For Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed Zanaflex for muscle tightness in my neck due to DDD. I only took the medication a few times at night as directed. I can lay down and actually feel the medication start to relax my muscles, it also helps me get comfortable and get a good night's sleep. No crazy side effects."

For Muscle Spasm "I took Zanaflex 4mg about a year ago, and it was giving me hallucinations and then knocking me out. I stopped taking it. My muscle spasms are getting worse and they had me on Flexeril, but it did nothing at all. So now I'm going to be starting on 2mg Zanaflex to see if a lower dose has fewer scary side effects."

For Muscle Spasm "I used Zanaflex for years, but with a pain pill, and the combo helped with back and neck pain. It does drop the blood pressure till you get used to it. So, never take more than one. Don't drive on them."

For Muscle Spasm "I have thoracic kyphosis starting, on top of needing a hip replacement, so my spasms are unreal to the point where I cannot breathe. Zanaflex is absolutely astounding in helping me break the spasms. Zanaflex knocks me out, though, so I cannot work or drive when taking it."

For Muscle Spasm "It helped me sleep, but it made me dizzy and my thinking was off. It also made me nauseated. I was hurting so bad I actually took it four times in about 48 hours, even with the nausea. I was still feeling really off 36 hours after the last dose and would not have trusted my judgment at work. My brain not feeling right was much more concerning to me than the nausea. I have taken Flexeril in the past, but I have never felt like this."

For Muscle Spasm "I developed some symptoms and found out I was in premenopause. One of those symptoms was terrible muscle tension. My doctor prescribed me tizanidine 4 mg twice a day for two weeks. It helped a lot, but it made me so sleepy. I couldn't take it any longer than two weeks because I also take psychiatric medication and it interferes. I got hormones from my ob/gyn to help with everything."

For Muscle Spasm "Did not put me to sleep or help with pain. In fact, it caused anxiety and made pain worse. I was on 4 mg at night for three days. Quit after that. Don't really know why I was put on it because I did not have neck or back pain. I have intractable headache. I personally don't believe in off-label uses for pharmaceuticals."

For Muscle Spasm "I've been on Zanaflex for about 2 weeks. I have a herniated disk. This helps a bit. I just wish that the side effect wasn't drowsy. I can only take it when I'm at home, which defeats the purpose, I need it during the day. Other than that, it's fine. Makes me sleep so well."

For Muscle Spasm "I take this along with Baclofen to try and calm the tone and muscle spasms. Since adding the Zanaflex, my muscle spasms don't last as long. However, they do still occur quite frequently."
