For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Female, 52 years, beginning weight 177 lbs, 5'7. I took my fourth injection of 2.5 mg this morning. I've been eating about 500 calories/day. The first week I lost 2 lbs and I walked 3 miles 2 days and lifted weights 1 day. The second week back to 177 lbs, including 2 days in the gym. In the third week, I traveled and did not exercise or weigh myself. I ate out for Mother's Day and for a friend's baby shower. When I returned, I was 175 lbs. In 3 weeks, I've lost a total of 4 lbs. Side effects for me have been a little more tired-duh-less energy going in. This doesn't seem worth the cost. We meet with the doctor tomorrow about upping it to 5 mg. My husband has been diligent about walking 5-7 miles per day also on 2.5 mg, 500 calories/day, and has lost about 8 lbs. (He has more to lose than me). His side effects were little nausea the first week, a slight decrease in focus and energy, some mild headaches, and diarrhea. Says pooping is faster."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Unsure if the dose is too large. Severe decrease in appetite. Concurrent weight loss - 23 lbs so far. Weak. Tired all the time. Blood sugar in really good control, except for needing antibiotics to fight a severe cold and then flu. That has caused blood sugars in the 250 to 315 range. Strange lack of energy. Am on a 15 mg dose currently. Too much?"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I began with a low dose of Mounjaro and, after two doses, began experiencing extreme tiredness to the point of not being able to function. Nausea was off the chart, so I've decided not to use it anymore. Struggling with my weight gain and nutrition is a welcome battle compared to suffering the side effects of this medication."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I just started my second month on Mounjaro. My blood sugar is very steadily normal. I have lost five pounds. I’m a bit more tired, which I think may be a side effect. Otherwise, all is fine. I love the easy applicators for administering the Mounjaro."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been using Mounjaro for a year now. First time I had negative effects, nausea, constant vomiting, and tiredness. My body got used to it, and ever since, my blood sugar has been in check. I really advise anyone who is diabetic."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Amazing reduction in appetite, and I lost 16 pounds without a struggle. I still get hungry but feel satisfied with much less, and also get more satiety from foods with higher fat content instead of an appetite boost. As another plus, I don't necessarily get a migraine if I am late for or miss a meal anymore. I have heard people concerned that it could somehow take away enjoyment of eating, but that has not happened to me at all. I am going to have to combine it with a lower-fat diet to get healthier lipids and lose more weight, but it's been a very helpful and hopeful experience so far. I've always felt I could be closer to a normal weight if my appetite and satiety mechanism wasn't out of whack, and it's nice to have that confirmed. My only concern is whether I am more tired or a little weaker; other side effects are all manageable."

"I have been on the medication for about 2 months now, and the weight loss has been amazing, but unfortunately, I feel sick and drained all of the time. I am 37 years old, and nothing was working to help me budge the pounds, so I feel like it’s worth a tad of misery. I have come to the conclusion that the nausea and tiredness are probably not going to get better, so I want to hit my goal weight and taper off. It has been worth it to me. I am down 16 lbs in 2 months."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Mounjaro truly was the miracle drug I’d waited for my entire life. Yo-yo dieting for 45 years. Mounjaro took away cravings, and made me feel full, and honestly not that interested in eating until I was truly hungry. I’m at my high school weight and loving it. Hoping I can maintain or get prescribed a maintenance dose. No major side effects except a little tired the first month. Easy to administer. I highly recommend it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Had to stop taking after 7 weeks of use. Total loss of appetite, very weak. When I try to eat, cannot do it due to gagging. The smell of foods upsets my stomach. Getting scary now, haven't used Mounjaro for 2 1/2 weeks and no improvement. No energy at all, hard to function."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes. I am in my 7th week, and the med is doing well. I passed a few days with abdominal difficulties and tiredness when I started, but all is well now at present. The dosage needs to be increased as my sugar levels are not all the way down. I soon get my A1C checked. Prayers it's lowered. So, I feel this med, Mounjaro, is a good med for type 2 diabetes. I have had a decrease in my appetite. By the last 3 to 4 days in the week past shot, I am getting hungry again. Thanks, Mounjaro."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am nearing the end of my 3rd week with Mounjaro 2.5 mg. The side effects in the first week were awful: heartburn, sulfur burps, nausea, and slight headache. These side effects lessened by the 5th day. The second week was a little better. The side effects were somewhat better and only lasted for 4-5 days. Fatigue crept in the second week. Now I am on Day 5 of my third week. The main side effects now are acid reflux, slight nausea, and extreme weakness and tiredness. My appetite is really suppressed on Mounjaro. I don’t get hungry at all. So far I have lost 13 lbs in 19 days. The weight loss is great, but the fatigue and weakness are really bad. I am a 63 y/o male, type 2 diabetic for 25 years, currently 252 lbs. This medicine is not for everyone, and I don’t think I will be taking another Mounjaro injection."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I occasionally experience nausea, but my main concern is constipation. On the day of my injection, I sometimes feel tired, and I also develop a rash around the injection site for approximately three days until the irritation subsides. However, apart from these issues, the medication works wonders in controlling my A1C and blood sugar levels. Additionally, the drug aids in weight loss, which is a welcome bonus. I believe it also provides me with some energy, as I have been able to maintain a regular exercise routine."

For Type 2 Diabetes "It worked pretty well for about three months. Blood sugar was under control, and I was losing weight for the first time in a few years. Then in month four, my heart started beating fast, I was tired all the time, and most upsetting were the suicidal thoughts and low mood. Stopping this medication and going back to previous medications stopped these side effects."
