For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on Wegovy 0.025 for only 2 weeks, and I’ve lost 7 lbs. I was 245, now I’m 238. This is a miracle drug. Only side effects are a metallic taste and heartburn. I’m not going to give up. I’ve been eating Healthy Choice TV dinners and loving the high protein and low-calorie meals. For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I haven't experienced any side effects taking Wegovy. I can say I did start my whole journey with Ozempic in August 2023, right after my hysterectomy. Switching from Ozempic to Wegovy was a great move. I have had a wonderful experience being on it, my palpitations are really under control, my blood pressure is way down, and I even lost weight that I put on during menopause. I also have had high cholesterol (which is extremely high in our genes), and my last draw was good, even my A1c is down to a 4.6 from an average of always 5.3. I'm not constantly gulping water like a fish anymore and feel great, and I don't feel swollen like a balloon 24/7. My hot flashes went away along with the mood swings, and even my IBS has not been an issue. The only problems I have had is my insurance/pre-authorization to get coverage, so that's made it very hard to be on this because it has truly changed my whole life."

It took some time, but I only developed heavy dandruff or mild psoriasis. After being off of Wegovy for several months, I only regained about 8-10 lbs. It has plateaued. Would I take it again? Absolutely!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 10 weeks and have lost 40 pounds. I’m on a 0.25 dose and haven’t had to go up yet. Losing 2-3 pounds per week. The only side effect is constipation and dry mouth right after the injection and only lasts for 10 minutes. No complaints. Love the product! My insurance refuses to cover it. The doctor filed appeals and they still refused to approve. Will continue to use it for a few months to get to my goal weight."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I wanted to lose about 45 pounds and asked my cardiologist to prescribe Wegovy because I have cardiovascular disease. I'm on a Medicare Advantage insurance, and the med was approved. I have been on it for 2.5 months and am down 25 pounds. I haven't had any noticeable side effects except insane constipation. I already had issues with that, so I take a Linzess every morning, and that does the trick. I started noticing the curbed appetite the day after my first dose. It's not as intense now, but I have zero food noise, and I just can't eat like I used to. I have had migraines for 35+ years, and I haven't had one since starting Wegovy. I don't think it's my weight loss or improved eating habits, I think it's the medication. Before I became disabled, I was a size 4 and ate very healthy, but had 12+ migraine days per month. I inject my dose in the stomach each week and have never had any reaction to the injection. Overall, I am thrilled with Wegovy so far."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was at my heaviest in July, recovering from knee surgery-recovering from major abdominal surgery before ever being placed on Wegovy. I suffered with several issues due to increased weight gain, all the typical-some depression, never being able to lose more than 8 lbs., and then giving up. It's a struggle, and it was real. Prediabetic, having beginning stages of heart issues, orthopedically, beginning to have major issues with my joints and body. So many issues due to the increased weight gain from medicines and lifestyle. It was taking its toll. I started Wegovy in July (end of the month) at 279.8 pounds, my heaviest, and getting heavier every day. Today, February 11th-Injection day-and I weigh myself and keep track weekly on my phone. I'm at 238.4 pounds. I'm down 41.4 pounds and so proud of myself and my accomplishments. I'm at 1.0 shot and feeling well. I'm happier than ever, and I'm not looking back. I'm wearing clothes I never thought I would wear again. Feeling fantastic. This is the best thing to happen to me!!!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "70 pounds down and maintained for over a year now. Wegovy in conjunction with a high-protein, low-carb food plan does it right. I am convinced that the majority of negative outcomes are due to people just shooting the drug and making no changes to their diet. Stay off the sugar, keep your carb intake to vegetables and limited fruits only. Constipation avoided by adding a magnesium citrate supplement. (I use Calm)."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The side effects have been mild to moderate, but tolerable. Weight loss has been dramatic, with a reduction in BMI from well over 30 to under 25. After over a year on the drug, I am still at 1 mg. Increases have so far been contraindicated."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It's been great-I'm 53 years old, and I've been taking it since August. I've lost 30 pounds with no side effects. I take a 0.5 mg shot once a week, and I feel better than I have since before my last pregnancy 13 years ago. I tried everything to lose weight, and it just wouldn't come off. I have a family history of heart disease that includes my father having his first heart attack at 36, resulting in open-heart surgery, and his death at 49 from another heart attack. When I was 50, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol, plus I weighed 230 pounds at 5'4" tall. I asked my doctor for a couple of years to prescribe a semaglutide, but because it was only really available for diabetics, she refused. When Wegovy was cleared for weight loss, she agreed to let me try it. It has been life-saving, I think."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just moved to 0.5 mg. No side effects, down 10 lbs. No longer have all the “food noise.” Eliminated all the snacking, and portion sizes naturally reduced during meal time as a result of the drug. Hearing some reviews where later doses caused more significant side effects, but so far, highly recommend."

I have titrated up accordingly, and to this date, I have currently lost 100 lbs with only diet modification due to mobility restrictions. I was borderline diabetic with high cholesterol before I started. As for side effects, I struggled with overwhelming nausea up to the 2.4 mg dose, and now I only have nausea the first day of the injection or if I eat something that doesn't agree with me or I eat one bite too much. Personally, I have found having this medication available to me extremely beneficial, as I gained 100+ lbs due to medical issues and mobility restrictions over a four-year period. I feel so much better, I look better, and my labs are WAY better. The injection is easy to use."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 74-year-old male who weighed 250 when I started Wegovy. I am now a week into the 2.4 mg dosage and down to 224 lbs. My appetite has declined, and I no longer crave food. I have only one side effect, and that has been constipation. It started the day I began the medication and still continues. I am taking milk of magnesia, and it helps, but still not regular as I would like. I strongly recommend this drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First off, BigMac was my nickname in high school, not the burger. In July, my doctor put me on Wegovy .25 dose for obesity and diabetes. Each month, he has increased my dosage, I just finished my first month of 2.4mg dosage. Started at 369lbs, this morning 297 lbs (72 lbs lost), my clothes are ones I grew out of a couple of years ago. My A1C is below pre-diabetes levels, and my blood pressure is lower than it was when I was 20. I have gone over a week now with no events on my CPAP machine. I sleep better at night, I have more energy during the day. Twenty-two more pounds, my doctor says I will be able to have my knee replacement done. It has greatly changed my life, I am currently 63 years old and feel like I have a new lease on my life."

It's very frustrating. You would think they could supply CVS with their product. I have even called the company that makes it and being told it is NOT on back order, they told me CVS is not ordering it. I don't know, but I am very frustrated about it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First day of injection, Aug 19th, 2024 SW - 236 pounds. November 22nd, 2024 last injection to date CW - 217 currently on 1.0 mg dose. Have not done anything extraordinary, try to make healthy choices and drink lots of water. Sometimes go for walks. Will continue to use this until I've reached ideal numbers. I like it, no problems so far. Just need to pay attention to hydration and nutrition. Sometimes experience nausea, drink water, take a Gravol. Also take a multivitamin but don't combine too many things unless you speak with a doctor. I'll post an update after Christmas."
