Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Unsure if the dose is too large. Severe decrease in appetite. Concurrent weight loss - 23 lbs so far. Weak. Tired all the time. Blood sugar in really good control, except for needing antibiotics to fight a severe cold and then flu. That has caused blood sugars in the 250 to 315 range. Strange lack of energy. Am on a 15 mg dose currently. Too much?"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Mounjaro for almost three months, increasing the dosage each month according to my doctor's prescriptions due to my Type 2 diabetes. I have experienced dizziness, constipation, lack of appetite, blurry vision, and nausea after eating a meal. None of the side effects I've experienced have been severe enough to warrant discontinuing Mounjaro. My A1C has dropped from 8.5 to 6.3, and I have lost 30+ pounds since starting Mounjaro. I have not experienced diarrhea, vomiting, or pancreatitis. I am pleased with Mounjaro, which has resulted in weight loss and diminishing A1C levels."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro 5 ml a month ago and lost about 11 lbs. I don't experience any bad side effects. Suppressed appetite to the point of aversion to food, a few bites, and feel full as if I had eaten a large portion. Looking forward to lowering my A1C and blood sugar levels, looking better (skinnier) is an extra benefit at this point."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was placed on Mounjaro after a five-month-long (with some small breaks) stint to lose weight. For a reference point, I am in my twenties and weigh 280 lbs. I was constantly at the gym but saw zero lbs drop on the scale. I consulted my doctor and we decided to try this instead. I'm currently working through week 2, and so far, the medicine is working for me. I've lost five lbs simply by combining this medicine and consistent gym visits (4/week). The medicine itself suppresses the appetite, and I find myself fuller for much longer. I also don't have much desire for junky foods."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Diminished appetite, weight loss. I have been on both Mounjaro & tirzepatide for 6 months. Going slow to increase dosage with monitoring by healthcare is important. During the winter, I had bronchial flu & was prescribed 3 antibiotics & 3 rounds of steroids for 3 months. I regained some of the weight. I have not been able to get Mounjaro due to a shortage, so I found a local health/diet clinic to begin the tirzepatide again. Diet & exercise are key for assisting the tirzepatide to work properly. I wish insurance/medicare assisted in the payment, but it’s worth getting my BMI out of obesity range."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am two injections in, third one tomorrow. I have occasional nausea during sleep, but only if I ate more than I should or if I ate something sugary (still learning the ins and outs), lots of burping, and a decreased appetite. Have lost 7 lbs so far, and my blood sugar has been much easier to control."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started 2 months ago. First month on a low dose and then increased to 0.6. I do not have any major side effects unless you count no appetite and not wanting to eat a side effect. I have never thrown out so much food because I just do not want to eat, and when I do, it is a small amount. Since I started, I have lost 5 kg, which is a major thing for me as I have been 105-107 kg for the past 3 years. I especially like the fact that I only need to inject once a week. My previous injectable was daily and made me feel nauseous."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Mounjaro since Sep 2022. I started off with the 2.5 mg for about a month with no issues. My provider then moved me to 5 mg in October. Once again, no issues, and I started losing weight. 15 lbs in about 6 weeks. I was then moved up to 7.5 mg in November and have been miserable ever since. I have no appetite, severe constipation, major headaches, and vomiting, and I am now having issues with low blood pressure (causing lightheadedness, dizziness, and vision issues), which I believe is being caused by my never wanting to eat or drink anything. I have informed my provider of this, and she is now wanting to send me to a cardiologist to make sure my heart is working properly. She has also decided to lower my dosage back to 5 mg. I am hoping this change helps because so far, my type 2 diabetes is under control, and my sugars have been fantastic!"

Tirzepatide "I'm just ending my second month on Mounjaro, having lost 1 1/2 stone. I've been unwell on and off the two months I've been taking it, but hoping the end result will outshine in the end and relieve my pain and need for constant meds. I have felt very weak, no appetite at all. I drink loads of fluids (water). I've been told my meds are the reason I've got excess weight I can't lose. I honestly don't know if me feeling rubbish is the jag, but I'm sure it must have something to do with it."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "My first shot (2.5) was 7/11/24. Had a 2-week interruption due to availability and doctor/pharmacy miscommunication. After the interruption, I was on the 5 mg and have now been taking it for 14 weeks. After one month, my A1C went down to 6.5, and I can't wait to see what it will be when I get my next blood work in about 3 weeks. My FBS has been consistently below 100! Losing weight is just a bonus to me - started at 203 pounds and I'm now down to 183 pounds. I've had no ill effects (I don't really consider loss of appetite as a bad side effect). I eat when I'm hungry until I'm no longer hungry, and I'm not interested in snack/junk foods. Win/win! I try to eat healthy (minimal processed foods) and exercise every other day on my stationary bike and upper body weights/resistance bands. At 61, I think I'm healthier than I have been in ages."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Had to stop taking after 7 weeks of use. Total loss of appetite, very weak. When I try to eat, cannot do it due to gagging. The smell of foods upsets my stomach. Getting scary now, haven't used Mounjaro for 2 1/2 weeks and no improvement. No energy at all, hard to function."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am coming up to a year. I've lost almost 40 pounds. Yeah for me! Side effects are loss of appetite along with feeling nauseous to painful arms. Other than that, my A1C when last checked was 5.3. My doctor said I now am normal in both my BMI and A1C. I am now on 7.5. The only bad thing has been the pain in my arms. Sometimes it wakes me up at night. I eat mostly protein and drink lots of water. Some days I do crave junk food, however, when I do, I eat it! Dot's Pretzels is my enemy. I have found that eating fruit after taking my shot helps with the side effects. But what do we do with the used pens? It's been a journey, but so far, doable. Good luck to all who are just starting!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Great drug! Loss of appetite and no hungry feeling! I can eat something, but just a small amount, but no feeling of hunger. Really, an experience some constipation, but taking a laxative every other day, such as MiraLAX, took care of that problem. No side effects whatsoever other than that."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Fantastic weight loss, lower A1C, causes slight nausea and feeling of fullness, and loss of appetite. Overeating causes nausea. Constipation, an additional side effect, easily counteracted by increasing fluid intake above 1.5 liters in 8 hours."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Took my first dose on 5/10/2024, felt fine but did feel loss of appetite. By 5/14, that all changed. Woke up with terrible cramps, diarrhea, chills, and headache. So bad I had to call in to work. Now I don't know if this is what caused it but I was not watching my fat intake, busy with 2 birthdays and Mother's Day. Talked to the provider and they gave me a prescription for nausea. I felt good enough on 5/16 evening to work with one of my horses but today back at work with a gurgling stomach and belching. Can hardly eat because I'm afraid to. My dose was 2.5, provider wants me to wait a week or so and lower my dosage. I am truly afraid to take it, due to the effects I am having now. I had high hopes it would help me lose 30 lbs but not so sure anymore. Effective but not much fun to feel this terrible. Maybe just need my body to get used to it. Don't know, I may have triggered this by poor eating after the injection."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro on July 19th, 2024. I started the medication because I was pre-diabetic, my A1C was high, and if I could lose a few pounds, it would be a plus. In my first week, I had the following side effects: nausea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, and some fatigue. I went to my doctor for a follow-up and had lost 5 pounds in my first two weeks. This was good, and I loved the weight loss. My A1C was 5.5, wonderful. Yet, I talked to my doctor about the fatigue. It had worsened to the point where my body didn't want to go up and down stairs. He suggested it was my sleep, however, my sleep habits hadn't changed. I'm planning to take Mounjaro 2.5 to see if the side effects lessen. Updates to come."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Brain fog, nausea, diarrhea, insomnia. Took 2.5 mg for 1 year, had problems with Kroger accepting savings card, so stopped. Really like having my brain back at full power... lost a lot of executive function while on Mounjaro. Have been off for a month. Blood sugar levels increasing, but not enough to put up with side effects. Appetite decreased after stopping (opposite of advertised effect)."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "After starting at 2.5 mg weekly dose, the weight has steadily been coming off by, on average, 1 kg per week. In addition, there has been an improvement in BMI. After increasing the dose to 5 mg weekly, weight loss has continued. Appetite has reduced substantially due to a feeling of fullness that is greatest after dosing and eases off towards day 5 and 6. Often I don't even eat three meals a day. On day 2 after dosing, I sometimes require Vomigard to ease the 'fullness.' This medication helps with stomach emptying and nausea. Side effects are minimal as the desired effect is reduced appetite and subsequent weight loss. Constipation is an annoying side effect but can be addressed by taking extra fiber, e.g., psyllium husks. Weight loss appears to be stabilizing, so maybe I need to increase my dose."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Side effects include loss of appetite (YAY) and some abdominal cramping. This is my third month on this medication, each month at a higher dose. Glucose readings have been very low. Have not yet had an A1C since beginning medication. Only slight weight loss so far. The medication is extremely expensive."

"Does work to lower blood sugar/A1C. Also works to lose weight. Over long-term use, it seems to allow for slight weight increase. Side effects include loss of appetite, fatigue, burps, stomach pain, nausea, and gastroparesis. After about two months of use, I developed an extreme sensitivity to touch. My skin became very painful all over, feeling like a mild sunburn with a horrible sensation of severe chills all the time. I am trying to tolerate the chills, but it is very severe."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I used this for the first month at 2.5mg and did fine. Didn't really notice too much change and minimal impact on my sugar numbers. After 1 month, my doctor increased the dosage to 10mg. From that point, day 1 after my shot, I experience complete loss of appetite, chills, gastric pain. Days 2-4, I just had the loss of appetite and gastric pain, soft stools. Day 5 after my shot, loss of appetite, pain & diarrhea. The 6th day, some appetite back, less pain, no BM at all. Day of next injection was good, was able to eat more, no pain, normal BM. Day after 2nd shot at 10mg, is repeating again. I was losing some weight at the lower dosage but the sugar numbers weren't that much improved. On the higher dosage, I'm no longer losing weight but my sugars are more in line and coming down."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "It's helping lower my A1C, it's also helping me manage my weight. The side effects that I'm experiencing are loss of appetite, I can't eat a lot of portions of food, mild cramping of the stomach, and I'm not sure if coughing is caused by this medication too. Because I have a mild cough with chest tightness from wanting to cough, mild dizziness at times."

I was afraid to start the next box I had received. I am so weak I can barely walk. I do use a rollator to help me walk, but in the house I can hold onto furniture to help my balance."
