For Insomnia "I have taken 30mg for several years now. Worked well at first. Slept well with only slight sleepy 'hangover'. As time went by, less and less effective. Before bed, I currently take 30mg of Restoril, an antidepressant that is supposed to make me tired (Lamictal), 0.5mg of clonazepam or 5mg of Valium, and 2 Benadryl, and I still lay in bed awake for 2 to 4 hours before falling asleep. Sometimes I have to call in sick to work because it is 4 am and I haven't fallen asleep yet and know I can't get up in 2 hours and function for work. Restoril is great for about a year but I would plan on switching to something else after that!"

For Insomnia "I have had what some might consider “severe” sleep issues most of my life. Like, days without sleep, and when I do sleep it’s typically no more than a couple of hours. I have been through a whole slew of medication over the last 6 years or so to try and find the happy medium of getting sleep and not having to suffer the morning after “hangover.” For the last year and a half or so, I have taken Temazepam in combination with Seroquel and Hydroxyzine, and it has worked amazingly. I recommend giving it a shot."

For Insomnia "Slept really well. Didn't wake up once. Usually get up about four times to go to the bathroom and get comfortable. First time using it was last night. Had a hangover and had to sleep more. Will try again tonight. Usually takes me two hours to go to sleep, but not last night... thank goodness."

For Insomnia "Works well, but leaves a bit of a 'hangover.' Ambien is better, however, I rearranged my furniture one night and have no memory of it. So it's safe to say I quit taking Ambien after that incident and changed to Restoril."

For Insomnia "I have been taking Restoril for about a year, and I'm taking 2 30 mg at night, and it did work for the first 5 years, but after trying everything else, I can't complain. I have a very hard time staying asleep, so for me, I don't mind the 'hangover' feeling when I wake up because sometimes that allows me to go back to sleep. So, in short - nice medication."

"I work nights and sleep during the day, going on 9 years, and have never been able to get comfortable trying to sleep during the day. I averaged 4, maybe 5 hours of broken sleep and felt exhausted all the time. The doctor started me on Ambien, it worked, but I would wake up and still feel the effects. So, the doctor changed me to 30 mg Restoril. What a Godsend! It only takes about 20-30 minutes to work for me. I sleep for 6-8 hours and wake up feeling refreshed and without any 'hungover' feeling. If you're having trouble sleeping, it's worth a shot. I never thought I would be able to sleep normally again, I've been sleeping well for 2 years now."
