Misoprostol (applies to Cytotec) diarrhea
Moderate Potential Hazard, High plausibility. Applicable conditions: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Dehydration
Diarrhea may occur in up to 40% of patients receiving misoprostol. Misoprostol should be administered cautiously in patients with underlying conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and dehydration. Careful monitoring during therapy is recommended.
