For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have only been on the shot for a week now at the beginning dose, and I definitely see a difference. I have lost almost 10 lbs in the week, haven't really experienced any side effects. I can tell that my appetite has decreased tremendously and I get full quickly and remain full for a while, which forces me to not overdo it when it comes to eating. I am anxious to see what the next few months bring as the doses increase as well. Overall, I am happy to be taking Wegovy and this definitely beats going to the extreme and getting the surgery for weight loss. I chickened out of the surgery at the very last minute due to my fear of complications. Luckily, I was told about Wegovy and insurance covered it as well!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I gained 70 pounds during the pandemic. December 2019, I was 138 pounds standing at 5'3. Then in January 2021, I was 209. I started having back pain and foot pain from the weight. I tried dieting, but I am a single mom that doesn't have time to cook healthy every night, and I work around food, so I told my doctor he has to prescribe me something to lose weight. He saw it was taking a toll on my health as well, so he started me on .25 Wegovy injections. I lost 13 pounds my first month. I had nausea once or twice, nothing I couldn't handle, and I vomited only once. I even had more energy. Then he prescribed me the .5 the next month, but pharmacies all in a 30-mile radius were on backorder for the entire summer with no hopes of getting it in until the end of September. I kept being persistent with the pharmacist, and she said, have your doctor call me, he can up your milligram, and we can get that dose in 2 days, so at this point, I was desperate and starting to gain back the 13 pounds I lost. So I was upped to 1.7. OMG"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm a 59 6'1" year old female weighing 258 pounds when I started taking Wegovy one week ago. I had no major side effects. Just a slight problem with constipation but Miralax helped. I did feel a little more tired in the evenings. My appetite has definitely decreased. I took my second shot this morning. As of the first week, I've lost 6.1 pounds. My goal is to lose at least 30 pounds. It was difficult to get approval from my health insurance, but after several appeals, I finally received approval for 6 months. My out-of-pocket cost is $25."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have just started my 1mg dose. I am on week 8 as I did mess up a shot on my 0.5 weeks. So far, I have had ZERO negative symptoms aside from constipation. I have noticed that in my first week on a new dose, I would lose a lot of weight and then kind of just stay for the remaining doses. I have not changed my diet on purpose but have stopped overeating dramatically. I started at 247 lbs and am down to 230 lbs."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on week 2, getting ready for the 3rd shot tomorrow. I must be an odd duck because the shot gives me energy and controls my appetite. It also cleared my head, I have no brain fog suddenly. I have had no nausea or constipation yet. Last night, we made hamburgers and I think I overate because I woke up about half an hour after I went to bed, totally nauseous and threw up dinner. I went right back to bed and back to sleep and felt great in the morning. After reading other people's reviews, I think they are right - you need to portion control your food and be totally cognizant to recognize when you're full and not overeat just because it tastes good. That is what has gotten me to this place I am in right now, being overweight. I have lost 5 lbs so far and need to lose around 115 more. Here's hoping Wegovy can take me to the finish line in weight loss."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Good success in the first month at 0.25. 78 years old, male, good health. Started at 248 and now I'm at 228 exactly four weeks later. Coupled with a one-hour intensive hike every day, as well as a draconian (unsustainable) diet. I do this combo every few years and can generally bring my weight down to 210 with great effort. I'm hoping that with Wegovy I can keep the weight off. I'm a foodie who bakes, and I love SUGAR! So, a lot of this early weight loss was easy because I just eliminated all sweets. No more of my precious Mexican coke in ice-cold bottles, NYT cheesecake, home-baked cookies, and croissants!! Just water to drink (lots!) and two small meals a day. Nuts and a teaspoon of peanut butter to curb food desires. Again, not sustainable unless I can get to a Wegovy level which dampens my desire. No significant side effects so far, but I'm moving to 0.5 today. My GERD is gone, my knees feel better, and sleep apnea reduced."

The nausea is horrible, but I have to lose the weight for health reasons. I'm 5'1" and over 300 lbs with bad asthma and CHF. Wegovy has helped me tremendously. I give it a 10."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Day 3 on the lowest dose of Wegovy. I feel like my pain medication, hydrocodone, and ADHD medication, Adderall, are hardly working. I feel like I need to double my other medications because of this. Obviously, I’m not because they are both serious medications that I’ve been taking for a couple of years now. Cannot find any information on this issue anywhere."

My kids keep me awake and busy. I lost 3 pounds in the first week and nothing in the second week. I just took my 3rd dose today and hoping to lose another 3+ pounds this week."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy is one of the best things that happened to me in the past 18 weeks. I was 254 lb. Started around February 16 on 0.25 mg for 12 weeks. In the first 2 weeks, I lost about 5 pounds. Then I got into remission for 3 weeks. Wegovy also helped me keep up with intermittent fasting, which I do 18 hours food-free and then one meal a day. Around the 4th week, I also started going to the gym (1.5 hours walk 2.8 mph incline 8), but still in remission. After the remission finished, then the results came. I was dropping 10 pounds per week. No alcohol too. No side effects! After 12 weeks, the doctor put me on 1 mg as there already was a shortage. So for 4 weeks, I went into remission because I broke my intermittent fast and had some alcohol. Dropped some pounds, but not much because of remission. No side effects! Anyway, now remission is over, so now in the past 2 weeks I am on 1.75 mg because of shortages of 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 0.75 mg, and 1 mg. Still no side effects! I have dropped this week 5 lbs alone. From 254 lb, now I am 216.6 lb. Amazing!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy now for 4 months and have lost 26 pounds. I am currently on the 1.7 mg, and I have had no nasty side effects. I have had more heartburn than I used to, and occasional stomach upset, but nothing that would make me stop taking the meds. It has been a slow loss, but it is a loss, and I am very happy. I would love to lose 75-100 pounds, and hopefully this will continue to work, and I will meet my goal. My start weight was 250 lbs, I am now at 224 lbs. My glucose levels have decreased, and my A1C has also lowered. I have not been adding exercise, I feel if I started walking, the weight would come off faster. My overall experience has been very satisfactory."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "5'8" F started at 241 lbs. The doctor had me on phentermine (half dose) while waiting for Wegovy to go through insurance prior to authorization. Went down to 219 lbs on the phentermine in 11 weeks, then discontinued that to start Wegovy 0.25 mg. I just took my second injection, so I can describe my first week and shot experience. I had a mild headache for the first 24 hours after my first injection. Not bad enough to need an aspirin or anything, and I think I was overanalyzing my body looking for side effects. After the first injection, I thought I had a metallic taste in my mouth, and now that I just took a second, I can confirm it. Lasted for 12 hours the first time. I also am one of the rare people that taste metal after vaccines if that matters. I was extremely worried about the injection process itself. I'm glad I watched some YouTube videos and knew what to do. It was easy, and I didn't feel the needle. No cravings - I just have to space out my meals, or my stomach feels uncomfortable. Down another 3 lbs. Go Wegovy Wednesdays!"

It took a few days for the nausea to go away, but it did as my body got acclimated to the medicine. It has curbed my appetite, and I’m eating healthier. I’ve lost almost 19 lbs, my A1C is lower, and I feel better daily. Now, I have to stop it because so many people are on it, it’s backordered for months. I guess they weren’t prepared for how popular it would be."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started on 03/27/23 - 50/F, 5’6”, 238 lbs. On 0.25 mg, I lost 6 lbs, on 0.50 mg, I lost 10 lbs. Currently, I am on my third dosage of 1.0 mg and have lost 6 lbs. Works great, given, and is so easy to inject. This is just what I needed to boost my weight loss after gaining weight after MVA! Some SEs. No issues with 0.25 mg and slight nausea with the first dosage of 0.50 mg, but only lasted the first night. Also, after 6 months of no cycle, I got it when I started the first dosage of 0.50 mg and 1.0 mg with painful cramps, but only lasted two days. Obviously, eating less because I have a minimal desire to eat, but I am making better choices when eating (lots of protein). Also, walking more within my physical limitations. Very grateful for this medication and insurance coverage! So far, so great!!!"

Only side effects are occasional loose bowel movements, and I struggle to sleep well the night after a shot. I'm having some weird dreams. With that being said, this stuff is working! I can't eat what I would have considered a full meal 5 weeks ago. I eat maybe a fist size of food and feel very full. Can't even eat a whole bowl of soup. Weighed myself after the first 4 weeks and I had lost 8 lbs. I don't feel nearly as bloated as I used to constantly feel from overeating. I hope my insurance will cover this for as long as possible!"

The side effects I have had are slight abdominal pain, acid reflux, nausea, and tiredness. I am 5’8 and was 244.5 lbs. To date, I am now 239 lbs - I’ve lost 6 lbs since 5-21-23. I weigh in every Sunday to stay on track of my weight and what it is. I take my injections on Wednesdays and have noticed that my appetite starts to return on Tuesdays, so taking it every week on schedule is important. My weight loss is very gradual (1-2 lbs per week). I'm not on a restrictive diet; I eat what I want; I just want to eat less now."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started approx. 3/29 and will begin my third step up to 1 mg this week. I have lost 23 lbs in 8 weeks. Very happy about that. My appetite is reduced. I can sometimes skip dinner because, after a light lunch and breakfast, I am not hungry. I have experienced fatigue, nausea, and constipation. However, if I eat something like an apple with peanut butter, that helps with the constipation. So far, these side effects are not bad enough for me to discontinue. I would like to feel better, but I am hoping it will improve. Fatigue is the worst for me because I also have another autoimmune disease that causes extreme tiredness. I am taking a multivitamin and see my doctor in a week, and I will discuss negative side effects. Right now, the benefits of losing weight are worth it."
