Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "My dose at 2.5 mg was tolerable. Minimal side effects. 5 mg more side effects with nausea, sour stomach, gas. 7.5 mg has been a disaster. Heartburn. Headaches, lethargy, tiredness, no appetite, and need to force food on myself. Low blood sugar on CGM Libre2. I can't eat enough to get myself back to 90. I keep pegging 70 because I can't eat and am sick to my stomach all the time. My sleep is interrupted, and I must lie down constantly. I feel like I want to sleep all the time. Weight has dropped from 250 to 233 lbs, but if I can't get out of bed, what's the point? I will talk to my doc about going back to 2.5 mg for the A1C control, but this drug needs work."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "My weight has always been a roller coaster since I’m a stress eater. For the past four years, I’ve been told my A1c was borderline, even when I was a smaller size of 130 lbs. And diabetes doesn’t run in our family. Last fall, my weight topped off at 211 lbs. I was dismayed, I thought, now what, back to square one. I went to my weight loss practitioner again to restart HCG and phentermine, working out, I wasn’t seeing results. Then she introduced me to Mounjaro, a coupon I received, thus began my true weight loss journey. Having cut out sweets, I never eat fried foods, etc. I’ve lost 60 lbs in 5 months. It’s pricey, my insurance wouldn’t cover it, so I had to use my HSA or my FSA. I do have to make myself eat, but I eat much smaller portions. So what I’m saving on groceries, I’m spending on weight loss. In the beginning, I was tired a lot, but I think it was an adjustment phase. It’s worth it."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The first dose I felt like I was sunburnt all over my skin from my pelvis upward. I have never had such a feeling. It went away with antihistamine. It didn’t happen again. Four doses of 2.5 mg I lost 8 lbs. I felt very cold and tired, so I stopped using."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been taking it for 10 days. First days, severe indigestion, tiredness, and virtually no appetite. Now, no indigestion, appetite returned, but not as much as before. Which is the goal, right? So far, I’ve dropped five to six pounds, most in the first few days. I weigh myself each Wednesday and Saturday. If the last two days’ weight loss turns out to be routine, I figure to drop about 2 lb. a week."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started using this as I'd already lost 3 stone through diet and exercise. All of a sudden, that steady 1 pound a week weight loss just stopped and nothing shifted it. I decided to give Mounjaro a go. 1st week I lost 2 pounds, 2nd week 2 pounds, and my 3rd week 4 pounds... amazing! I do combine with a 1500-calorie diet and regular exercise at the gym. I don't have the energy at the gym that I did before and can feel tired at times, but they seem to be the only side effects. I'll be going up to a maintenance dose of 5 mg soon."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started using Mounjaro in March 2023, with a 2.5 mg dose, for weight loss. I shifted to 5 mg after 2 weeks; I stayed with each dose for around 2-3 months. I lost 10 kg by August (6 mo.). I had a freeze in weight loss for 5 weeks, then I lost 1.8 kg in 2 weeks when I took 10 mg. In terms of side effects, I experienced them during the first weeks of every upgrade in dose; like nausea and sometimes vomiting, headache, stomach pain, constipation and diarrhea, laziness, body ache, mood change; the worst was with 10 mg. As I have urticaria, I experienced an allergy at the needle site after week 10, which resolved in 3 days every time. This week I have pelvic, vaginal, and lower abdominal pain similar to period pain, although I have been menopausal for 4 years! I am happy about the results with minimal side effects."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I had previously taken Byetta, Ozempic, and Trulicity. With each, I maybe lost 10-12 pounds. I started Mounjaro on August 1, 2024. I weighed 195 pounds. Four months later, I have not had any nausea. I do have some tiredness and constipation. As of December 1, 2024, I have lost 32 pounds. Hope to continue for at least four more months. Would like to lose another 20 pounds if possible. Hope to find a way to keep the weight off! Feel so much better. Was wearing size 16-18, now 12-14! My A1C went from 7.4 to 5.7!! Best news!! All other blood work numbers improved, especially cholesterol. I have very little craving for sugar or meat but try to eat at least four ounces of meat per day!"

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 45 years old and female. I have been on Zepbound for eight months. I started at 275 lbs and am now at 235 lbs. The day after I first took it, my stomach was so full it hurt, just from my normal portion sizes. Over time, the dosage has increased to 7.5. I am a little more tired than usual, but that's a small price to pay. The vast majority of side effects occur when I overeat. There's no way to know which of these I will have then: pain in my stomach, egg burps, loud flatulence, and/or diarrhea. I have been sick a lot more than usual, along with swollen lymph nodes and hoarseness, but there's no way to know if they're related or not."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro in July '22 after losing 50 pounds (243 to 193, 5'2") on Trulicity. I am now closing in on losing 50 pounds on Mounjaro (approaching 143 lbs) and can honestly say that it has changed my life. My cravings for sugar are nearly gone. I drink 2 protein shakes each day and have found eating healthy and eating smaller portion sizes easy. I am a person who had horrible hyperemesis gravidarum during pregnancy, so I knew I would have the side effect of being nauseous. And I do become quite nauseous for the 2 days after the injection. However, I am able to manage this pretty easily as it passes quickly. Going from 12.5 mg to 15 mg was too much for me. I do best on the 10 mg. I do get minor constipation and occasional tiredness, but overall I feel 100 times better than I did 100 pounds heavier and I am no longer in the diabetic range."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on week two of Tirzepatide and had nausea and vomiting almost every day. The vomiting is primarily at night, frequently accompanied by dry heaves, and can be intense. Diarrhea was the first week but better entering the second week. When I hit menopause, I had a very difficult time losing weight (I gained 20 pounds), even when on a clean diet with cardio four days a week. Since beginning meds, I have lost nine pounds and have very little to no appetite. My workouts are not as frequent due to the nausea and feeling tired. Even with negative side effects, I will stick with it in hopes my body will adjust. My weight gain has limited my ability to do my job, which requires a lot of bending and lifting. Just the nine pounds of weight loss has helped my knees not ache and more comfortable on the treadmill. I started at .25 mg, and the injection was no bother."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Unsure if the dose is too large. Severe decrease in appetite. Concurrent weight loss - 23 lbs so far. Weak. Tired all the time. Blood sugar in really good control, except for needing antibiotics to fight a severe cold and then flu. That has caused blood sugars in the 250 to 315 range. Strange lack of energy. Am on a 15 mg dose currently. Too much?"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "It worked pretty well for about three months. Blood sugar was under control, and I was losing weight for the first time in a few years. Then in month four, my heart started beating fast, I was tired all the time, and most upsetting were the suicidal thoughts and low mood. Stopping this medication and going back to previous medications stopped these side effects."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Female, 52 years, beginning weight 177 lbs, 5'7. I took my fourth injection of 2.5 mg this morning. I've been eating about 500 calories/day. The first week I lost 2 lbs and I walked 3 miles 2 days and lifted weights 1 day. The second week back to 177 lbs, including 2 days in the gym. In the third week, I traveled and did not exercise or weigh myself. I ate out for Mother's Day and for a friend's baby shower. When I returned, I was 175 lbs. In 3 weeks, I've lost a total of 4 lbs. Side effects for me have been a little more tired-duh-less energy going in. This doesn't seem worth the cost. We meet with the doctor tomorrow about upping it to 5 mg. My husband has been diligent about walking 5-7 miles per day also on 2.5 mg, 500 calories/day, and has lost about 8 lbs. (He has more to lose than me). His side effects were little nausea the first week, a slight decrease in focus and energy, some mild headaches, and diarrhea. Says pooping is faster."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Love this medication and have lost 10kg in 6 weeks with a good diet and exercise. However, the side effects can be pretty intense. 2.5mg - sulfur burps, lethargy, flatulence, weight loss, decreased appetite, nausea. 5mg - sulfur burps, flatulence, abdominal distension, nausea, weight loss, chills, fever, headaches."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I began with a low dose of Mounjaro and, after two doses, began experiencing extreme tiredness to the point of not being able to function. Nausea was off the chart, so I've decided not to use it anymore. Struggling with my weight gain and nutrition is a welcome battle compared to suffering the side effects of this medication."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I just started my second month on Mounjaro. My blood sugar is very steadily normal. I have lost five pounds. I’m a bit more tired, which I think may be a side effect. Otherwise, all is fine. I love the easy applicators for administering the Mounjaro."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been using Mounjaro for a year now, with order coming from cosmicaesthetics.com. First time I had negative effects, nausea, constant vomiting, and tiredness. My body got used to it, and ever since, my blood sugar has been in check. I really advise anyone who is diabetic."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Good results were decreased appetite, decreased alcohol cravings, less hot flashes, skin tags shrivel up, less hair on face, lips, chin, weight loss, and food noise gone! Side effects were nausea, increased tiredness, fatigue, constipation, and skin sensitivity."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Amazing reduction in appetite, and I lost 16 pounds without a struggle. I still get hungry but feel satisfied with much less, and also get more satiety from foods with higher fat content instead of an appetite boost. As another plus, I don't necessarily get a migraine if I am late for or miss a meal anymore. I have heard people concerned that it could somehow take away enjoyment of eating, but that has not happened to me at all. I am going to have to combine it with a lower-fat diet to get healthier lipids and lose more weight, but it's been a very helpful and hopeful experience so far. I've always felt I could be closer to a normal weight if my appetite and satiety mechanism wasn't out of whack, and it's nice to have that confirmed. My only concern is whether I am more tired or a little weaker; other side effects are all manageable."

Tirzepatide "I have been on the medication for about 2 months now, and the weight loss has been amazing, but unfortunately, I feel sick and drained all of the time. I am 37 years old, and nothing was working to help me budge the pounds, so I feel like it’s worth a tad of misery. I have come to the conclusion that the nausea and tiredness are probably not going to get better, so I want to hit my goal weight and taper off. It has been worth it to me. I am down 16 lbs in 2 months."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Mounjaro truly was the miracle drug I’d waited for my entire life. Yo-yo dieting for 45 years. Mounjaro took away cravings, and made me feel full, and honestly not that interested in eating until I was truly hungry. I’m at my high school weight and loving it. Hoping I can maintain or get prescribed a maintenance dose. No major side effects except a little tired the first month. Easy to administer. I highly recommend it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Ok, so month 2. Started at 220, down to 208. Roughly 2 lbs a week. Which, in my opinion, is good. My gut/brain communication is back, and now my tummy has been telling my brain that it's full in a timely manner, and I have no overwhelming desire to finish what's on my plate. I can let it go. I've stopped compulsively overeating, and actually feel satisfied with a small meal. I take liquid vitamins to try and stave off the plateau. But I don't think it's coming for a while. My goal weight is 140 lbs. I'm 4'11' and solidly built, so 140 is healthy on me. I have not had any negative side effects. No tiredness, nausea, cramps, constipation, or vomiting. My allergies have calmed down a lot. And my hypoglycemia has mostly righted itself. Meaning, I only experience it now on the last two days before my next shot. I just went up to 7.5 mg today. So far so good. I feel excellent and usually experience a bit of relaxation and euphoria about an hour after. I hope the higher dose will fix the hypoglycemia."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Had to stop taking after 7 weeks of use. Total loss of appetite, very weak. When I try to eat, cannot do it due to gagging. The smell of foods upsets my stomach. Getting scary now, haven't used Mounjaro for 2 1/2 weeks and no improvement. No energy at all, hard to function."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Have been on it since the first of 2024. At first, at the lowest dose, it made me weak and tired but all that improved over time. Only complaint was the sudden waves of feeling nauseated, but not something that eating saltine crackers couldn't remedy. I have been at 7.5 for 3 months and doing much better. I have gone from 238 to 190 in this time period! So happy with the weight loss and being able to wear smaller clothes. I just have to find a new provider as the one I use now wanted to change the 7.5mg dose from $450 up to $640!"
