For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy last month. Did all 4 doses of the 0.25 and took my first 0.50 yesterday. The first 0.25 injection I was vomiting and had a headache, but it only lasted one day. No other issues. As far as weight, I am 5'5'' and at my doctor's appointment I weighed my highest ever at 195 lbs! After the 4 doses of the 0.25, I am already down to 180 lbs! I am not exercising. Wegovy cut my appetite so much that I literally had to force myself to eat; I'm not complaining though! So now that I have started on the 0.50, I'm interested in seeing if I continue to drop. 15 lbs is a huge loss in one month on the 0.25 and I know it isn't typical, but it really has been a great experience for me. I will update next month after I take my last dose of the 0.50. I would definitely recommend Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started 3 weeks ago, and every Monday I inject myself with a 0.25 mg dose. I started this medication because at age 47, even though I tried so hard to exercise and diet, my weight was a roller coaster ride and I would bounce back to my heaviest weight. My weight when I started was 170 lbs, which was 3 weeks ago. After a week, I am down to 159 lbs, then the second week 157 lbs. I weighed myself yesterday and I am down to 155 lbs, that's 15 lbs less. The first week I had a little heartburn, and the second week I was a little dizzy because you can go a day without being hungry at all. By the end of the second week, I had no side effects at all. I am surprised that again I can go a day without being hungry at all, but of course, I force myself to eat something, even with food, I will eat but will be so full easily. I take protein shakes daily as my meal replacement. I'm taking fiber (gummies) so I can go to the bathroom with no problem, and it helps a lot. Overall, I am pretty happy with the result."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for almost 7 weeks and have lost over 22 lbs. From the moment I took the first injection, the food noise was gone. At times, it feels like progress is slow, but in truth, the progress has been steady. I have not started dieting or exercising, I am focusing on eating healthier and listening to my body for signs that I am full. I have heard of bad side effects, though I personally have not experienced any. Prior to this medication, I have lost, gained, and relost 50-100 lbs over and over again."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Wegovy for 7 weeks. Lost 14 pounds. 2nd week into 0.50 mg. It’s a little rough on my stomach. Taking prescription for nausea which happens the day of the injection. Feel tired and occasionally get severe abdominal pains. I can’t eat much and have to really watch the types of food. No greasy foods or spicy or heavy. The intestinal pains were very severe after eating wrong foods. I’m happy with the weight loss but the side effects are rough."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I tried everything, almost getting gastric sleeve surgery. Thanks to my cardiologist, even my heart is fine, he doesn't want to give me clearance for the operation. He recommended Wegovy. I think this is the best decision I ever made. I started on November 2nd, 2023, and until now, December 20th, I have lost an incredible 30 pounds. I now eat only two times a day. I used to eat lots of sweet stuff, but not anymore. No more late eating. I eat very small portions and I feel full all day. I love you, Wegovy, it's real. I am on a 1mg dosage. I was 331 pounds and now I am 301 pounds, with a goal to lose 40 more pounds by July. Good luck everyone, there's a chance because of Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Wegovy for half a week. For my first injection, I used the upper right side of my stomach. Within an hour, I had a bit of shooting pain in my left mid-back section. I was a bit concerned but didn't say anything to anyone about it as I figured it was just my body getting used to a new chemical. I'm now on day 3, and no pain anywhere, no nausea, and feeling pretty great. I am a little concerned about not understanding exactly what my caloric intake 'should' be but will discuss it with a dietitian. My dosage was the starter 0.25 mg, and my starting weight is 228 lbs. Let the journey begin! Already got past one of the biggest hurdles, namely doing the injections myself. The needle is super small, and didn't leave any marks or blood! Super fast, and recommend it to the 'needle-adverse' folks. I am very glad that it is only once a week though."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 3rd 0.25 dose of Wegovy. I feel terrible most of the time. I have lost 5 lbs and am definitely not hungry due to nausea. My prescriber will not prescribe Zofran with Wegovy because she feels nausea that severe should be considered a negative side effect and the medication stopped. That's reasonable. I read the reviews before I began the med and take Omeprazole daily, as well as Miralax. I am 57, menopausal, and used to feel really good most of the time. Sadly, this med is not worth the side effects for me. I really, really wanted to tough it out, but as a nurse, I feel it's creating problems that I did not have before taking this medication. The nausea is constant, the belching/burping is so frequent that it's embarrassing, stools are like a rock, and the worst feeling is chest tightness. I had so hoped I would be one of those without adverse side effects, but I am not."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took my first shot of 0.25 five days ago. I was extremely nervous about taking it due to all of the negative side effects that I read others have had. I decided to inject in my upper thigh late on a Friday afternoon so that if I did feel sick, I had the weekend to take it easy and deal with it. The injection was painless and very easy to administer myself. I honestly noticed no side effects after taking it, other than not thinking about food as much and wanting to eat a little less. I did push the boundaries on the third evening after taking it, and I did have bad nausea, I actually vomited and felt generally ill for about 16 hours (not bad enough to not work though). I pushed the boundaries by overeating air-fried chicken wings (no sauce) that were a bit more greasy/oily than normal. Those really set me off, and I realized that I: 1. can no longer eat any type of greasy food and 2. cannot eat too much. As long as I stick to my normal healthy, low-carb diet, I feel just fine (so far)."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for over a month now. It has been a life changer for me. Very few side effects. I have way more energy, I can fit into clothes that were so tight I couldn't wear them, and I have fewer aches and pains. My mindset is so different. I am 5'11'', started at 263 lbs. (obese). I have lost almost 15 lbs. This stuff pretty much keeps those hunger cravings away. I have changed my eating habits as well. I only eat fruits, veggies, and salads. I do plan on going back to some of my other favorites, but for now, I'm sticking to no pasta, pizza, bread, or desserts. I only eat between the hours of 6 am to 3 pm. I have been walking around a half mile per day on my lunch breaks. I do not eat much, it seems like I get full very quickly. Another benefit is that I have bitten my nails my entire life, and since starting Wegovy, I have not touched them. It's quite unbelievable."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Honestly, I have never been so sick in my life. 1st and only dose of Wegovy made me so incredibly sick. I have been in the hospital twice for excessive dry heaving. There is no stopping the symptoms. I had short-term relief with IV sedatives and anti-nausea medications. Still a week later, now at home throwing green bile. I will never recommend it to anyone."

I started with the 0.25 mg dose, and I am now on the 1 mg dose. I would recommend it to others who want to try it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm on 2.4 now. Started yesterday and still have pretty bad nausea. It's the worst it's been. Before, it was quite negligible or non-existent. So far, I've lost 21 lbs in 4 months. I was 216, now 195 and I am 5'4'. I still have a long way to go. I started working out and started a vegan diet in January to improve my cholesterol. I know it's tough. I have read so much about it and my expectations were high, like all I need to do is take this injection and the weight will fall off! This will fix all of my problems! I'll find true happiness! But...that's not the case for most people, including me. My provider said that some of her patients have seen no results. She said a 20 lb weight loss is right on track for me and more sustainable than the amazing results some are seeing (though everyone is different). Remember: we are more than our weight. And there is no one answer. If you are taking this and it's not working, it's not you."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "At this time, I’m on my 5th week of the maintenance dose. The only side effect I’ve had is occasional constipation, but as a 25-year medical professional, I know how to deal with it medically and in conjunction with my VA doctor and pharmacist. At times, I would get hypoglycemic, but again I knew how to combat that. At this dose, I find myself somewhat more fatigued but I can deal with that. Cat naps usually do the trick. I started at 393 and 6’3”. I’m 56 years old. I’m down to 349 since I started, which for me is great. I have critical low testosterone and can’t take testosterone due to my history of pulmonary embolisms. So, I don’t mind losing only 2 pounds a week. I can now walk so much better and farther. I’m 95% VA disability rated, and I’ll tell you, I feel and look so much better after starting to use Wegovy. The VA truly cares for us veterans no matter what you hear. Stay blessed and hang in there."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started 2/23/23. 0.25. 64 years old, H 5/6, W 217. The only side effect is dizziness when standing up, which subsides within a minute or two. That seems to be hypoglycemia. As of today, 2/26/23, it has definitely curbed my appetite. I will check back in a month to let you know my progress."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, so good! Only on the 3rd day on it, but I'm loving it. On .25 mg dose to start. I'm female, 5'4", 215 lbs, and I'm looking to drop about 40 lbs with it. Very mild stomach discomfort here and there, but it's barely noticeable the vast majority of the time. When I first injected, I felt that my heartbeat got quicker for a little bit, but it subsided in an hour or two. I don't crave junk food anymore. I feel like I'm always full, and I have an increased desire for whole foods. I'm not going to increase my dose until I feel the beneficial effects subsiding, I'm taking it very slow to avoid side effects. Will check back in after a month or two, I'm very optimistic!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It has been a year since I have been on Wegovy. I went up to 2.4 by August 1, 2023, and had lost 50 pounds in those six months. The last 6 months I have not lost any weight. I have not gained but definitely stalled for 6 months. I just went down to 1.7 last week to see if the high dose of 2.4 is the reason for the stall. Appetite suppression also stopped at 8 months. No clue what to do, but I will stay on 1.7 for a month to see if it changes the stall. Good luck, everyone! I have a whole new life after losing 50 pounds! Life is good!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started off taking Ozempic then switched over to Wegovy. I only experienced mild side effects such as nausea and headaches in the beginning of starting these meds. This medication worked for me and helped me lose over 60 lbs. In the past, I have tried numerous diets, supplements, bariatric surgery, and programs to help me lose weight and all failed. This is the only medication that truly worked for me and I'm so glad that I was able to tolerate it. Life-changing experience for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far so good. I'm only on week 2, but am down 10 pounds with a combination of exercise and a 1200 cal/day diet. The symptoms I've had so far are tiredness, constipation, and some hair falling out (Dr. will be checking my vitamin levels to make sure I don't need supplements with the new diet). It definitely curbs my appetite, which is huge with my diet essentially cut in half. I am looking forward to seeing sustained results."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for a year and 3 months and have lost 100 lbs. (started at 289 & 5'7"). I do deal with nausea, but it is controllable with Zofran so I keep that on me at all times. You are in control of how you feel by what you eat and the amount of water that you drink. Protein is key! I have dealt with a B12 deficiency since being on this med as well as hair loss. I deal with chronic pain so working out has never been easy for me. Wegovy has been a game changer and completely changed my life. I went from a 2X to a L in clothing and feel the best that I've ever felt despite the nausea."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I haven't experienced any side effects taking Wegovy. I can say I did start my whole journey with Ozempic in August 2023, right after my hysterectomy. Switching from Ozempic to Wegovy was a great move. I have had a wonderful experience being on it, my palpitations are really under control, my blood pressure is way down, and I even lost weight that I put on during menopause. I also have had high cholesterol (which is extremely high in our genes), and my last draw was good, even my A1c is down to a 4.6 from an average of always 5.3. I'm not constantly gulping water like a fish anymore and feel great, and I don't feel swollen like a balloon 24/7. My hot flashes went away along with the mood swings, and even my IBS has not been an issue. The only problems I have had is my insurance/pre-authorization to get coverage, so that's made it very hard to be on this because it has truly changed my whole life."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Let me first say that digestively, I have never been more miserable in my life than I was on this 'medication.' Wegovy gave me abdominal cramps so bad I had to go to the ER. I was very dehydrated and in so much pain. Luckily, my CT was normal, but my WBC was elevated. Maybe this is some other side effect that will start being reported more often now that half the population seems to be taking it. I started at 0.25 mg and did that weekly for 4 weeks. During that time, I was okay but constantly felt somewhat bloated and would burp way more than what would be considered normal. I am glad some people had success with this, but for me, my life was better before this medication. I'll take being 'overweight' and feeling great to this any day. I just hope there is no permanent damage. Thanks for the misery, Wegovy. Never again. Big Pharma can take their bogus, fabricated BMI and stick it. They want people to be miserable and addicted to whatever drug they cook up for their investors."

I would and have recommended this medication to my family and friends. I’m on the highest dose of 2.4. Taking injections is quick and easy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I lost 75 lbs on Wegovy. It wasn't worth it. People assume I have all this energy now. I feel like a shell of my former self. Run down, no appetite... and just got back from the hospital since I didn't have a bowel movement for almost 2 weeks once I was at the 2.4 dose. I can't recommend this drug. You will essentially give up your normal life to lose weight. To me, the benefits don't outweigh the risks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. The weight gain brought on joint pain, trouble breathing, sleep apnea, afib, raised blood pressure, and cholesterol. Hopefully in 6 months, I will be down 40-50 lbs."

I thought that would be impossible, but I am 10 lbs away from my goal, down 57 lbs and still counting. Very happy with Wegovy."
