For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started out with .25mg. I did that for four weeks and only felt slight nausea after the injection. Today, I bumped up to the .50mg dose and within five hours I was nauseous. I finally vomited and I feel better, but have no appetite now. Nothing sounds good. I’m also sleepy. So far, the weight loss is only about five pounds. If I stay nauseated, it’ll probably increase drastically, but what a dumb way to live! I hope it’s temporary. I could be sick once a week and survive, if I get done decent weight loss. I am also fairly active and I exercise 4-5 times a week. I don’t have a thyroid bc of cancer 9 years ago."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Began Wegovy three weeks ago -- have lost 11 pounds so far. Ready to move up to the .5 mg dose. Side effects have been minimal -- some tiredness and a bit of constipation, but nothing awful. The key is to listen to your body. If you feel full, then stop eating. That's Wegovy doing its job. Don't ignore it. Good luck to all."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on week 2, getting ready for the 3rd shot tomorrow. I must be an odd duck because the shot gives me energy and controls my appetite. It also cleared my head; I have no brain fog suddenly. I have had no nausea or constipation yet. Last night, we made hamburgers and I think I overate because I woke up about half an hour after I went to bed, totally nauseous and threw up dinner. I went right back to bed and back to sleep and felt great in the morning. After reading other people's reviews, I think they are right - you need to portion control your food and be totally cognizant to recognize when you're full and not overeat just because it tastes good. That is what has gotten me to this place I am in right now, being overweight. I have lost 5 lbs so far and need to lose around 115 more. Here's hoping Wegovy can take me to the finish line in weight loss."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I had been on this drug for 4 months. Typical escalation dose until month 4 I stayed on the 1mg. The side effects were rough since increasing to 1mg. So much nausea, worsened reflux, constipation, bloating, burping, and indigestion. I vomited once but there were a few times I almost did. In the last few weeks, I noticed hair loss. Noticed skin tags that I have never had...like 3 grow since the med. Weird. Oh, and I had serious issues with certain smells. I had to change out the hand soaps in my house 5 times. If I smell rubbing alcohol I am instantly nauseous. Just looking at the wegovy box before injecting would make me dizzy and nauseous. So weird. Difficult to eat healthy on this med due to side effects and only able to tolerate simple carbs, low-fat diet. Also hard to work out when feeling so nauseous...so didn't think it was contributing to my health. Has not really contributed to weight loss and appetite is almost the same as before med."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, sulfer burps, fatigue, loss of appetite, super sensitive to smells, I have to make myself eat enough. It's like morning sickness only it's 24/7. Zofran helps for about 6 hours. Cannot tolerate much besides chicken broth and Brussels sprouts. No fried, fatty, oily, spicy foods. Need to stay hydrated with water. Ginger ale helps. I'm up to 1mg dose and 14th week. This nausea is constant and impacts my daily routine significantly. However it is the only effective weight loss option that's worked. In 26 years of diets and exercise and eating healthy. I will not give up. The weight is killing me and I needed this medication. I started at 221lbs. and now I'm at 194.3 lbs. BMI is close to pre-obesity and I know I'll cry the day I hit it. Full disclosure, I'm disabled in part due to my weight. There is no way I could have worked and taken Wegovy with the severity of my nausea and fatigue. But the mobility and breathing issues are improving."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my first week of the 2.4 dose (so I am just starting month 5.) My weight loss seems a bit slower than others (story of my life) BUT I am still losing! I’ve lost 26 pounds in 5 months with making few modifications to my diet. I eat similarly to how I did before, but my portions are much smaller. I have experienced some side effects, but everyone’s experience is different. I can usually combat the upset stomach and gas with gas-x and pepto. I have experienced constipation, but that’s honestly something I’ve battled all of my adult life. Miralax in my morning tea or coffee certainly helps with that. Bottom line for me is this… the occasional side effects are 100% worth the results I’m seeing!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Good success in the first month at 0.25. 78 years old, male, good health. Started at 248 and now I'm at 228 exactly four weeks later. Coupled with a one-hour intensive hike every day, as well as a draconian (unsustainable) diet. I do this combo every few years and can generally bring my weight down to 210 with great effort. I'm hoping that with Wegovy I can keep the weight off. I'm a foodie who bakes, and I love SUGAR! So, a lot of this early weight loss was easy because I just eliminated all sweets. No more of my precious Mexican coke in ice-cold bottles, NYT cheesecake, home-baked cookies, and croissants!! Just water to drink (lots!) and two small meals a day. Nuts and a teaspoon of peanut butter to curb food desires. Again, not sustainable unless I can get to a Wegovy level which dampens my desire. No significant side effects so far, but I'm moving to 0.5 today. My GERD is gone, my knees feel better, and sleep apnea reduced."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy 11 weeks ago (just had my last dose of 1mg pen) and have lost 9 lbs. I felt at first it didn’t do much but gradually by upping the dose felt my cravings and want for fatty foods has hugely decreased. The “food noise” was very real to me, now I never finish a meal and just don’t have the interest in food like I previously did. It’s much more convenient being a weekly injection and as someone who hates needles, it really is nothing to worry about. In terms of side effects, from week two I have suffered from sulphur burps (disgusting eggy smell) and excessive gas/belching. The day after my injection, I feel fatigued, so changed my injection day so it landed on a weekend, so I wasn’t at work and this worked well. I only feel sick if I overeat and at the start had some cramps on and off which have totally disappeared now. One week off upping to 1.7mg and other than sulphur burps, it really is amazing; the key I believe is patience, the side effects are worth it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy since January 15, 2022. I have lost almost 40 lbs. When I first started, it was the usual nausea and heartburn that could always be fixed with a Pepcid AC. I have noticed now that I am past the 1.0 MG I have been getting dizzy when I stand up like I am about to pass out and having a reoccurring brain/vision fogginess off and on. About 9 months in, I started to have a tingling/numbness in my foot, face, and hand. Have any long term users experienced this? I am going to get off it and see if it clears up."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on 0.25 of Wegovy on 15th December 2023. I weighed 21 stone. I now weigh 18 stone 8lbs (26th February 2024). At the start, I felt nauseated constantly and after about 4 spoonfuls of food, I couldn't eat anymore. I find I no longer enjoy eating at all, and I have to force myself to eat most days. I also can't drink coffee anymore and have no interest in any drink apart from water. When I started 1ml, I was violently ill for the first 4 days and didn't want to continue with injections, but I did (since it's so pricey) and it did calm down. I should move to 1.7ml this week, but my pharmacy (Boots) has none, so I have to stay at 1ml for another month. I'm hoping to stay on Wegovy for another 3 months. I will update next month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First, I love Wegovy and have been on it for 2 years and lost 45 lbs with only minor constipation that 3 prunes in the morning manage. However, as a polyp former, I get a colonoscopy every 3 years. I was unable to cleanse my colon with 8.1 mg/64 oz (Gatorade) of Miralax and with 2 bisacodyl. I stopped taking Wegovy 12 days ago, but obviously that did not work. MDs that do colonoscopies need to be warned or advised to give new instructions for bowel cleansing when taking Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "No weight loss at all in 3 months. I’m at 1.5 dose now. I also have a sluggish thyroid so not sure. Feel an upset stomach, acid reflux and nausea. And very tired after the injection. Have lost about 3 lbs and gain it back by the next day. I eat low carb and usually I’m not hungry. I have no idea why I'm not losing any weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took my first 0.25 shot of Wegovy 4 days ago. Everything is going great so far. I experience a very small amount of nausea in the morning but it is completely manageable. I have noticed that I am more content throughout the day and my portion sizes have gone down. I have also had a lot more energy and don’t feel so tired all the time. I know that it is very early to really give a review for this medication so this is more directed to those individuals who are nervous or scared to start the medication. I was terrified after reading some of the “bad” reviews but I finally did it. I know we will all have different experiences but it was definitely worth trying in my opinion!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Avoid this injection. I took my first dose few weeks ago and I have never been so sick. Constant vomiting after 4 hours, throwing up bile. Ended up in hospital has I became dehydrated. Week later still got on and off vomiting. The reflux is terrible and can't eat anything. It's better to be yourself than go through all this"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took 0.25 dose the first month and lost 10 lbs. Mild symptoms of dizziness here and there. Then didn't take it for the next month because it was on back order. I'm on the 3rd injection of the 0.5 and have lost 9 more lbs. Side effects are a little more dizziness and very tired for a couple of days after the injection. I slept a lot and drank lots of water and chicken broth for these symptoms. Appetite is definitely curbed. I eat 2 meals and a protein smoothie. Low carb/high protein. I lift weights at the gym because you lose fat and muscle on this drug. That's why it's easy to gain weight back when you stop taking it. Drink lots of water all day. Because I'm losing good and the side effects are manageable, I'm going to stay on this 0.5 dose for now. I hope to lose a total of 70 lbs. My insurance covers it, so my copay is $25 a month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy definitely works if you can tolerate being nauseated all the time; it takes away cravings for everything, I had to force myself to eat. Fast forward 4 weeks on meds I ended up getting the sickest I have ever been in my life! Thought I had the stomach flu for 4 days but it just kept getting worse. Ended up in ER with an inflamed liver, kidneys, severe kidney infection, urinary tract infection and dehydrated. I would do anything to lose weight because I need a knee replacement and DR wants me to lose 30 pounds before he will operate. This scared me, BAD. I still don’t feel 100%. Anyway who doesn’t want to lose weight right? Wellllll After my experience this is just not worth it. BTW I have never had any issues with kidney, liver, etc. it was from this drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started wegovy April 2023. I'm at 1.0 mg now. I have lost 30lbs along with exercise and watching my calories (1200 a day). The nausea is horrible, but I have to lose the weight for health reasons. I'm 5'1 and over 300lbs with bad asthma and CHF. Wegovy has helped me tremendously. I give it a 10."

I have had bad headaches, constantly feel dizzy and off balance, brain fog, diarrhea, a little gassy, and generally feel not right. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Starting the 2.4 mg this Friday. I have lost 31 pounds in 4 months. I never thought I would make it to this point, but I seemed to tolerate all the doses up to this point. I am 29 pounds away from my goal of 150, but I will be okay with 160. It was hard to believe this medication is working for me with minimal side effects. I do occasionally get an upset stomach and diarrhea, but a little Pepto-Bismol takes the upset stomach away. I do feel full after eating half a meal and remain full for long periods of time. I am excited that my clothes feel really loose now and I can fit things that I couldn't before or was too tight. This medication has changed my outlook on healthier eating and keeping the weight off."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started with Ozempic .25 ml dosage and have ramped up to 1 ml. dosage over 3 months. They started me on Ozempic due to the shortage of Wegovy back then. Today I start Wegovy at 1.7 ML and I'm not even on the maximum dosage yet. I just got back from the doctor and I have lost 9.5 percent of my body weight, my blood pressure I way down, and my A1C level has gone from 7 to 5.8 in that time! One drawback is that I have had significant stomach issues with this drug that comes and goes. Forget about eating anything spicy or heavy at night and It does curb your appetite, big time. I probably eat half as much as I used to. Overall it is the best thing that has happed to me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On week 8 at 1.0, lost about 12 lbs so far, very happy, even though I do feel nauseous/gas/acid reflux the first 2-3 days after the shot. I’ll take the temporary nausea for the weight loss. For those that mentioned hair loss try taking Biotin, that has worked great for me before with hair and nails when nutrients are low due to less calories. Good luck everyone!!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I had to stop Wegovy after my 9th week. I have autoimmune and 2 days after I increased to the 1.0 dose, my right side was hurting so much. I went to the doc and had an ultrasound. My gallbladder is inflamed. I now need surgery and also my inflammation C Reactive protein count is normally at .5, it was 12 yesterday. It is supposed to stay under .5. Beware if you have any autoimmune issues because when I went up in dose it made my immune system go crazy. I’m praying this drug leaves my system quickly. Took it 3 months and only lost 2 pounds. Never again"
