For COPD "I have been taking this medication for 12 days now. Sometimes I have diarrhea the morning after I take it, sometimes I don't. I have had a headache for five of those days. Sometimes I get extremely nauseated after I take it, but it passes in about an hour. Sometimes I sweat. The first few days I felt like my breathing was better. Now, I'm not so sure. I have lost 7 pounds in 12 days. This medication suppresses your appetite and for me totally took away my craving for sweets. A good thing I guess, as long as I don't lose over about 15 lbs."

For COPD "I have been on Daliresp for over 2 weeks now; I could tell there was much improvement in my breathing. I didn't need to use supplemental oxygen at all. However, yesterday, I couldn't take the nausea, vomiting, tremors, leg aches, headaches, and bathroom trips any longer. I tried taking the medication with and without food, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I'm wondering how long the side effects last? It seems some people don't have side effects at all. I am so disappointed that I won't be able to continue this drug, as I feel that it was helping me with my breathing. But I can't stand the side effects any longer. I have lost 10 lbs in the 2 weeks, I have no appetite whatsoever, and I know that I need the nutrition since prednisone causes bone loss."

For COPD "I started Daliresp 7 days ago for COPD. I have side effects that are hard to ignore: headaches, body aches, and nausea. I’m going to give it a month before considering stopping. On a positive note, I started breathing better from day one. Hope the side effects will go away soon."

For COPD "Got prescribed this as I'm allergic to prednisone. On it for 3 weeks but only taking 1/2 of the 500 pill daily with food as it was making me quite nauseated and continues but not as bad. A little apprehensive about taking a new medicine (FDA approval 05/11)."

For COPD "I've been on Daliresp for five days. Sick to my tummy and diarrhea is really bad. Tremors and headache. But going to give it a month or two and see if side effects go away. I take Imodium for poops and a nausea pill. It helps."

For COPD, Maintenance "Started taking Daliresp 3 months ago. Noticed improvement in breathing in 1st week. Then started having nausea and loss of appetite. I also started having other reactions, insomnia, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bad thoughts about death. Over the last 2 months, it's gotten worse. I didn't know it could be the Daliresp. This morning I woke up at 1 am, couldn't go back to sleep because of thoughts of dying. It's 2 pm, I'm still awake (I can't sleep during the day). Got so bad I went to the ER today. The doctor told me to stop the Daliresp. OK! I never had mental health issues before. I don't have any clue how long it will take to recover from the mental health issues I'm having."

For COPD, Maintenance "Same as previous comment. Made me sick to my stomach, serious diarrhea. Only took for 4 days and felt terrible, like I had the flu. It did help the breathing, but not enough to put up with the side effects."

For COPD, Maintenance "Love what this does to improve my breathing, but the diarrhea just won't go away, and that is the worst side effect for me. I tried taking it in the morning and got headaches and felt nauseous, as well as having the diarrhea, so I took it at night, but the diarrhea has persisted. If I can't take something to counter this side effect, I will stop taking it, as I can't go anywhere with the diarrhea."

For COPD "I've been on Daliresp for 2 weeks now. I've had back-to-back flare-ups for the last year. The last one put me in bed for 16 days. My pulmonologist retired and I went to a new pulmonologist for the first time. He described Daliresp as a miracle drug for COPD. He started me on it. I've seen improvement in 14 days. The only side effect I've had is nausea and a slight headache in the morning. I started taking it at bedtime and the nausea stopped. A couple of Tylenol stops the headache in the morning. I can already see improvement in my breathing. God sent me a miracle! I really thought during this last flare-up I was going to die. I could stand to lose some weight. I am 30 lbs overweight starting out, so I don't foresee being a problem. I go to 500 mg after the first 30 days. I am thrilled about Daliresp."

For COPD, Maintenance "It hasn't helped my severe COPD and acute exacerbations. My doctor gave me samples to try, but so far, nothing. I will continue to take until all is gone, then I have to call the doctor about the results. I have extreme sweating and was sick to my stomach the first week, but now it's just every so often."

For COPD "Daliresp did cause me nausea and diarrhea, but... Doctor prescribed Zofran for the nausea, and Zofran causes constipation. Problem solved."

For COPD "Medicine took water weight of 24 lb immediately and another 9 lb in the next 2 weeks. Helped my breathing almost immediately. Was nauseous for 6 months, however I took the med at night to sleep through nausea. Have used for 1 1/2 years and no more side effects. Does help keep swelling to a minimum in entire body."
