For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have taken 1 dose of the 0.25 mg. Tomorrow I will be taking my 2nd dose. So it has been 6 days for me. I have already lost 4 lbs. I was very nauseated and had some heartburn the first 24 hours after I took the dose. It got better with Pepto-Bismol and Tums. I didn't really get sick after that day. I don't have an appetite at all. I eat enough to keep me healthy, no more. I have gotten mild nausea once when I ate some chocolate chip cookies, but no nausea with healthy foods like fruit and veggies. I haven't done much exercise either."

I have titrated up accordingly, and to this date, I have currently lost 100 lbs with only diet modification due to mobility restrictions. I was borderline diabetic with high cholesterol before I started. As for side effects, I struggled with overwhelming nausea up to the 2.4 mg dose, and now I only have nausea the first day of the injection or if I eat something that doesn't agree with me or I eat one bite too much. Personally, I have found having this medication available to me extremely beneficial, as I gained 100+ lbs due to medical issues and mobility restrictions over a four-year period. I feel so much better, I look better, and my labs are WAY better. The injection is easy to use."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I sat out on a journey to lose weight in January 2023. I am a heart patient, and I was weighing 220 lbs for the first time in my life. I started in the beginning, I had lots of nausea and vomiting as I went through the different doses. It wasn’t until I got to the highest dose that I really saw the change in my body weight. The weight just slid off. I lost a total of 100 lbs. I definitely changed my diet: high protein, grilled veggies, and fruit. I will say it changed my taste buds. Salty things were overwhelming to me while on Wegovy, and so was sugar. I can’t eat cheese at all without getting sick. But I feel better. My heart is doing well, and my lipids are finally in the normal range. This medication helped save my life, and I feel so blessed. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On week 8 at 1.0, lost about 12 lbs so far, very happy, even though I do feel nauseous, gas, acid reflux the first 2-3 days after the shot. I’ll take the temporary nausea for the weight loss. For those that mentioned hair loss, try taking Biotin. That has worked great for me before with hair and nails when nutrients are low due to fewer calories. Good luck, everyone!!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy in April 2023 with a weight of 271 lbs. My current weight is now 233 lbs, and this weight loss is with minimum mobility. I started at the lowest dosage and am now on 2.4. I didn’t experience any symptoms until I reached 1.7, I felt nauseous and fatigued on the first day of injection, but after, I was fine. I definitely eat differently, I cut out the starches like potatoes and pasta, which gave me that overly full feeling, and I have never been a fan of snacks and sweets. I have a new love for fruits and veggies now, though, and I eat mainly protein and veggies. I feel like Wegovy helped me to live a healthier lifestyle when it comes to food choices. On occasion, I may get a craving for something a bit more hearty and treat myself, but Wegovy has definitely helped me to lead a healthier lifestyle as I approach my 40s."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just started Wegovy. Only 2 shots in at the starting dose. I like it so far. A little nausea at times, but it’s tolerable. I am drinking more water, which I think helps. The food noise is definitely dialed back big time. I do not feel hungry throughout the day, and I am eating about half the amount of food I am used to eating. I was very nervous taking the 1st shot. I am not afraid of needles at all, but I had a mental block thing going on. My recommendation is to do the shot in your arm. It’s easier than the stomach or leg. And if you have a doctor, close friend, or family member to help out, let them help for the 1st shot so you can see how the pen actually works live. The videos are helpful, but in person is much different. Good luck! I will post again in a few months."

I have 1 more pen to go on the 1 mg, and up until this week, I had no side effects but have noticed I have been slightly nauseous for about a week now. It DEFINITELY has curbed my appetite! I don't think I've finished a plate of food in about a month! I see my doctor every 3 weeks, and I'm maintaining the same weight that I started at."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Today was my 5th injection, so 4 full weeks on Wegovy. I am down 14.2 lbs. I have noticed an increase in nausea at times (but I did already struggle with intermittent nausea prior to starting Wegovy) and some slight dizziness at times. It has curbed my appetite, and truthfully I am craving healthier foods overall. However, I didn't really eat badly before (no soda/sugary drinks, gluten-free, low meat intake, lots of good plant-based proteins and veggies), but I do have a sweet tooth and would find myself eating chocolate when stressed. I still do, but to a much lower extent. I needed to lose the weight to help relieve the pressure on my back. I've struggled to keep weight off and maintain my fitness over the last 7 years since severely injuring my back. Hoping to lose the 60-70 lbs I've gained in that time and now starting to work with a new spine specialist to find a fitness regiment that is doable and sustainable for me to help keep the weight off once I'm done with the injections."

I still have the nausea, but it is usually the 2 days after my shot, then by the 3rd day, I only get nauseous if I eat too much. I was wearing a 4x/w26 size, now I'm wearing a 2x/w22, and that size is getting big. My problem is I have a hard time finding the time to exercise. I know I need to, at least for the toning and firming. Keep with it, this stuff works if you use it correctly."

I was quite nauseous at the start and found that by eating a mouthful of plain bread helped with the nausea. I have also been quite tired and although not constipated, my poops are firmer."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My experience with Wegovy has been a rollercoaster. In the first week, the 0.25 mg dose was great. In the second week, I started feeling the side effects of nausea, burping, gas, diarrhea, and bloating. I noticed that I did eat more. Make sure your portions are small and stick to fruit and vegetables. Soups and not greasy processed foods. You may feel sick and will take longer to digest. I am currently reconsidering if I should continue. I am not sure if I want to experience the side effects at a higher dose. I feel terrible all the time and have a headache. I feel exhausted all the time."

Had adverse effects conflicting with venlafaxine, worked through. Definitely have had vision changes as I have had cataract surgery and vision is affected. Yes, I guess I should stop, but I have 2 more months for 6 months of RX, then will quit! Have lost a good 25 lbs."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on 0.25 Wegovy. The injections are painless and easy to administer. For the 4 weeks, I took this dose, I felt fine with little side effects. I lost 3 lbs. I then moved onto 0.5 dose. I took the dose on a Friday and woke in the middle of the night with terrible sudden reflux and vomiting. This happened for 3 nights. I took my next 0.5 dose the following Friday and the same happened, along with dizziness, constant nausea, and very low mood. I have decided not to take the last 2 injections I have left as I just feel so poorly."

That's really easy to do when you're starving due to constant nausea and vomiting. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First day of injection, Aug 19th, 2024 SW - 236 pounds. November 22nd, 2024 last injection to date CW - 217 currently on 1.0 mg dose. Have not done anything extraordinary, try to make healthy choices and drink lots of water. Sometimes go for walks. Will continue to use this until I've reached ideal numbers. I like it, no problems so far. Just need to pay attention to hydration and nutrition. Sometimes experience nausea, drink water, take a Gravol. Also take a multivitamin but don't combine too many things unless you speak with a doctor. I'll post an update after Christmas."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 5 weeks, and I have already seen a decrease in my caloric intake (food record tracking) and a decrease in my appetite, which is helping with food intake. The only problematic side effects I have experienced are some indigestion and nausea in the 2nd - 3rd week of treatment, but this has resolved. I have just bumped up to .5 mL dosage with no issues. I am excited to be on this enhanced weight loss journey and look forward to positive results over the next months!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on this medication since August 2021. So far, I have lost 36 lbs. I have been on the max dose of 2.4 for going on 2 months now. Side effects I have experienced have been sulfur burps/gas, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and sensitivity on my back and scalp (sunburn-type feeling). Although I haven’t had the most pleasant side effects, I would still recommend this medication. Now that my body is used to it and I am up to the max dose, I haven’t had any of the side effects lately, besides occasional nausea. I have noticed the most weight loss on the 1.7 and 2.4 doses. Just this week alone, I have lost 5 lbs. I hope to keep losing at this rate. I am only 40 lbs away from my goal weight now. So far, I have not really changed much with my diet or exercise. I cook my meals at home, drink water, and walk a few miles a week, and that is it. If you can stick it out and get up to the maintenance dose, it gets better!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Taking Wegovy for weight loss and prediabetic. Into the third week of 0.5 mg and tolerated it well so far. No severe nausea and a few bouts of diarrhea. However, I had gastric bypass a few years back, and my stomach is always off with dumping syndrome. In 18 days, I’ve lost only 4.5 lbs, and that is tracking macros and eating about 600 calories per day and keeping carbs under 80g. It definitely has taken my urge to eat away, and I have to force myself to eat. I don’t have intense fullness, as I believe due to my stomach size I already eat tiny meals like 4 ounces, so I'm not pushing my stomach and having the medicine cause me to be sick. I can tell each week the side effects do lessen. I would hang in there. I know the weight loss hasn’t been terrific, but I have to remember this could help me stave off becoming diabetic."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in week 10/injection 2 of 1 mg and taking Wegovy for weight loss. I started at 142 kg and am down to 132 kg, which is wonderful. My goal weight is 115 kg as I'm tall and solid build. The side effects, nausea, fatigue, headaches, and some bowel upsets tend to dissipate 3 days after the injection. Avoid big meals and heavy/fatty foods in particular to minimize side effects. Not enjoying food and the social side can be a bit tough, but the results far outweigh any downsides. You actually save money overall due to eating less. I intend to stay the course and highly recommend this life-changing experience."

I've experienced great results, with limited side effects - mostly feeling nauseous, but it fades fairly quickly after the injection. I'll take it until I'm at my premenopausal weight, 62 kg. I highly recommend this drug for anyone 40 plus who's struggling to lose the belly fat. I'm currently on a 0.05 dose and don't feel the need to increase any further. My advice: start on a low dose, 0.25, and go from there. See a female doctor who specializes in women's health."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was 236.6, I'm 4 months in and now I'm 199 and feeling wonderful. I can't really say I've had any bad side effects except for a little nausea. I used to have 3 shots of espresso in the morning in my latte, so I tried only doing 2 shots and the nausea went away immediately. I can drink coffee later in the day just fine, it's just something in the early morning, so I just do the 2 shots when I wake up now and I'm fine. I have a high deductible crappy insurance plan, but my insurance for whatever reason covers this drug 100% with no copay or anything, which is absolutely amazing."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy .25 mg mid-August and felt no side effects but no weight loss neither. Difficult stool movement right away. After 6 weeks, I started taking .50 mg after difficulty finding this dose in any pharmacy in Miami. I stayed on this dose for 4 weeks without any weight loss or bad side effects, other than constipation. Then I started taking 1 mg and immediately started feeling very bad: severe nausea and indigestion and bad diarrhea. Obviously, you can’t eat anything, so yes, I finally started losing weight, but felt so bad, I could not function, slept a lot, did not eat, was on the toilet a lot, and decided this was not worth it and stopped after two injections. Perhaps other people can deal with these kinds of side effects or they just react easier. Since I started on low doses for so long, I was disappointed the side effects were still so strong. After about three days (after stopping), I feel normal again but weight comes back quickly if you don’t have an iron will!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 58, have IBS-D, no gallbladder, GERD, and am 60 lbs overweight. This is my second attempt at taking Wegovy. The first attempt was disastrous! I didn't make it through the first week before I was hit with diarrhea, nausea, acid reflux, dizziness, cramps, and had headaches. I missed four days of work and went to ER twice. The doctor did tell me to stop taking this, but I honestly did not think it was the Wegovy (I had not done any research on side effects). Once I got back to my normal state of digestive issues, I became proactive. I started back on Wegovy (.25 lowest dose) 6 weeks ago, but now I take a dose of Pepto-Bismol daily (twice a day the day of and day after the shot) and I take an OTC daily antacid. I still get mild side effects (nausea, headache, and fatigue) the day after the shot or if I overeat. I have not lost any weight at this dose so I am going up to the .5 dose next week. As others have said - everyone will react to this med differently."
