"I am not diabetic, but I started using Ozempic for weight loss. I took my first injection 5 days ago, and I feel like a different person. I have been energized, great mood, no cravings for sweets, and I get full very quickly when I finally do want to eat. I haven't checked my weight yet, but I definitely feel less bloated."

"My doctor gave me a 2-month sample for weight loss. I've been on it for 6 weeks and already lost 15 pounds. I was at 195 lb when I started and down to 180 lb, which at my age (50) I thought I'd never see. My only complaint is severe acid reflux, all day, all night. The doctor told me to take 40 mg of Prilosec in the morning and 40 mg at night (4 pills total). It worked, but now I'm concerned about this chemical cocktail I'm putting into my body just to lose weight, not sure if it's worth it long-term. But Ozempic does work! I sometimes have to force myself to eat and drink as I'll go the entire day without eating and realize I need fuel."

"Ozempic side effects, 6 months later after only one dose. I took only one dose and thought it was the end of me. It's 6 months later, I'm suffering the worst depression, I feel weak and shaky still, not sure how I can even function outside of the home. I was lucky to be working from home, but next week I go back to the office, and I'm terribly afraid I won't even be able to make it from my car to the building. I really need something to fix this. Do not take this drug, I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't live it."

"I wanted to lose about 45 pounds and asked my cardiologist to prescribe Wegovy because I have cardiovascular disease. I'm on a Medicare Advantage insurance, and the med was approved. I have been on it for 2.5 months and am down 25 pounds. I haven't had any noticeable side effects except insane constipation. I already had issues with that, so I take a Linzess every morning, and that does the trick. I started noticing the curbed appetite the day after my first dose. It's not as intense now, but I have zero food noise, and I just can't eat like I used to. I have had migraines for 35+ years, and I haven't had one since starting Wegovy. I don't think it's my weight loss or improved eating habits, I think it's the medication. Before I became disabled, I was a size 4 and ate very healthy, but had 12+ migraine days per month. I inject my dose in the stomach each week and have never had any reaction to the injection. Overall, I am thrilled with Wegovy so far."

"I’m 5 feet tall, 50, female, perimenopausal, non-diabetic, not prediabetic, 176 pounds. HbA1c is 37, but BMI is in the obese range. Started on 0.25 mg for 4 weeks. Lost 6 pounds. Definitely curbs appetite for the first 3 days, but cravings are back by day 4. Will need a higher dose. No nausea or other symptoms except bloating when I eat more than one portion. My diet is generally good as I rarely eat junk food and never drink soda or add sugar to anything. My diet is healthier than my skinny friends, but my problem is portion control. I’m optimistic this medication will work to curb overeating and head off obesity and diabetes post-menopause. Can’t “wait” to see what the 0.5 mg dose does for me."

"I do not have diabetes. I just have a terrible addiction to sugar and need to lose 20 lbs. I started Ozempic on December 1, it is now 2 months later. Started with 0.25 for 4 weeks, then up to 0.5 since. Had some mild nausea at first only and have thrown up 2 times. I have lost 10 lbs. I definitely cannot eat the quantity I used to, I just got full fast. I also am just not craving food or super hungry or interested in eating like before. I almost used to think about food a lot. My doctor is sampling it to me for 6 months."

"My experience with Wegovy. - Experienced upset stomach and nausea initially, but these symptoms were manageable. - Lost 32 pounds in six months, with reduced appetite as a significant benefit. - Knee issues have limited exercise, but weight loss has contributed to lower blood pressure. - Monthly cost is around $200, with insurance coverage easing the financial burden. - Wegovy's injection is easy to use and comes with excellent support and reminders."

"I am on day 4 after taking this and now bedridden. I have never been so sick in my life: nausea, vomiting, gas, headache, terrible smelly burping, dizzy, blurred vision, the list goes on. I hope this wears off soon, I have to go back to work. I am so disappointed in this product, very scary how it's destroying my body. I can't eat, sleep, barely move, just sipping water. Terrible stuff."

"Warning, this stuff will make you sick. I have been taking this for 2 months. In the first month, I had terrible diarrhea. It got so bad I ended up going to the hospital. I told my doctor, and he said he doubted it was Ozempic, so I tried it again in the 2nd month on a higher dose, and the 2nd week in, again I was terribly ill, vomiting for 4 days straight with intermittent diarrhea and feeling absolutely awful. My night sleep is very broken with stomach pains, increased wind, nausea. I'm now stopping using it."

"Taking the drug in the early evening really seems to help, maybe because I’m not so active, and then going to sleep gives the drug more time to get settled in the body. Plus, having small meals is also another great tip. So far, no side effects at all."

"My reasons for taking this are for weight loss, prior stroke, epilepsy, pre-diabetes. I’ve been on it at .25 for four weeks with no side effects and lost 39 lbs. I started 0.5 today, had explosive bowel movement and cramping after I injected, but now am fine. I weighed 199 and was 5’4” when starting, now weigh 160 lb. I lost my sweet tooth and eat reasonable meals. Today, for example, I had a packet of oatmeal for breakfast, had a junior burger for lunch, and will eat a small shrimp cocktail with a salad for dinner. The pen is easy to use. I inject under the skin on alternate sides of the belly."

"Got an Ozempic sample from my doctor. Taking .25 a week and on day 13, I have lost 14.5 lbs and no side effects. Went from 253 to 238.5 and did not change my diet. I was already watching what I ate but not losing any weight. (Sucks when you keep gaining weight on a diet.) Started taking Ozempic and started losing weight after the second day. Hope it continues. Hoping insurance pays but will stay on it either way."

"Believe it or not, I had to quit Ozempic because I had gallbladder removal. This isn't enough to blame Ozempic for its side effects. My gallbladder got removed on June 2, 2022, and I have all my medical paperwork. I told the doctor about this issue, and till today the doctor has never talked to me about it anymore. I have already filed many complaints with attorneys, and they are holding my complaint on ice at this point. Just letting y’all know that Ozempic can also cause problems such as gallbladder removal as well. Yes, I didn’t pay out of pocket, but it can cost my life another way. Ozempic can be dangerous, so please read my complaint before even starting to take it."

"It has been pretty amazing for me. Anything with sugar or wheat seems inedible, and I always feel full, so I am eating extremely small portion sizes. I am struggling to eat enough calories, yet I'll have to do it so as not to put my body in starving mode. Food no longer matters to me. I have to schedule my meals and set reminders. During the first 3 weeks, the weight loss was rapid (too fast even), then it slowed down remarkably. There have been weeks it plateaus, and once I even gained back 0.9 lbs, but usually the loss per week is 1.5-1.75 lbs, so within 3 months, I have lost 44 lbs already, and the weight loss continues. As for the dosage, I started with 0.25 mg, the 2nd month moved to 0.33 mg, the 3rd upped it to 0.4 mg, and now, while starting the 4th month, I increased it to 0.5 mg. This way, I managed to avoid any side effects (I had very mild ones when I started, almost unnoticeable, but still I did not want to risk it). So, for me, it has been nothing short of a miracle."

"I always had some side effects of Ozempic. Mainly exhaustion, nauseous, occasional throwing up after eating, constipation. As month 3 came and the dose increased to 1 mg, I ended up in the emergency room. I was vomiting and had liquid diarrhea for 4 days. My heart rate was elevated, and my potassium was dangerously low. At the time, I thought it was a stomach bug-until the next injection caused the same effects. I've been on anti-nausea medication since. I can see why it takes the appetite away-being exhausted and nauseous 24/7 is terrible. Potassium is still not where it should be. Hoping this gets out of my system fast."

"I have been battling hypoactive thyroid and autoimmune disease for several years. I gained weight with hypoactive thyroid (apparently it can happen to some people) and even more with all the medication and medication side effects. My doctors decided to put me on Ozempic to aid with the uncontrollable weight gain. I have just started, it is day 6 for me and so far no side effects apart from some constipation, but this can be attributed to eating way less. I am going to be on a low dose for the first 4-6 weeks, so we started with 0.25 mg. Already a couple of hours after the injection, I had lost my appetite, I suddenly view sweets and white bread/pastries/pasta as inedible plastic, I have zero cravings, I can drink just a half a glass of water OR have just a couple of olives OR a small piece of goat cheese and I feel full (as if my stomach has shrunk into a tiny one) and do not want to eat for hours or at all, so I have reminders set that I need to have a bite. It feels amazing."

"My doctor put me on Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes even though my A1C was at goal. It was a huge mistake. After 3 weeks at 0.5 units and 4 weeks at 1.0 units, I still had terrible nausea and diarrhea. I could barely leave my house. My diet changed from healthy legumes and vegetables to less healthy foods in an attempt to reduce the diarrhea and soothe my stomach. I couldn't exercise. I quit Ozempic about six weeks ago, and both my A1C and cholesterol were elevated at my checkup this week. I would not advise Ozempic for anybody who already has slow gastric emptying. I regret trying it."

"Within 12 hours of the first dose, vomiting occurred and continued for 3 days. Unable to keep any food down; small sips of ginger ale the only thing I did not vomit. Lower abdominal tight cramping. Pain in the upper abdomen. Vomiting at all times of day and night, which added to the fatigued feeling. Days 4-7 felt queasy. Second injection: same side effects as first. Emetrol helped me eat dry toast (1/2 slice) and weak tea. Third dose: same effects, but only for 2-1/2 days."

"Working with a board-certified obesity physician who suggested I try Ozempic. I am not diabetic but was pre-diabetic in 2015 and was on 1,000 mg Metformin until February of this year. I LOVE Ozempic. I feel like a normal human who doesn't think about food constantly, who can now leave food on my plate (because of Ozempic) and not pick at other people's plates. I've lost 32 pounds in 19 weeks!! I never had any gastrointestinal problems with the exception of being constipated, so I take something for that a couple of times a week. It is much better than the diarrhea I had with Metformin. I started on .025 mg for the first four weeks, then went to .05 mg and plan to stay on that as long as it works. BUT PLEASE BE AWARE, you have to cut down on carbs like breads, pastas, and sweets. I don't have a craving for sweets anymore. My doctor said Ozempic doesn't work as well if you keep eating those kinds of carbs, and I have noticed that when I cheat. I'm 74, something about 'old dog new tricks'"

"Was taking Ozempic for weight loss started a year ago when I started at the lowest dose. I was moved up to 1 gm after about seven months of being on it. At the beginning, it wasn’t bothering me, I went from 272 to 214, but I had to stop taking it. I’ve been in the hospital because of the side effects: I had bowel obstruction, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, this bad taste I can’t get rid of on my tongue, so tired I can’t get out of bed that I miss so many days at work as it is a struggle to go. I feel so horrible. It’s been three weeks since I stopped taking Ozempic, but I’m still not feeling any better."

"I started with 0.25 at 170 lbs and was hopeful. 1st and 2nd injection, no problem, I thought, but I had gained 2 pounds, very constipated. 3rd injection, everything changed, less than 12 hours, the worst stomach cramps ever, on the stool every 20 minutes for the next 10 hours, bearing down so hard it was like labor pains. I started passing blood, and my urine became so dark it looked like apple juice. I took the last injection on Friday, that problem did not clear up until late Tuesday afternoon. I did call the doctor, he put me on antibiotics. There is no reversal for this medication. It was not for me."

"Ozempic has greatly reduced how much I eat. I feel full earlier. I do snack between meals but choose healthier foods like raw nuts or fruit. The only side effects I have experienced are constipation (relieved with Senna Plus) and a bit of indigestion, especially if I eat beyond being satisfied. I have been taking the medication for about 7 weeks and have lost 23 pounds. I'm very happy with how well the medication is working for me. The cost is a concern because my insurance refuses to cover it if it is being used to reduce weight and cardiac risks. But to me it's worth it."

"I am using it for weight loss, and so far after three months, I’ve lost 10 pounds and have really lost belly fat. I still suffer from some heartburn occasionally and some constipation, but mild compared to at the beginning. Before this, I tried everything to lose the weight I put on going through menopause, including the keto diet, intermittent fasting, and a vegan diet. I also was doing high-intensity interval training 4-6 times per week. Nothing worked until my specialist put me on Ozempic. My one concern is in regard to my fingernails, which have become quite discolored (a dark yellow) since being on the medication. Has anyone else noted this side effect?"

"The medical weight loss program kicked me out because their drugs weren't helping. I lost minimal weight, and the weight I lost was trying to come back on. I had already been eating very moderately for years at this point. I would try to get in some walking, but exercise was limited due to fatigue, pain, and weight. When I went on Ozempic, I experienced a slight increase in fatigue (barely noteworthy), I experienced slight nausea (barely noteworthy), and acid reflux (I took an acid pill on shot day and kept my carbs minimal). Immediately, my feet and hands stopped hurting all the time, and the swelling I wasn't noticing went down, and I realized how swollen I had been. I lost about 20 lbs that stayed off and stable. I eat small amounts, and the reduction in pain made exercising easier, but I have stalled on weight loss. That said, my new weight seems stable. Reduce sugars and carbs, and the acid reflux stays at bay. I've been on it for about 3 years."

"Started taking Ozempic 0.25 mg 7 weeks ago and increased to 0.5 after 4 weeks. The reason for taking Ozempic was mainly for weight loss, although I was pre-diabetic. I was originally 94 kgs and I’m 76 kgs today. Have always struggled with weight loss since giving birth to my 8-year-old. I experience slight nausea here and there, and I find that oily foods tend to trigger it, so I try to eat less fatty foods. I do minimal exercise, and I’m so happy with the result. Will continue taking Ozempic until I reach my target weight, then will decide if I want to stop it or continue on a minimal dose for maintenance. I’m scared if I stop, I might regain the weight. I highly recommend this drug to anyone struggling with weight loss."
