"Until yesterday, I was taking Trintellix 20 mg for MDD, PTSD, and anxiety. Unfortunately, this is a tier 3 medication and $220 on my new insurance. So, I was prescribed Effexor 75 mg to start for 5 days, then bumped up to 150 mg thereafter. I started this med yesterday, and after the first dose, I actually feel amazing. I know, it's only been one dose, but I honestly can say I just feel different, a good different. I have tried Wellbutrin and Lexapro before with no luck. I'm actually excited to continue this medication because for the first time in a long time, I feel content. I'll add another review in a few weeks."

"It helped a little bit with my depression, but the response was not enough. My doctor added other antidepressants and a mood stabilizer, but the efficacy remained at the same level. My first days on it were not easy, and I noticed a significant weight gain right on the next day. It was crazy to see how much weight gain you can have on antidepressants so quickly. After 6 months, my body fat went from 4% to 18%."

"I am on 75 mg of venlafaxine extended release taken with food in the morning. Previously, I was on 50 mg of sertraline. While an extended release medication is not typically recommended for ostomates, this is working well for me, likely because I do not have short bowel syndrome. I have not had sexual dysfunction, though it does make me slightly drowsier than my typical morning drowsiness for about two hours after taking the dose. It is hard to remember to take it at the same time each morning, as I don’t wake up at the same time each morning, so having breakfast can be challenging."
