I lost 6 pounds this first week. I never thought I had 'food noise,' but I guess I did! I found myself not thinking about what I was eating or going to eat at all. Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking this in March 2024. I've had some weight loss (about 30 pounds), but not as much as I anticipated. I occasionally experience nausea and stomach pain, but it's usually after a very fatty meal (avoiding those types of foods minimizes this symptom for me). When I reached the 10 ml dose, I began having an itchy, raised red area surrounding the injection site that dissipates by the end of the week. I had one shot that didn't dispense the needle until I held it up to inspect it. I am happy I started this medication because I did lose weight (and hopefully will continue to) and was able to stop taking metformin! The worst thing about taking this medication is trying to get the prescription filled. I have had more issues trying to get my refills for Zepbound than any prescriptions for opioid pain medication (which I have taken in the past post-surgery due to an allergy to acetaminophen). At first, it was supply issues. Now it's preauths and difficulty staying at a certain dose."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "This is my third review. I’m 5’0”, started weight at 157. On Mounjaro one year. I’m a diabetic kidney transplant recipient, also have high blood pressure. Was on Trulicity for approximately 5 years but started having stomach pains, so was switched to Mounjaro. My A1C is now 5.8, my weight fluctuates from 109 to 111. I lost 47 lbs, 29% kids. I started on 5 mg because I had already been on Trulicity. My glucose levels started improving with the 10 mg, and weight loss started to come off more, which I started in August 2024. I’m very appreciative of Mounjaro, and for 2 months my dose is down to 7.5 mg, and glucose levels and weight are maintained with this dose. In the beginning, I had minimal side effects and currently don’t have any side effects at all. Mounjaro affects everyone differently. Mounjaro is very easy to use. I’m sure there are negative reviews, but please try it for yourself."

Had very mild side effects initially, now just a little constipated, but coffee cures that. Feel better about myself. Very happy. Wish this came out years ago. Been diabetic since 42. Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 45 years old and female. I have been on Zepbound for eight months. I started at 275 lbs and am now at 235 lbs. The day after I first took it, my stomach was so full it hurt, just from my normal portion sizes. Over time, the dosage has increased to 7.5. I am a little more tired than usual, but that's a small price to pay. The vast majority of side effects occur when I overeat. There's no way to know which of these I will have then: pain in my stomach, egg burps, loud flatulence, and/or diarrhea. I have been sick a lot more than usual, along with swollen lymph nodes and hoarseness, but there's no way to know if they're related or not."

Tirzepatide "I have diarrhea, lower stomach pain, dry heaves every time I eat. I also have back pain, but that is not unusual. This pain might be a little different though. I didn't know to tell my doctor that I have had a vein occlusion in my right eye quite a few years ago. I don't know if that is important or not. I don't think I am reading as well. Not sure."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started taking tirzepatide in June 2024 at a max of 10 mg and lost 66 pounds without working out. Side effects were an itchy, warm rash at injection sites, which I was told was a mild allergic reaction. Extreme fatigue, couldn’t work out, get up from the couch, or even go up the stairs. It never really went away. Extreme nausea every time I went up a dosage or overate. Lots of stomach pains, mostly in the beginning because I was still trying to eat what I normally do and got full way too easily. Can only eat one small meal a day. Easily dehydrated, still trying to work on that. Heart rate lowered significantly and I still don’t know why. Still taking it as of now, 2025, but I think I would have rather stayed at 7.5 mg because it was more comfortable, just lost less weight that way. Unfortunately, I know for a fact that I’d gain some weight back if I stopped taking it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have had no issues with my dose or injections of tirzepatide. I feel it is doing what it is supposed to. I have been on it for 7 weeks and have lost 10 lbs. I started on a low dose, then it was upped a bit the second month. So far, it helps control my appetite and gives me energy. I do feel minor side effects of stomach pain, but only when I eat too many carbs or food in general. It definitely is working well for me. I get mine compounded and sent to me. Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "When I first started taking Mounjaro, I didn't feel like eating at all, and I started to lose weight quickly. In fact, I lost 9 pounds in two weeks. I had diarrhea about three times a day in the beginning, it wasn't until about three months for that to stop. But now I have issues with belching and gas. I am now down 50 lbs, which is great, but I lost a lot of muscle tone. All in all, my blood sugar is doing great. Yes, it is easy to take this medicine, one quick auto-injection each week in your thigh, simple and very easy with very little pain at all. I was very excited to try this new medicine for my Type 2 diabetes. It works very well, I went from an A1C of 13 down to less than 7 in 2 months. I lost 12 lbs and felt great in the beginning. But let me tell you! The side effects that come along with this can be very strong and disruptive. I have had nonstop diarrhea for the last 6 months, extreme stomach pain 2 days after I take the injection, very bad gas, and horrible stinky burps that just come out of my stomach at any time. I was on the 5 mg and slowly worked up to the 10 mg over 4 months. That sent me to the emergency room with extreme vomiting, severe abdominal pain, and complete misery. I just don't think the pain and side effects are worth it. I am trying to eat better and really watch my diet and exercise."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in May 2025. My doctor prescribed Mounjaro as I also was a bit overweight with high BP. Started at 2.5 mg. Initial reaction was stomach pain and nausea that subsided within the first couple of weeks. I also had some constipation. After a month, my doc increased me to 5 mg. Stomach pain came back but not as bad, then subsided by month 2. Weight loss at 12 weeks was 20 lbs. BP was lowered. Overall I was feeling well, eating better, feeling less pain, even from my fibromyalgia. Started my fourth month on Mounjaro (3rd month at 5 mg) and within a day I felt very off balance, blurry vision in my right eye, headache on right side. Mid of month 3 I had some major right upper back pain and she ordered ultrasounds. Now a CT scan of my head. Waiting results."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Rybelsus, Trulicity, and Ozempic with minimal results both on A1C and weight loss, and lots of stomach issues. Presently on Mounjaro 10 mg for the past year, having gradually increased dosage along the way. Side effects are constipation, and approximately every three weeks I'll have an episode of stomach pain, sulfur burps, and vomiting. It's usually in the middle of the night, throwing up dinner and anything else eaten that day, sitting on my stomach all day. Vomiting, severe sweating, chills. After that, it passes, and I feel perfectly fine until weeks later it happens again. I can tolerate this side effect, and A1C is much better."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have always been a chubby girl. Since I've hit 29 years old, I have now had trouble losing the extra pounds. I was at 206 lb at 5'8" on June 20th, 2025. I started Mounjaro and lost a whopping 14 lb in only 7 weeks on the 2.5 mg dose. I have since stopped, as the only thing it did for me was get rid of food noise, which, to be honest, food was never my issue. I don't eat terribly, and believe the weight was stress and wine! I would only suggest this medication for those who need to lose over 100 lb. If you're only trying to shed 20-50, it is not worth the side effects. It started with anxiety, stomach pain, diarrhea, and then slowly got less and less. However, I could not shake the mental effects. For some weird reason, it gave me brain zaps. I have also now been diagnosed with gallstones. I have since stopped med, and continued to lose weight! Meaning, you CAN do it, but you need to have discipline. My takeaway is this: UNLESS you have a hormonal imbalance or you are 300 lb+, do not bother."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Mounjaro since December 2022, beginning with the lowest dose of 2.5 mg, and increasing to 5 mg, briefly going to 7.5 mg, and currently back at 5 mg. Anyway, I had already made huge changes to my diet and reduced my insulin, but couldn’t quite get my glucose levels where I wanted them. For the most part, it’s been great. I’m now off all other diabetic medication, including insulin, and am able to keep my blood sugars within range. I have some issues with constipation and definitely need to use a little help to keep things moving. Occasionally, I have a headache for several hours after injecting. I have gotten a little bit of a sour stomach after some meals, but not bad. I have lost a little weight, not a lot, but I’m not in a hurry to lose. I think I’d probably lose more at a higher dose. My last HbA1c was 5.3, and I would like to get it lower. I had more stomach trouble at the higher dose. I'm glad that I’m on it. An injection once a week is better than daily."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I had to start at 2.5 mg due to always having issues with new medications and stomach trouble. I tolerated that well and then moved to 5.0 mg. Hunger came on around four weeks into the medication, so I started taking 5 mg twice a week. Lost around 15 pounds during the next 5 months, then the hunger came back on. Just now started 5 mg three times a week. Will see. Not pleased with my weight loss but am happy with my blood sugar levels."

"Does work to lower blood sugar/A1C. Also works to lose weight. Over long-term use, it seems to allow for slight weight increase. Side effects include loss of appetite, fatigue, burps, stomach pain, nausea, and gastroparesis. After about two months of use, I developed an extreme sensitivity to touch. My skin became very painful all over, feeling like a mild sunburn with a horrible sensation of severe chills all the time. I am trying to tolerate the chills, but it is very severe."
