For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm 60 years old, started taking Wegovy for weight loss, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. I’ve been on the medication now for 10 weeks. My starting weight was 296. Currently, I weigh 266, and my numbers are great. The cons are I only feel good 4 days a week. The first 3 days after the injection are tough: nausea, headaches. But as far as I’m concerned, it works great. I’m not hungry at all. I feel much better. Another added bonus for me was I was a heavy drinker. On this medication, I have no desire to drink at all. I went from 5 cases a week to absolutely nothing. I don’t miss it at all. Miracle drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy on the 1st of June 2023. My weight was 109.7 kg. I started losing 1-2 kg per week at the start. Afterwards, the loss was more between 0.2-0.7 kg. I did not attend the gym or do exercises last year. I have started going to the gym now. My weight now in August 2024 is 73 kg. I have not experienced any side effects besides constipation. The plan is that after the end of August, I will start going down on the dosage and will fully stop taking it at the end of this year. My doctor told me that some of her other patients who have fully stopped it have managed to keep their weight by regularly exercising and by continuing to eat healthy, not overeating."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy about 17 months ago. I really had no bad symptoms, however, due to availability, I had to stay on a few of the doses for a couple of months at a time. I am now at the highest dose, and this one and the one before did cause a little nausea, but it goes away. I started at 320 lbs, I am now down to 210 lbs. My goal was to lose half of me, so I'm still working on the last 50 lbs, averaging 2 to 5 lbs a month or so, sometimes more. So good luck to you all. I feel so much better now, I can breathe, I can walk, and do so many more things now. It truly changed my life."

"I started Wegovy 3 and a half months ago, and I have lost 21 pounds. I decided to try Wegovy after dealing with health issues such as obesity. I'm borderline diabetic, have arthritis in my hips, and the excessive weight made it hard to bear the extra weight that irritated the hip pain. I have a fatty liver, and by losing weight, I have improved the side effects. I have had no negative side effects from Wegovy. I started at .25 mg and was on the .25 mg for 8 weeks, then I moved up to .5 mg for an additional 8 weeks, and I expect that my doctor will increase my dosage on my next visit. Wegovy is the best thing I could have ever found. I tried relentless attempts to lose weight with diets and counting calories, but it seemed like I stayed hungry all the time, and my dieting attempts failed. With Wegovy, I find that it suppresses my hunger, and I am able to eat less and follow my diet. I would encourage others who are battling with weight as well as health issues to try it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have taken 1 dose of the 0.25 mg. Tomorrow I will be taking my 2nd dose. So it has been 6 days for me. I have already lost 4 lbs. I was very nauseated and had some heartburn the first 24 hours after I took the dose. It got better with Pepto-Bismol and Tums. I didn't really get sick after that day. I don't have an appetite at all. I eat enough to keep me healthy, no more. I have gotten mild nausea once when I ate some chocolate chip cookies, but no nausea with healthy foods like fruit and veggies. I haven't done much exercise either."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. The weight gain brought on joint pain, trouble breathing, sleep apnea, afib, raised blood pressure, and cholesterol. Hopefully in 6 months, I will be down 40-50 lbs."

I am drinking lots of water and high-protein foods and daily vitamins. I was moved from 0.25 to the 0.50 and today was my 1st injection of the higher dose. So far, still no ill effects. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy on May 11th at 0.25. I'm on my 4th injection of 0.5 and moving up to 1.0 next week. Started at 228 lbs. I'm down to 213. No side effects. I have to eat a small dinner and not too close to bedtime or I get heartburn. Slow and steady wins the race. Wegovy is the most effective appetite suppressant I have ever used, and best of all, no jitters or sleeplessness."

I was overweight and depressed for years after having my last child. The only side effect I have had is some occasional constipation. This medication is amazing!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm a male, 52, 5'7, 234 lbs, and 40-inch waist. I have been on Wegovy for 5 months now. It has been very easy to give myself the shot once a week, and I barely even feel it. I have dropped to 185 lbs, with a 32-inch waist. Started with 0.5 mg and now on 1.7 mg. I have no side effects except for some heartburn. From day one, my appetite has slowly gone down. I eat less than 1500 calories a day and exercise daily at the gym for 45 minutes. Wegovy is absolutely wonderful and has changed my life forever. Also, my A1C was always over 6.0, and now it's 5.3, still going down. I will stay on Wegovy for the rest of my life. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started the 0.25 on April 1 at 158 lbs. Moved up to the 0.5 after 4 weeks. Today is June 14th, and I am down to 141. Down 17 pounds in 8 weeks. Sometimes the days are rough, but the side effects occur depending on how poorly you eat. I'm going to stay on the 0.5 for another 4 weeks since I am having great success. I will up the dosage if I plateau."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Wegovy since April. I'm down 19 pounds. Very few side effects. My cravings for sweets have gone. I never think about food. It's like I forget to eat. Water is the key, I drink a lot of water. Smart water works the best for me. I have always struggled with weight loss. Wegovy is my go-to. It's a game changer and it really works. I have other health issues, and I hope in time Wegovy will help with them as well. Talk to your doctor, do the research. I did, and I'm glad I did. Now I just focus on eating healthy and much less. I'm a 60-year-old man, started at 293 lbs. Tuesday, before the shot, I weighed 283. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This is the first week at the 1mg dose, I lost 8 pounds last week. Before this, I was too scared to get on the scales, but I can feel I have lost significant weight. I have reduced appetite and cravings for sweet things that started almost immediately upon starting the drug. The only side effects I have had were, around week 3, constipation and trapped wind that caused waves of stomach pain for a few days. In the UK, you are supposed to be able to get this on the NHS if your BMI is over a certain level with associated health issues. However, no funding has been provided, so I am paying around £150-200 per month. This is offset by reduced food costs and alcohol costs that make it almost pay for itself."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Personally, I would recommend Wegovy to anyone struggling with weight loss. I'm 6 months in, a 41-year-old man. My starting weight was 14 stone 9.5 lb, and I'm currently 13 stone 2.5 lb. I'll start with the negatives: 1. Cost - this is very expensive, especially at the top dose, which is what you'll likely stay on for the longest. 2. Side effects - everyone is different, for me, it was indigestion and occasional nausea, but it's been perfectly manageable and worth it considering the benefits of the weight loss. The positives: I rarely feel hungry, I often have to force myself to eat. My portion sizes are much smaller, and I no longer go for sweet treats before bed. I haven't altered my diet at all, I still eat unhealthy food when I want, just less of it, and less frequently, so I don't struggle with cravings for foods that I'm not allowed."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy on 1/31/2023 at 224 lbs. As of today, 5/2/2024, I am at 154 lbs. I have had minimal side effects. I do not have cravings and no longer do I think about what I am going to eat next. I work out 3-4 days a week but did that prior to starting Wegovy. On 0.25, I lost 6 lbs. On 0.5, I lost 3 lbs. In the first 4 weeks of 1.0, I lost 6 lbs. In the second 4 weeks, I lost 3 lbs. In my first 4 weeks of 1.7, I lost 7 lbs and in my second 4 weeks, I lost 2 lbs. I started 2.4 on 7/17/2023, and on that, I have lost 39 lbs. Some weeks the weight loss was larger than others, but there was always weight loss. I have no complaints and would recommend anyone to speak to their doctor if they are interested. We are all different, and for some people, it works and for some, it does not. Some people have terrible side effects, and some don't."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy 11 weeks ago (just had my last dose of 1mg pen) and have lost 9 lbs. I felt at first it didn’t do much but gradually by upping the dose felt my cravings and want for fatty foods has hugely decreased. The “food noise” was very real to me, now I never finish a meal and just don’t have the interest in food like I previously did. It’s much more convenient being a weekly injection and as someone who hates needles, it really is nothing to worry about. In terms of side effects, from week two I have suffered from sulphur burps (disgusting eggy smell) and excessive gas/belching. The day after my injection, I feel fatigued, so changed my injection day so it landed on a weekend, so I wasn’t at work and this worked well. I only feel sick if I overeat and at the start had some cramps on and off which have totally disappeared now. One week off upping to 1.7mg and other than sulphur burps, it really is amazing, the key I believe is patience, the side effects are worth it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for about 8 months. My weight has dropped about 40 lbs. In the beginning, I did have upset stomach on occasion and found there are a few things I could not eat or drink anymore, but my blood pressure is a lot better. I feel good about myself. I don't need to lose any more weight. I am walking a mile a day, using my weights every morning, and I don't drink much alcohol anymore, not that I am saying I was an over drinker, but because of the calories and some of it doesn't taste good anymore. It has helped me eat better, rethink about how much I eat, and be healthier. My old clothes that didn't fit are now fitting, and I have a whole new wardrobe to go through."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy last month. Did all 4 doses of the 0.25 and took my first 0.50 yesterday. The first 0.25 injection I was vomiting and had a headache, but it only lasted one day. No other issues. As far as weight, I am 5'5'' and at my doctor's appointment I weighed my highest ever at 195 lbs! After the 4 doses of the 0.25, I am already down to 180 lbs! I am not exercising. Wegovy cut my appetite so much that I literally had to force myself to eat; I'm not complaining though! So now that I have started on the 0.50, I'm interested in seeing if I continue to drop. 15 lbs is a huge loss in one month on the 0.25 and I know it isn't typical, but it really has been a great experience for me. I will update next month after I take my last dose of the 0.50. I would definitely recommend Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took my first 0.25 shot of Wegovy 4 days ago. Everything is going great so far. I experience a very small amount of nausea in the morning but it is completely manageable. I have noticed that I am more content throughout the day and my portion sizes have gone down. I have also had a lot more energy and don’t feel so tired all the time. I know that it is very early to really give a review for this medication so this is more directed to those individuals who are nervous or scared to start the medication. I was terrified after reading some of the “bad” reviews but I finally did it. I know we will all have different experiences but it was definitely worth trying in my opinion!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a veteran and had to be put on by endocrine dr. in the weight loss clinic. My starting weight was 230 @ 5’1. I wasn’t a candidate for weight loss surgery due to clotting issues. I started on Saxenda and rapidly lost like 20 lbs., but gained it all back. That whole process was like 3-4 months. My endo expected and expects it with the Wegovy. Wegovy: starting weight 230 have been on for idk maybe 8 months. I’m 165. My goal is 140. I had a follow-up with endo today. He said I’ve lost more than any other of his patients on Wegovy and he’s had patients on it for 2+ years. I also haven’t done any exercise except walking my dog every day for 15-60 mins. Side effects? I already had gastroparesis. So I’m used to horrible nausea, but I have it still. Maybe be worse from it. Nothing else."
