For Pain "Norco is extremely effective - I have used it over the years after having 3 back surgeries. I have never experienced any negative side effects or withdrawal symptoms. Norco has been in use for over 60 years and has not caused a public health crisis. We have OxyContin to thank for that - a drug that should never have been approved. OxyContin is no more effective than Norco but is five times more addictive by design. The FDA should be ashamed of itself, and generic manufacturer Mallinckrodt should do us all a favor and go out of business. It is simply a waste unless you're looking for a medication that causes you to throw up. I would rate Norco a 10 and Mallinckrodt a 1. OxyContin is an abomination. Meanwhile, millions of us with moderate to severe pain every day have nowhere to turn."

For Back Pain "I found Norco to be highly effective in keeping my back, shoulder, and neck pain under control and still allowing me to function as a professional (at least for the most part). I have taken Norco on and off over the last three years due to a series of accidents. I have taken Norco as my only source of pain medication, and I found it was pretty easy for me to leave behind once the injury was healed. I had two surgeries this summer (June and July). I began taking Norco in April and had shoulder surgery in June and continued on the Norco. In July, I had spinal surgery and was put on Dilaudid and MS Contin for four weeks. At the end of the four weeks, my withdrawal symptoms were exceedingly painful, both physically and mentally."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I lived in California and was given 500 mg Norco daily due to RA. Years later, I moved to Texas where no doctors give pain meds, and you have to see a pain doc. After an ER doc refused to give me any meds for my intense withdrawal symptoms, I finally found a pain med doc who put me on buprenorphine, which helped with withdrawal but didn't help with RA pain. After two years of being treated like a street addict by these 'pain professionals,' I decided to slowly wean myself off and just use Tylenol. I'm very fatigued now after a hard-fought physical battle, but I'm off three weeks now and feel like I have won the fight."

For Pain "I had been on Loritab 10 mg/500 mg for years for neck and back injuries, and all of a sudden, I’m getting these white Norco that didn’t take my pain away. I also had withdrawals because there wasn’t anything in the Norcos. It took me 2 years to get used to them, and I have to live in pain every day. Where are the people to help us fight to get our medications back!!!!"

For Back Pain "M367 is garbage. It works like crazy! It's really hard to find Watson 853. Mallinckrodt is terrible garbage. Watson at least cured my pain. I have stenosis in the cervical/neck C5-6-7, plus L5-S1 spondylosis hurting. I don't feel any withdrawal from Norco. It's a good drug, but you have to be careful, my liver enzymes go up. Watson 853 is the best one."

For Pain "I have 5 herniated discs in my neck from being T-boned by a red light runner. Until I was prescribed Norco with Soma (2 pills, not a combo pill), the pain was always either intense or more intense! Usually, the Norco/Soma works great! However, after 6 years, I know I'm seriously 'medically' dependent on them, even if I feel fine. If I skip too many, the withdrawal symptoms start showing up! But I have to say, other than that, they work great!"

For Pain "When I get bad pain, I take Norco, and it helps. I only take it for 3 days, then I stop because the pain is gone by then. But it works better than the other medicines I have been given, also, I have never had any withdrawals from it."
