave a bitter dry mouth, but nothing terrible. I was on high alert for side effects, but nothing bad happened. I’m going to try 10 mg tonight and put my big pants on. Hubby watched over me, and I feel less anxious. I was in a very bad place with suicidal thoughts, so if this medication can relieve some, I hope to get my life back. Early review, but I will update."

"Cancer survivor. Many surgeries and chemo. Didn't realize I had migraines until I started amitriptyline. Really turned the volume knob down for me on all the pain nerve signals. Decreased the amount of other OTC analgesics I was using before. Definitely has some drowsiness to it, which could actually be seen as an upside if you're taking it before bed. I would recommend starting with a small dose and working your way up."
