Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "7.5 dose will cause a distinct slowing of all digestion to the point of causing violent stomach upset (especially if the person overeats). Blood glucose levels dropped significantly at both the 5.0 and 7.5 dosages. I’ve taken 4 - 10 and they have all put me to bed for 4 days. Easy to use following injection instructions."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was skeptical to start the treatment. However, I started and I am happy with it. The first week I lost 4 pounds. After 3 months, I have lost 26 pounds. My glucose is in check and I feel great. No side effects for me, besides some stomach discomfort."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "The nausea and bloated stomach I experienced during the first few days are awful. I have increased my dosage to 10 mg now, and 7.5 mg was not as severe. However, I never feel good at all. Each day is better than the previous one, but I never reach a state of feeling 'good' or 'great.' I have also developed sores in my mouth, and I'm not sure if it is related. My tongue feels as though it has been sandpapered. Additionally, constipation is simply terrible. On the positive side, I do appreciate not having constant thoughts about food. Unfortunately, I haven't lost much weight, which was one of the side effects I was hoping for. Taking the injections is easy for me. However, I really wish someone could assure me that if I continue taking this medication long-term, these unpleasant side effects will eventually go away. To alleviate the nausea, I have tried ginger hard sugar-free candies. I genuinely want this treatment to work for me, but three months of feeling unwell is taking its toll. If I had been losing weight, I would at least see some benefit. On a positive note, my A1c has decreased to 6.5. However, I hate feeling sick all the time."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Had to stop taking after 7 weeks of use. Total loss of appetite, very weak. When I try to eat, cannot do it due to gagging. The smell of foods upsets my stomach. Getting scary now, haven't used Mounjaro for 2 1/2 weeks and no improvement. No energy at all, hard to function."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "2 weeks in and at 2.5 mg, WOW! My blood sugar is usually 150-200 even on several other meds. I stopped all meds other than Metformin/Glipizide combo, and once on Mounjaro, now it's pretty consistent 70-80 and only 150 after meals! Very little side effects. Once in a while, I feel a little upset stomach, but not bad at all. I'll take it!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It's certainly helping the weight loss. Not quickly, but I've gone from 90 to 82 kgs from June till September. I'd already lost 4 kgs this year with healthy eating, walking, and the 'Simply' program. I'm happy with the weight loss, but at 5’4”, I still need to lose another 7 to 10 kgs. Side effects: constipation. I take a million fibergels and lactulose and still go twice a week if I'm lucky, this gives me a tummy ache too. I also felt sick and generally unwell when I first started and on some, not all, step-ups. The last step-up made me so ill I had to miss half of a family wedding. Right now, I'm slightly depressed, which I do have a history of, but it could be circumstantial. If it carries on when I'm home next week, then I might think it's the Mounjaro."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Took my first dose on 5/10/2024, felt fine but did feel loss of appetite. By 5/14, that all changed. Woke up with terrible cramps, diarrhea, chills, and headache. So bad I had to call in to work. Now I don't know if this is what caused it but I was not watching my fat intake, busy with 2 birthdays and Mother's Day. Talked to the provider and they gave me a prescription for nausea. I felt good enough on 5/16 evening to work with one of my horses but today back at work with a gurgling stomach and belching. Can hardly eat because I'm afraid to. My dose was 2.5, provider wants me to wait a week or so and lower my dosage. I am truly afraid to take it, due to the effects I am having now. I had high hopes it would help me lose 30 lbs but not so sure anymore. Effective but not much fun to feel this terrible. Maybe just need my body to get used to it. Don't know, I may have triggered this by poor eating after the injection."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "1st week @ 2.5 was okay. Nothing significant. 2nd week @ 5.5 significant change. Nausea, constipation, burning stomach put me in bed for 4 days with no appetite at all. Wife makes me protein smoothies, which seems to be the only thing I can eat/drink. Week 3 supposed to be @ 7.5. I, personally, cannot do it. I take a little more than 5.5, but I have no appetite at all! Food doesn't even look appealing, nor does it taste the same. I have looked at all comments on different platforms and do not see anyone stating this. I'm going to stay on it and regulate it myself. I've gone from 270 to 229. Looking to lose more. I've lost muscle mass but have 0 energy to exercise. Any suggestions?"

"I started taking the 2.5 on 9/1 after I had begun IF on August 1. Overall, I have now lost 12 pounds over 7 weeks. My appetite is significantly reduced; my biggest concern is I’m not getting enough calories due to lack of appetite and also a restricted eating window. Since being on the medication, I have experienced constipation, diarrhea, especially on day two and three after the shot each week, general fatigue, and a generally uneasy stomach, and sometimes stomach cramps. Usually, these wear off by day five and are worse on day three and four. It is not clear to me if my weight loss is due to the fasting or the medication or both, but it does seem to be steady at 1 to 2 pounds per week as I am tracking it. I only hope that it continues to lose at this rate and does not plateau! I am ready to move up to 5 mg next week, and I’m a little nervous to experience stronger side effects. So far, I am thrilled to actually be losing weight! SW: 187. GW: 130.5’2” age 54."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Fatigue like I’ve never had before. My blood sugars are not too low, so that’s not causing it. I’ve been on for 5 weeks. Very, very loose stools and stomach cramping. I’m going to change medication in three weeks when I finish my supply. I’ve lost 10 lbs, but not worth all this fatigue. By 3:00 each day, I’m done."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have found Zepbound to be a miracle drug and a life changer! I have lost 113 lbs in 18 months. I am 9 lbs from achieving my goal weight and BMI. I will say that in the first 4-6 weeks I had some side effects - mostly that it was hard to find any food that was appealing. I only experienced stomach and intestinal issues if I overate or if I had food that was very high in fat. When I cut those items from my diet and regulated the size of my meals, I no longer had any issues. My insurance forced me to change over to Wegovy, and I will say I am having very severe stomach and intestinal issues with this medication and it has increased in severity over time. In the past week, I have been barely able to eat at all. I just started a new job and am hoping the new insurance will allow me to go back on Zepbound. I wish everyone out there who needs this type of medication to regulate their appetite all the best! I know we have suffered so much with fat-shaming blame. We deserve to be healthy!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Desperate to regain health as too fat to walk without breathing heavily. Effort. Visited clinic; simple decision to pick tirzepatide. Learned from clinic drug with greatest success at their clinic. Stomach, stomach, stomach! was the main issue for the first month. Gradually decreased until only upset stomach after injection-upset for the first 24 hours. Almost immediate, after the 1st injection, no hunger thoughts at all (miracle!) until the 4th week, when I felt I wanted more to eat for breakfast. When I return for the 3-month checkup in October, will request bumping up to 5 ml if hunger pangs continue. Have lost 4 lbs since 7/11/2024. Slow progress, but am happy with how hunger and food desire quieted, very successfully. Looking forward to where this takes me."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Lost weight in the first few weeks. Some issues with belching and diarrhea for the first several weeks, which declined over time. But then, after approximately 6 weeks, no weight loss was noted. Still eating less, so hoping that the decreased intake of calories would reduce weight. Then had COVID, so had to miss a week, stayed on original dosage, no weight loss. Then, when dosage increased after the 3rd month, symptoms returned: upset stomach and diarrhea. During the same period, slightly elevated temperature, fatigue, headaches. Lost from 240 to 218 in 4 months, so cost was $100 per pound."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Mounjaro since December 2022, beginning with the lowest dose of 2.5 mg, and increasing to 5 mg, briefly going to 7.5 mg, and currently back at 5 mg. Anyway, I had already made huge changes to my diet and reduced my insulin, but couldn’t quite get my glucose levels where I wanted them. For the most part, it’s been great. I’m now off all other diabetic medication, including insulin, and am able to keep my blood sugars within range. I have some issues with constipation and definitely need to use a little help to keep things moving. Occasionally, I have a headache for several hours after injecting. I have gotten a little bit of a sour stomach after some meals, but not bad. I have lost a little weight, not a lot, but I’m not in a hurry to lose. I think I’d probably lose more at a higher dose. My last HbA1c was 5.3, and I would like to get it lower. I had more stomach trouble at the higher dose. I'm glad that I’m on it. An injection once a week is better than daily."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am very happy with the weight loss (35 lbs). I generally tolerate it well. Upon each increase, side effects returned but were manageable. The benefits certainly outweighed the few side effects and brought my A1C down to 5.2. Side effects: rapid heartbeat, nausea, headache, acid reflux, belching, and stomach upset."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Works well for me, little or no side effects. I lost about 15# in about 8 months. My cholesterol dropped some points. I don't have a gallbladder, and I do have a few side effects from that. I still need to lose 15-20# to get to a healthy BMI. I started at 167 and now 150. Helps turn the food noise off and boredom snacking. I crave fruits and veggies and not junk food. I can't eat a lot of fatty foods since I don't have a gallbladder. I try to get a lot of protein, and if I eat smaller portions, I don't get heartburn and stomach problems. I try to spend 30 min working my muscles and some cardio daily. Nothing fancy, I think a good vitamin would help. I am happy with my results. You still have to work for it. It's not a magic shot! If you eat crap and too much crap, you feel worse than crap. I mean super sick for a few days like when I ate a few Krispy Kreme donuts, and it was not worth it."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "When I first took it in January 2025, I did have diarrhea and stomach issues. That has all abated and I have no more issues. It has really helped me with eating smaller portions than I was doing before. I've lost 22 lbs. since January. I had an A1C done recently at 5.5, which is outstanding. For me, this has been worth taking. Next week, I will be taking the 12.5 mg dose."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve been taking Mounjaro for three years. Side effects in the beginning were pretty bad. I had stomach issues that took time and trials to get under control. I also was uncomfortably cold. The stigma of losing weight was a new thing for me. Family thought I had an eating disorder. I vomited a lot in the first year. I lost 70 pounds. I lost a ton of hair and muscle. Today, I am on a maintenance dose of 10. I have put back on 15 pounds, and I’m good with that. My A1C is stable at 5.7. I still crave healthy foods instead of junk. My aversion to fried food and meats is still active. I take 2 stool softeners and 1 tablespoon of MiraLAX daily. Drink plenty of fluids to keep things flowing. I would do it all over even knowing the struggles. The benefits are too much to list."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started out at the lowest dose due to stomach issues with new meds. Things went well for 4 weeks, then bumped up to 5 mg. No major side effects, no sickness, etc. About 4 weeks in, started having hunger issues. Went to 5 mg twice a week and did great for 3 months. Weight loss was 1 to 2 lbs per week. Just now starting 15 mg once a week."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 67-year-old male. I have been taking Zepbound for 3 1/2 months now. Currently taking the 7.5 strength. I have just reached the 50 lb threshold or just under 20% of my body weight lost. The drug is not a magic potion as you still have to eat the right calorie foods, but the drug makes it much easier as I am really never very hungry and fill up quicker. My biggest struggle has been wanting to snack at night from boredom. As for side effects, I belch more, early on, I experienced some upset stomach but found if I eat a few crackers with peanut butter, I feel a lot better. I also experience some constipation, but my doctor said that was mainly due to the reduced amount of calories I am consuming. Overall, I am thrilled with the experience and results. I plan on losing another 5-10 pounds, then work on maintaining new eating habits. My doctor suggested I order some extra of the 5 strength and keep it back to take if I start sliding back into old eating habits. I plan on doing that."
