Applies to the following strengths: 5 mg-20 mg; 5 mg-40 mg; 10 mg-20 mg; 10 mg-40 mg

Usual Adult Dose for Hypertension
Initial dose: Amlodipine 5 mg-Olmesartan 20 mg orally once a day; may increase dose after 1 to 2 weeks of therapy.
Maximum dose: Amlodipine 10 mg-Olmesartan 40 mg orally once a day
Uses:
- Substitution therapy for patients maintained on the individual components separately or for patients not adequately controlled with one of the components or a component within the same antihypertensive class.
- Initial therapy in patients who are likely to need more than 1 antihypertensive agent to control blood pressure.

Precautions
US BOXED WARNING:
- FETAL TOXICITY: If pregnancy is detected, discontinue this drug as soon as possible. Drugs that act directly on the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) can cause injury and death to the developing fetus.
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 18 years.
Consult WARNINGS section for additional precautions.

- Metabolic: Serum electrolytes periodically
- Renal: Serum creatinine periodically in patients with impaired renal function
Patient advice: Females of childbearing age should be informed of the consequences of exposure to this drug during pregnancy; ask these patients to report pregnancies as soon as possible.
