Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Mounjaro is good for weight loss as it makes you less hungry and increases your energy levels, but the downside is the side effects, which range from nausea, vomiting, and constipation. It is not a miracle drug, and it is started at a low level and gradually increases, but it's a great kickstart if it's combined with a healthy lifestyle."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Extreme nausea and vomiting constantly. Only have 1-2 days per week that I feel decent. I’ve tried splitting my dosage each week, reduced the units that I inject, added a daily dose of omeprazole to help with the nausea/vomiting, and nothing seems to have helped. I’ve been on this journey since mid-Oct 2024 and it’s now toward the end of January. I kept thinking my body would get used to it eventually. I’ve lost from 167 lbs to 145. My plan going forward is to continue to lower the dose in hopes that I find a balance that works for me in order to continue to lose weight, but more importantly, to feel good doing it. I may be one of those few people who can’t use tirzepatide. Time will tell."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Mounjaro in August of '22. My doctor started me on it for Type 2 diabetes, but weight loss was also the goal. Started at 2.5 mg and now I’m on 15 mg. So far, I’ve lost 80 pounds with no effort. I’ve had little to no appetite. In regard to side effects, they’ve been very minimal. Some mild nausea, dry mouth, and constipation. I have vomited on 3 occasions, and it was due to drinking too much coffee, which made me too full. When reading reviews, please keep in mind that in terms of side effects, you just won’t know until you try the med. I personally have 2 other friends taking this, and their experiences have been pretty much like mine. Don’t let the horror stories scare you, because this medicine has been a true lifesaver for me."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Although I have had a lot of nausea and vomiting, I have gone from 216 lbs to 168 lbs. I was given Zofran, which helped a lot! I have an appointment with my doctor this coming Tuesday because I have developed a lump on my throat. This has me very concerned. The shot was very easy to use."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am currently taking the 7.5 mg. I have currently lost 35# since I started my journey 7/2024. I have noticed that I can barely eat anything, feel very full after a few bites of food. To the point where I feel like vomiting and have a burning feeling like when you eat Halls cough drop, the menthol cool burn feel in my stomach and throat. It's NOT heartburn, it's different. Constantly thirsty, severe cotton mouth, especially at night."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've only had 2 shots and 2 days until the next one. I find it very convenient to administer. However, I have had some nasty side effects! I've had diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fatigue. I will continue taking the medication hoping the side effects will 'calm down.'"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been using Mounjaro for a year now. First time I had negative effects, nausea, constant vomiting, and tiredness. My body got used to it, and ever since, my blood sugar has been in check. I really advise anyone who is diabetic."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Dropped 60 lbs! My numbers are nearly all under 100 now. Nausea and vomiting I was able to keep at bay with ginger chews or ginger gum. It suppressed my appetite, and I didn't want to overeat. Also, fewer cravings for sugary items."

Tirzepatide "I have insulin resistance, and I have taken my first dose of 5 mg this week. I have never been so dizzy in my life. I have to force myself to eat and drink. I could totally go all day without eating or drinking. When I force myself to eat, I get very nauseous or actually vomit. I have daily Zofran, which helps just keep the edge off, but eating is so hard. I know I need to eat, but I can’t. It’s great because I have never been able to feel full, I would just eat until it physically hurts. Now the binge restriction cycle has ended. I have lost weight and have felt good on the 2.5 mg dose, I have just had mild nausea. Because it’s hard to eat, I doubt I have even really hit 1200 calories. I know my blood sugar has been low, and I can’t even drive without feeling unsafe. I got an IV, and that helped, but I do not want to do the next 3 doses of 5 mg. I’m calling my doctor this week to follow up and double-check what he thinks. Crackers and Core Power milk have helped."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "So far, so good until yesterday. I think I ate too much, and then the stomach pain started, and diarrhea followed all night. As I tried to ingest water, I became nauseous and had to throw up, but that decreased the pain. I think I’m just getting used to the drug since this was my first dose of 7.5 mg pen."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Ok, so month 2. Started at 220, down to 208. Roughly 2 lbs a week. Which, in my opinion, is good. My gut/brain communication is back, and now my tummy has been telling my brain that it's full in a timely manner, and I have no overwhelming desire to finish what's on my plate. I can let it go. I've stopped compulsively overeating, and actually feel satisfied with a small meal. I take liquid vitamins to try and stave off the plateau. But I don't think it's coming for a while. My goal weight is 140 lbs. I'm 4'11' and solidly built, so 140 is healthy on me. I have not had any negative side effects. No tiredness, nausea, cramps, constipation, or vomiting. My allergies have calmed down a lot. And my hypoglycemia has mostly righted itself. Meaning, I only experience it now on the last two days before my next shot. I just went up to 7.5 mg today. So far so good. I feel excellent and usually experience a bit of relaxation and euphoria about an hour after. I hope the higher dose will fix the hypoglycemia."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Mounjaro since Sep 2022. I started off with the 2.5 mg for about a month with no issues. My provider then moved me to 5 mg in October. Once again, no issues, and I started losing weight. 15 lbs in about 6 weeks. I was then moved up to 7.5 mg in November and have been miserable ever since. I have no appetite, severe constipation, major headaches, and vomiting, and I am now having issues with low blood pressure (causing lightheadedness, dizziness, and vision issues), which I believe is being caused by my never wanting to eat or drink anything. I have informed my provider of this, and she is now wanting to send me to a cardiologist to make sure my heart is working properly. She has also decided to lower my dosage back to 5 mg. I am hoping this change helps because so far, my type 2 diabetes is under control, and my sugars have been fantastic!"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Currently on 750 Mounjaro. 2nd injection on Wednesday, had a 17-hour episode of vomiting and diarrhea on Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. I did not take the 3rd injection the following Wednesday. By Friday, I had the hungry horrors and joint pain in my hips and knees. Weight loss about 25 lbs, and my A1C only came down from 7.5 to 7.1 in the 5 months I’ve been on Mounjaro. If you take these meds, please listen to your body and the way it reacts to these meds."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Had to stop taking after 7 weeks of use. Total loss of appetite, very weak. When I try to eat, cannot do it due to gagging. The smell of foods upsets my stomach. Getting scary now, haven't used Mounjaro for 2 1/2 weeks and no improvement. No energy at all, hard to function."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Prescribed 1.25 mg as the first dose (15 u). Chose to take 10 units since I never took it before. Had confusion, which subsided with sugar. Vomited three hours later. Voice a little raspy. Felt better, and symptoms calmed after 8 hours. I ate basically low-carb before starting and think I should have been asked what my diet is prior to taking. I’m a nurse for 20 years, so I have knowledge regarding symptoms and medication. Wish I would have started with 5 units instead. This medicine drastically reduced my hunger immediately."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Makes me feel full faster and longer, but with reflux. Sometimes I am still full from yesterday if I eat. It turns to nausea, then vomiting, with epigastric burning and abdominal pain lasting 15 minutes to 45 minutes. Even with Zofran and whatever else I can take. Then I can't sleep, of course, so I'm up till 4:00 or 5:00 AM. I have lost weight on the 10 mg under the doctors' and nurse practitioners' diabetic care. Then I can go a week or two weeks without any negative symptoms at all."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Zepbound 3 months ago. I began at 2.5 mg the first month and then went to 5 mg for 2 months. I had no side effects whatsoever. I started 7.5 mg last Sunday, and by Tuesday, I was nauseous, vomiting, and had diarrhea. It went away overnight, and now I’m fine, but not sure I want to continue with 7.5 mg due to the side effects. I have lost only 10 lbs in the 3 months I have been on it, but will have to stop taking it if these side effects continue."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on tirzepatide for six months, and I have lost 20 lbs. I will be honest and say that I am not currently exercising, so I would most likely be losing more if I were. I am in my mid-50s. I was on Ozempic in the past and lost approximately 20 lbs on that medication. I definitely had more side effects while I was on Ozempic. I feel like tirzepatide is slower to work, but the side effects are less intense because of that. I still have mild side effects of nausea, some vomiting, and constipation, but none of the side effects were as bad as when I was on Ozempic."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Rybelsus, Trulicity, and Ozempic with minimal results both on A1C and weight loss, and lots of stomach issues. Presently on Mounjaro 10 mg for the past year, having gradually increased dosage along the way. Side effects are constipation, and approximately every three weeks I'll have an episode of stomach pain, sulfur burps, and vomiting. It's usually in the middle of the night, throwing up dinner and anything else eaten that day, sitting on my stomach all day. Vomiting, severe sweating, chills. After that, it passes, and I feel perfectly fine until weeks later it happens again. I can tolerate this side effect, and A1C is much better."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started off with 2.5 mg the first month. Second month is 5 mg. Today I take the 3rd needle from the package. Last night was the first time I was nauseous and vomiting. I don't know if it was from the medication, but that day I had eaten chips and chocolate. I had not since I started. I want to believe eating those led me to being sick. Burping started about 3 weeks ago but only lasts for a day. It has happened 3 times. Been stuck on the same weight for 2 weeks."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Had my first dose yesterday, 3/12/23, and today I have intense nausea, and it feels like a rock in my gut. I also have a prescription for an anti-nausea med, which I am not sure is working since I feel like throwing up. It did lower my BGM pretty well. I had previously tried Ozempic with horrible side effects of nausea and vomiting. I lasted the first week, so one dose. I do like the way Mounjaro is administered. I don't think the Ozempic was quite like that."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Zepbound is working for me. I'm down 12 lbs. This is my first month of use. There has been no pain or bruising from the injections. I have to be mindful to eat a small portion. No sugar, I did fine using a little Stevia once. I have slept well. I have energy for pool and Silver Sneakers classes. Some walking. The reprisals are swift and brutal. Later on in the wee hours, I had miserable cramping and diarrhea. Have a receptacle ready because there will be violent vomiting. Vomiting subsides sooner than low abdominal cramping with diarrhea 3 to 5 hours of every few minutes back to the bathroom after being on the toilet for 10 to 20 minutes at a time. Chew your food, don’t eat fast. I do feel full all the time. I will be hungry but for just a little. My stomach is fine otherwise. When the punishment in the restroom is over, it's like it never happened. I’ve noticed I have a strong odor I didn’t have before. Breath, gas, body odor, number 2. It’s manageable."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "When I first started on the 2.5 dose, I had some mild side effects, which included nausea and one episode of vomiting. I slowly increased to 12.5 mg over 3 or 4 months. I had to re-learn what it felt like to actually be full. Zepbound helped me lose 80 pounds in a little over a year and keep it off, but I think the combination of the medication and health coaching helped me to be aware and notice what was happening in my body, which is what is helping me keep the weight off. People say medication is the easy route for weight loss, but that's not true. The medication helped, but I still had to put the work in for myself."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The only time I've experienced vomiting was after eating greasy food then drinking wine, otherwise, none. I've had a little nausea, but nothing to concern me. I'm steadily losing weight, and in 11 weeks, I'm down 19 lbs with about 10 more to go until I'm at a healthier weight for my height. A couple of people have criticized me for using it, but I was using a calorie deficit and intermittent fasting while exercising every day, but just not losing anything, so I'm happy with my decision to start taking it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on week two of Tirzepatide and had nausea and vomiting almost every day. The vomiting is primarily at night, frequently accompanied by dry heaves, and can be intense. Diarrhea was the first week but better entering the second week. When I hit menopause, I had a very difficult time losing weight (I gained 20 pounds), even when on a clean diet with cardio four days a week. Since beginning meds, I have lost nine pounds and have very little to no appetite. My workouts are not as frequent due to the nausea and feeling tired. Even with negative side effects, I will stick with it in hopes my body will adjust. My weight gain has limited my ability to do my job, which requires a lot of bending and lifting. Just the nine pounds of weight loss has helped my knees not ache and more comfortable on the treadmill. I started at .25 mg, and the injection was no bother."
