For Insomnia "I started trazodone during a bipolar manic episode to help me sleep. At first, it was great, I started at 50 mg and I fell asleep within an hour and stayed asleep. After about a month, it stopped working and I went up to 100 mg, which worked perfectly again for about another month or two. Recently (around 3 months in) I had some trouble falling asleep but still slept through the night, until a couple of weeks ago when I started having extremely vivid nightmares every so often. This week I have had those extremely vivid nightmares every night and I am waking up in cold sweats."
