For Asthma, Maintenance "My insurance tried switching me to this ProAir. First off, not enough comes out. Then they didn't have a warning it contains milk proteins in it. I had the worst IBS. I also started coughing up blood. And it made my throat burn and my stomach hurt. I am highly allergic to this and many generics because of the milk proteins they use in it."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I have been using ProAir HFA for many years now, and I highly recommend it. It works when I need it, and I don't have any bad side effects. Sometimes I get dry mouth after using it, but I can't complain since it does its job so well."

"I get chest colds and asthmatic symptoms in the beginning of the winter for my entire life. This inhaler works better for me than the older ones. I'm glad I have it, even if I only need it once or twice a year. This is by far the best inhaler I have ever used."

For Asthma, acute "My experience is the same as so many others. They clog after a few uses. The scary part is that they still sound as though they are dispensing medicine, but it is going up the canister and not into the patient. I can imagine that people, especially children, could be harmed and unaware that they're not getting the medicine they believe they are. It is a small inhaler, with a dose counter on it, which is great, but it is useless if it clogged and cannot help someone when it's needed."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I have used this rescue inhaler for 10+ years and prefer it over all others! My pulmonologist accidentally (or without looking at my chart) approved refills for Ventolin, and for me, it's just horrible. Doesn't work nearly as well as ProAir HFA for bronchospasm relief, and I'm afraid of overmedicating! Side effects of ProAir Albuterol Sulfate HFA and Ventolin are both horrible after so many years using."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I’ve been using ProAir for some years. I found that Ventolin works but not as well for me. My insurance company switched me to a generic. It was terrible. I’d get 20 puffs, and it would clog. Ran it under the water, and it still didn’t work. After 3 canisters wasted, I called my insurance company and let them know the danger they put me in by forcing the generic on me. I called the pharmacist and told him I need ProAir and would pay the difference. Insurance agreed after he called them and told them about the canisters I had returned. Got ProAir, and they covered the cost."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I specifically asked my doctor to switch me off the Ventolin inhaler to the ProAir inhaler. The Ventolin inhaler seems like it does not give a big enough puff, while the ProAir inhaler gives me a smooth, problem-free puff without having to take a second one."

For Asthma, acute "I am not sure why anyone is complaining about this inhaler brand. I've had asthma ever since I was about 6 months old and have been with ProAir since its release. I was switched temporarily to Ventolin but was put back on ProAir ASAP after having an asthma attack after taking a puff from the Ventolin inhaler. My insurance made sure to let my doctor know to keep me on it and to not switch it without telling them or having them talk to me about it. It is the only inhaler that works for me. I also do not use the generic versions."

For Asthma, acute "My son has had ProAir HFA switched when Covid hit, and it's JUNK. I do not recommend leaving any pharmacy with this if you actually need to count on breathing or having a reliable inhaler. It clogs all the time, which is unacceptable if you have activities that involve being outside and possibly away from being able to wash it. Even when it's able to dispense properly, the relief it provides is minimal at best. What a joke. Yes, I'm angry. I have worked hard to figure out what works for my kid, and to have someone tell me I cannot do that is not acceptable."
