What is Soothe XP Preservative Free?
There are many brands and forms of ocular lubricant available and not all are listed on this leaflet.
Soothe XP Preservative Free is used in adults to relieve burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eyes.
Soothe XP Preservative Free may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Soothe XP Preservative Free side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using Soothe XP Preservative Free and call your doctor if you have:

severe burning, stinging, or eye irritation after using the medicine;

eye pain; or
-
vision changes.
Common side effects of Soothe XP Preservative Free may include:

mild eye burning or irritation;

itching or redness of your eyes;

watery eyes;
-
blurred vision; or
-
sensitivity to light.

You should not use an Soothe XP Preservative Free if you are allergic to it. This medicine will not treat or prevent an eye infection.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How should I use Soothe XP Preservative Free?
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Wash your hands before using Soothe XP Preservative Free.
Do not use Soothe XP Preservative Free and call your pharmacist if the medicine looks cloudy or has changed color.
Do not touch the tip of the eye dropper or ointment tube or place it directly on your eye. A contaminated tip can infect your eye, which could lead to serious vision problems.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse while using Soothe XP Preservative Free.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Soothe XP Preservative Free is used when needed. If you are on a dosing schedule, skip any missed dose. Do not use two doses at one time.
What happens if I overdose?
An overdose of ocular lubricant is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222 if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication.
What should I avoid while using Soothe XP Preservative Free?
Soothe XP Preservative Free may cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or hazardous activity until you know how this medicine will affect you.
Do not use other eye medications unless your doctor tells you to.
What other drugs will affect Soothe XP Preservative Free?
Medicine used in the eyes is not likely to be affected by other drugs you use. But many drugs can interact. Tell your doctor about all your current medicines, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
