For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Tried Mallinckrodt. This is the worst hydrocodone pain tablet I have ever taken. I am a 73-year-old male, been taking 2 to 3 tabs a day for arthritis for 10 years. I had to get my pain therapist to change pharmacies to get something that worked. Taking EYWA Pharmaceuticals 7.5. They are the best I have had in a while. Stay away from Mallinckrodt unless you are into pain."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I've been taking Norco for 10 years. I've never had a problem, but my pharmacy changed to this pharmaceutical company Mallinckrodt, and I'm literally taking one pill every four hours, and it still doesn't work. It takes 30 to 40 minutes for it to take effect, so I sit here in pain. It just seems that there's something wrong with this drug. I've never had a problem before. I don't have an addiction to these pills. I've been very careful only to take them when I need them."

For Pain "Call the FDA to voluntarily report an AE event, such as the product not being AB rated anymore. Use NDC 00406-0125-01 on form 3500B from FDA.gov. Request proof from an independent lab assay that this NDA meets or exceeds 80/20 bioavailability. We need 100,000 reports to make the FDA listen to pain patients, we number nearly 77 million in the USA."

For Pain "Norco is extremely effective - I have used it over the years after having 3 back surgeries. I have never experienced any negative side effects or withdrawal symptoms. Norco has been in use for over 60 years and has not caused a public health crisis. We have OxyContin to thank for that - a drug that should never have been approved. OxyContin is no more effective than Norco but is five times more addictive by design. The FDA should be ashamed of itself, and generic manufacturer Mallinckrodt should do us all a favor and go out of business. It is simply a waste unless you're looking for a medication that causes you to throw up. I would rate Norco a 10 and Mallinckrodt a 1. OxyContin is an abomination. Meanwhile, millions of us with moderate to severe pain every day have nowhere to turn."

For Pain "After reading some of these reviews, I am not alone. I actually thought maybe it's just me thinking the medicine doesn't work at times when I take it. WTH? What is going on? I have neck pain, neck fused with 2 cadaver discs. Now it's the back of my neck. The pain management center Dr. just lowered the dose quite quickly, I might add. Maybe because I'm on Medicare now, they got audited? I know that happens because I worked in a Dr. office! It's like no one cares about your chronic pain. Even after a tendon repair surgery on my hand, the nerve block wore off after 18 hrs. and it felt like my hand went through a tree shredder. I literally had to BEG for a few to get through at least 2 days after surgery. All because of an opioid crisis, thanks to the drug addicts. Now people who suffer genuine pain have to suffer."

For Pain "Generic Norco used to work great when pharmacies carried the good quality brands, but now with the poor quality brands available, it is difficult to get pain relief. I am fed up with the so-called overdose epidemic causing chronic pain patients to suffer! States have sued the pharmaceutical companies over it, and as a result, the pharmaceutical companies filed bankruptcy and had to sell off their subcompanies that manufactured the good quality generics! Goodbye Watson, Qualitest, Par, Teva, etc.! Hello unrelieved crippling pain! I changed pharmacies from CVS, who dispensed worthless Caraco, to a private pharmacy who dispenses Amneal or Mallinckrodt. Mallinckrodt is very weak and causes terrible side effects, and Amneal works at about half strength. Tris from Walgreens doesn’t work at all! It’s so frustrating, we need pain relief and can’t get it anymore."

For Pain "These subpar bioequivalent generic pain meds are simply causing the ones who medically need pain relief to have to suffer. Why can't I have the opportunity to consult with my pain management doctor, get a prescription for a name brand pain medication, only to discover that the production of name brand is priced extremely expensive? This has resulted in the untreated severe chronic pain I have due to subpar bioequivalent generics flooding the pharmaceutical market. Hopefully, the truth behind this abomination will surface soon, and needless suffering will be addressed with compassion, not concerns of profits."

For Back Pain "I'm taking Norco 10/325 for over ten years on and off. I'm over sixty-five. I've recently come to the reality that this wonder drug has lowered my back pain, diabetes sugar, depression, and neuropathy pain. I've been told I have reverse side effects from this medication than the average patients the doctor attends to. Everyone else says, 'Oh, you're hooked on pain meds', so what. If they help all of these problems I have and have no bad side effects I can't live with. The best to this drug."

For Pain "Dating back to 1960, it seems like I've been plagued with pain every day of my life. Most of the time a small amount of aspirin will eliminate the issue. But there are days when almost nothing will end the pain. Since I began taking Norco 3-4 years ago - up to three, 10-325 mg tablets a day, life has been a genuine pleasure. I'm still experiencing daily pain. But it is very seldom severe. And when it is, that's only because I forgot I'm 74 years old and spent the day working in the yard like an 18 year old. I can't begin to name all the pain killers I've used in my life. But Norco is, by far, the most effective."

For Back Pain "The generic Norco Mallinckrodt M367 for 8 months and never really helped pain. Even at the start. But in years past, I have had Norco 10/325 after 3 different surgeries, and I can say that they worked well for pain relief. Not these Mallinckrodt. Seems the formula is changed to satisfy the government's desires. Even some pharmacists agree but won't say publicly for fear of bucking the system. Today's generics appear to be inferior."

For Pain "I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about seven years ago. I have taken Norco as prescribed by my physician along with other medications. Norco has improved my quality of life 100% as it allows me to manage down my pain level so that I am capable of conducting everyday living without that heavy narcotic side effects i.e., feeling 'high', sleepiness, nausea, abdominal discomfort. I think I have developed a mild physical or mental dependence due to the length of time that I've been on the medicine. First and foremost I take the medicine as directed and I do not wait until my pain level is at a 10 before I act otherwise its effects are limited. Norco has been very helpful in giving me my life back!"

For Pain "This opioid is trash! I was prescribed it after a tonsillectomy, and it has provided zero relief. I’m 18 and have never taken pain pills in my life, so I definitely don’t have a tolerance, this stuff is just bogus. Thanks, gov’t, I’m glad I get to suffer for 2 weeks since you can’t give us pain relief!"

For Pain "I used to be on Vicodin 10/500 for my severe pain due to rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, and spinal issues. My pain is chronic and severe. I've been on Norco for 4 months now and did not feel any difference from the Vicodin. Last month, my pharmacy gave me a different brand. It was amazing! First time in a few years that my pain was less. I even found myself missing a dose because I was feeling okay. Believe me, all generics don't work the same way."

For Back Pain "I have had surgery to replace my fractured C5 vertebrae with bone harvested from my hip; I have had back surgery to replace a disk; and I have had spinal fusion surgery. I now have arthritis in my hand and shoulder. I have taken Norco 10s for the pain over the years and have found them to be highly effective with no side effects or withdrawal symptoms. My doctor prescribed Norco 10 for my arthritis, but the only medication the pharmacies in my area carry is manufactured by Mallinckrodt, and they are terrible! They don't reduce the pain AT ALL, but they're GREAT at making me nauseous. If your doctor prescribes generic Norco 10s by manufacturer Mallinckrodt, don't bother - the product is worthless."

For Pain "I have had a severe back injury and have been off work since Nov '06. I was first on Vicodin, which didn't work anymore, so they put me on Norco to manage the pain. It works wonders, and I take 1-2 every 4 hours. However, it has become very habit-forming, and I don't see an easy end to trying to cut back or get off these pills. They work great for pain, but be careful!"

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I've had back pain for years. Then I started getting really bad pain in my knee and found out I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis and I'm only 28 years old. I have been on Lortab 10/500 for 6 years. Then I started going to a pain specialist and I'm now on Tramadol ER 300mg 1x a day and Norco 10/325 4-6x a day and it works miracles. I also take the muscle relaxer Flexeril, and it helps very well too. I still have pain, but I always will for the rest of my life because of my arthritis. But these medicines make life much better."

For Pain "I have severe Fibromyalgia with migraine/tension headaches and Chronic Fatigue. I also have osteoarthritis in my hips and lower back. I've already had one SI joint fusion. I am on disability because of the Fibromyalgia. I have used Norco 10/325 for several years. It controls the pain well, and at this point, I am able to manage with only 1-2 tablets a day. I have to manage my pain to be able to function, otherwise, depression sets in with the pain, and I just want to stay in bed. I may be somewhat dependent on Norco now, but it's worth it to have a life."

For Back Pain "Norco has been good to relieve my pain from my L2, L3, L4 discs herniated and resulting pain level 8 in lower back and down the sciatica nerve in my legs. Much better than morphine which makes me feel like I'm asleep and trying to move through cement. It really has done a good job of lowering the pain level and consequently I can function relatively well and get some things done each day, giving me a better quality of life instead of just focusing on the pain. I know I've become addicted but I'd rather be addicted to something that helps me than constantly suffer from pain and have misery day after day."

For Pain "I moved and switched pharmacies. Still the same chain, just a different location. I was receiving 180 10/325 Norco with the imprint M367, those worked great, little to no side effects most days, and pain relief. The new pharmacy gave me a different brand, a white pill with 10 on one side and N 358 on the other. I filled them Tuesday, today is Friday. I started the new ones last night. Almost immediately, I realized there was a problem. Broke out in hives, and my tongue started to swell. Zero pain relief. I called my on-call nurse, and she advised me to take Benadryl and if my symptoms get worse or I can't breathe to call 911. I have been up all night in pain as well as fighting the rash, luckily, the more time that passes, the less I'm itchy. I don't understand how I'm allergic to one brand and not the other. At this point, I don't even think this brand even has Tylenol in it. These new pills are extremely fragile and turn into mush on your tongue before you can even take a sip of water."

For Back Pain "They relieve my lower back pain and allow me to walk and sleep, couldn't do either without them! I use 3 daily 7.25-325 mg. My doctor transferred to a hospital and my new Chinese doctor told me he is deathly afraid of arrest by the DEA for writing narcotic Rx's scripts, he no longer writes any, but sends all, including me to a 'Pain Clinic' that costs me $40.00 a visit for a specialist co-pay to pick up a script, a $480 year waste! Other doctors quit writing scripts because of increased pressure from the law and DEA agents also. How unfair is that to seniors? And who cares?"

For Back Pain "We need to make sure that this message gets out. Share it with as many people as you know: People are being forced to buy drugs on the street, stronger, non-regulated, and often deadly alternatives to their pain medications because of the reformulations that have taken place in the commonly prescribed hydrocodone formula. I have been a pain patient and practitioner for over 25 years. Norco is an easy medication to prescribe, while addictive in nature, if taken as prescribed, the risks are fairly mitigated. People are dying because they cannot get access to a low-risk medication that works. SHARE THIS MESSAGE. It feels like no one is hearing us!!! Due to pressure, lawsuits, and the like, the reformulated generic Norcos are very unpleasant. The active ingredient is the same, but it isn't derived the same way. Much of it is derived abroad. Qualitest/Par/Endo formulated the yellow ones that the pain patients here refer to. It worked well and didn't create the side effects of the others."

For Pain "Vicodin and Norco seem consistent and without adverse side effects. I was able to work, go to school, take care of all the necessities of a busy and productive life, even with pain from spondylosis. There has been a supply issue with the inception of the 'opioid crisis.' Legitimate patients are unable to fill their prescriptions. Mallinckrodt brand gave me what can be described as flu-like symptoms: nausea, ringing in my ears, headache, and general malaise. I checked the ingredients list to see if there was anything I was allergic to in the filler. I see nothing amiss. This is a mystery indeed. NORCO is unavailable at any pharmacy I have inquired at, and the preferred generic from Camber Pharmaceuticals is also not available. Whether this is a manufacturing issue, a supply issue, or a corporate issue (higher profits from offering a cheaper generic), I do not know."

For Pain "I've always taken the yellow Norco. I fractured my hip and my back. They stopped prescribing the yellow, and now they give me white Norco, and it doesn't work at all. Before, I was taking half of a yellow Norco, which worked fine. Now I take the white one, which sucks - it doesn't take my pain away. I don't know what the differences are, and I don't know where to buy the yellow brand. It is driving me crazy. The first time I took the white one, it gave me nightmares. Is there something wrong with the manufacturing process? Are there QA tests on these?"

"Question: I am so lost. So I get hydrocodone 10 mg every month. Well, I noticed if I get white pills from CVS, they work perfectly, but if I get yellow V3601 10 mg, they do absolutely nothing. I made this mistake two times. When the doctor asked me if I get my meds from HEB Pharmacy, I said yes, which was a mistake because this is the second time I got pills from there, and they do nothing for me. I get white ones, and I definitely feel it working. People keep telling me it's the same pill, just different manufacturers, but I know the yellow ones have some different ingredients in them."

For Pain "I used to take the colored Watson Norco, and it worked great, but ever since they switched to this white generic one, it doesn’t do anything for me and has been the same for friends. The Percocet still works, but not the hydrocodone."
