For Insomnia "30 mg pill at bedtime. Worked very well to help me sleep with my chronic insomnia. After 3 months, it became less effective, and now at 4 months, it’s almost not worth taking. I see my Dr in early January to discuss next steps."

For Insomnia "My doctor gave me the 15 mg to try over this past weekend. I have lots of pain, and it keeps me awake. 15 mg really didn't help me fall asleep, but I took the 2 other pills that I was trying to get away from about 3 AM, then I slept until 11 AM. This happened 2 days in a row. 3 nights I took two 15 mg pills, and it still took forever to get to sleep, but I did get there, and was up at 8 AM. I'm going to take them early tonight, and see how it goes. I only had 10 to try. Maybe like some reviews I read, I need a kicker of some kind."

For Insomnia "I started taking this nightly about 5 years ago, and I have to say I am surprised at all the positive reviews of this medication. Yes, it did help my insomnia greatly, but I feel that recently I have developed a tolerance to it and want to get off of it permanently, but am having a really hard time doing it. The sleep deprivation has been really rough. I have lost my ability to fall and stay asleep naturally, and I blame it on this medication, perhaps that's not fair, I know. My doctor doesn't seem concerned at all about my dependence, and I find very little information about withdrawing from this medication on the benzo bulletin boards. It almost seems like it's not taken seriously enough, that it's a 'mild' sleep aid and that I shouldn't be too worried about trying to get off of it. My doctor doesn't seem to think it's a big step to switch from 30 mg, my usual dose, down to the next dosage of 22.5, but it's really, really HARD. I don't want to take this anymore!!"

For Insomnia "My family physician of 30+ years retired. He was replaced by a much younger DO who refuses to prescribe Restoril. He says it is because I have taken it too long. I haven't had a good night's sleep in about four months."

For Insomnia "I’ve struggled with sleep for as long as I can remember, sometimes not too bad, and sometimes very bad. I was extremely hesitant about taking this because I’ve never taken any kind of benzodiazepine before, and I was well aware that they are a very dark and destructive drug. After exhausting every option, including CBT, I finally gave up and got some 15 mg pills. The first night I took 1 as directed, and nothing. The second night I took 2, and nothing. The third night I took 3 and noticed that it did calm my mind a bit (maybe 50%), which felt amazing since I have 5 different thoughts consisting of 5 different emotions flowing through my head at all times, 24/7. It didn’t help me sleep because I woke up 2 hours after falling asleep, right to the same old racing thoughts that keep me up at night. I threw the rest away after my little experiment since I have no interest in taking 45+ mg every night and then taking more every time I wake up throughout the night. Absolutely not."
