Why does this medication cost so much? For a recent prescription required, the out of pocket expense for a retired, elderly person with a fixed income was over $1200 for a one month supply consisting of only two doses. The medication, if it works properly will be an ongoing expense for the duration of their life expectancy. It'll bankrupt the family. Is there any help to assist with the cost of this very ridiculously expensive, yet necessary medicine for a person who isn't extremely low income? Can anyone point us in a result accomplishing direction?
These meds are thru the roof because of how they are made. They are specialty meds, a euphemism for we're going to take all your money. There is also this marketing thing they do, they charge an arm and leg for people who have insurance so that they can then turn around and pay for others to get it. Then they pat themselves on the back and say look at us aren't we good.
