Tirzepatide "I was prescribed Zepbound as a minor by my PCP since a close relative had great improvement of symptoms on the drug. I had moderate/severe side effects, including severe abdominal pain, complete lack of appetite leading to hypoglycemia, exhaustion and weakness, increased stress, nausea, IBS flare-ups, and significantly increased suicidality. While my lab results showed improvement, my physical and mental well-being plummeted. I was told that side effects would subside and that they were mild, but unfortunately my side effects did not subside and were unmanageable for me. Luckily, I was able to convince my doctor that it wasn’t working after a few more months and am now off the drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Ok, so month 2. Started at 220, down to 208. Roughly 2 lbs a week. Which, in my opinion, is good. My gut/brain communication is back, and now my tummy has been telling my brain that it's full in a timely manner, and I have no overwhelming desire to finish what's on my plate. I can let it go. I've stopped compulsively overeating, and actually feel satisfied with a small meal. I take liquid vitamins to try and stave off the plateau. But I don't think it's coming for a while. My goal weight is 140 lbs. I'm 4'11' and solidly built, so 140 is healthy on me. I have not had any negative side effects. No tiredness, nausea, cramps, constipation, or vomiting. My allergies have calmed down a lot. And my hypoglycemia has mostly righted itself. Meaning, I only experience it now on the last two days before my next shot. I just went up to 7.5 mg today. So far so good. I feel excellent and usually experience a bit of relaxation and euphoria about an hour after. I hope the higher dose will fix the hypoglycemia."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My experience with tirzepatide has been quite good, with relatively few side effects and a weight loss of 17 pounds over the past 4 months. The early side effects I experienced were mild constipation and diarrhea, both of which have gone away. I also noticed I was feeling more tired than usual. About midway through my 4 months of tirzepatide, I changed e-pharmacies. The e-pharmacy I'm working with right now adds Vitamin B-6 to the formulation, and I'm currently experiencing some sleeplessness on days 1 and 2 of my injection cycle and no more tiredness. I just completed my refill conversation with the e-pharmacy provider and will be moving to the highest tirzepatide dosage available... somewhere in the 13 mg range. I will also mention that I noticed my mood was a little 'down' when I first started taking tirzepatide, and that (if it was a side effect) has also gotten better over time."

Only complaint was the sudden waves of feeling nauseated, but not something that eating saltine crackers couldn't remedy. I have been at 7.5 for 3 months and doing much better. Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes. I am in my 7th week, and the med is doing well. I passed a few days with abdominal difficulties and tiredness when I started, but all is well now at present. The dosage needs to be increased as my sugar levels are not all the way down. I soon get my A1C checked. Prayers it's lowered. So, I feel this med, Mounjaro, is a good med for type 2 diabetes. I have had a decrease in my appetite. Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am nearing the end of my 3rd week with Mounjaro 2.5 mg. The side effects in the first week were awful: heartburn, sulfur burps, nausea, and slight headache. These side effects lessened by the 5th day. The second week was a little better. The side effects were somewhat better and only lasted for 4-5 days. Fatigue crept in the second week. Now I am on Day 5 of my third week. The main side effects now are acid reflux, slight nausea, and extreme weakness and tiredness. My appetite is really suppressed on Mounjaro. I don’t get hungry at all. So far I have lost 13 lbs in 19 days. The weight loss is great, but the fatigue and weakness are really bad. I am a 63 y/o male, type 2 diabetic for 25 years, currently 252 lbs. This medicine is not for everyone, and I don’t think I will be taking another Mounjaro injection."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Was only taking this for 7 weeks. The .25 dose I had no side effects. Then went to the .50 dose, and that is when everything started. Had an allergic reaction at the injection site. I got extreme itching and swelling by the 3rd day after the shot, I swelled at the injection site to the size of a softball. My body ached all over, after eating, I would have to go straight to the bathroom. Was getting severe cramping in my legs at night. Was extremely tired after the 2nd dose of the .50. So tried one more dose the following week in a different area and got the same reaction. Called the doctor and going to go back to previous medication."
