Acetaminophen / dichloralphenazone / isometheptene mucate for Headache "I have suffered from the symptoms of migraine headaches for over 25 years and prescribed many popular migraine prescriptions without relief, but Midrin 'always' works. Two Midrin capsules, and within 30 minutes, full symptom relief, but on occasion, 1 extra capsule may be required to achieve full relief. For those who don't understand, at the onset of a migraine or waking up at night to a full-blown migraine, the headache symptoms are torturous and usually include nausea for hours until the inevitable violent vomiting. Bring back my Midrin."

Acetaminophen / dichloralphenazone / isometheptene mucate for Headache "After trying at least ten prescribed medicines, I tried Midrin, and almost always it rids the worst of my migraine. The nausea and pain and aura go away. I just found out after using my last two Midrin, they are off the market. Wish I knew why or when they will be back."

Acetaminophen / dichloralphenazone / isometheptene mucate for Headache "I opted to try Midrin because of its low side effects compared to the triptans. It works best when taken at the first sign of a headache, and I find that a cup of coffee not only speeds things along, it helps ward off the sleepy side effect. A piece of bread helps with the nausea that comes with a bad migraine. The best thing my doctor suggested was to keep a headache diary in order to find out what my migraine triggers are. That was a big help! Now I know what to avoid-anything with MSG, also called 'natural flavor,' and artificial sweeteners were THE WORST!"

Acetaminophen / dichloralphenazone / isometheptene mucate for Headache "Midrin is lovely for my migraines. I was taking 800 mg of ibuprofen a day for them, and now I only have to take one Midrin for a headache to completely go away. There was slight nausea and a change of appetite, but that's to be expected."

Acetaminophen / dichloralphenazone / isometheptene mucate for Headache "Five doses at best only eased migraine slightly - and at the cost of increased nausea and increased duration of migraine. Then there's the rebound headaches that last for days. Not worth it for me. Glad it works for others, though. Maxalt works, but is terribly expensive and very limited, which means it cannot be used as often as indicated."

For Headache "I take this medication along with Dramamine. I no longer experience the nausea that accompanies a migraine. My doctor also recommends 2 cans of Mountain Dew back to back as soon as I feel a headache coming on. It helps."

Acetaminophen / dichloralphenazone / isometheptene mucate for Headache "I have had migraines all of my life (at least 50% of my days on Earth), but was not diagnosed until I was 40. I still remember the pain and extreme nausea in my high school days. I went through 2 years of trial and error with a neurologist. Midrin is the only thing that worked. Midrin decreased the pain and nausea and let me function at a normal level. I could work, exercise, and do social activities just like a normal person. Now my alternatives are stronger, potentially addictive medications. Way to go, FDA. Try some common sense, please, and 'allow' the millions of us to have relief from migraines and live our lives. You allow drugs that cause permanent physical damage to remain on the market but ban this drug that has been around for decades without incident. You have no clue. Or they aren't making billions of dollars off this drug, so why bother."
