Secukinumab "I was doing very well on this medication until there was a mix-up with my pharmacy and insurance around the new year. I missed my dose by about 6 days, and since then, the medication has not been working as well. I keep getting flare-ups about every 3 weeks."

"Relieved severe perineal subcutaneous infection and related swelling that had persisted for five months, with the first month of weekly shots. Transitioned to monthly shots and swelling returned. Transitioned to every two weeks and HS is quieted, but now have developed chronic lower back pain. Injecting the unready pen shots is painful for me. My doctor and the pharmacist were surprised to hear this. It is difficult for me to hold the pen in place for the whole injection to complete. Once it hurt so much that I involuntarily pulled it away from my leg and sprayed medicine around my bathroom. The pharmacist thought it may be painful because it isn't warm enough; my last shot sat at room temp of 70 for five hours before I took it, and it was also an endurance test to inject, so I am not convinced the medicine's temperature determines the discomfort of an injection."
