"Began Skyrizi journey 7 months ago. 3 infusions and 2 OBI (on body injections) later, am in a much better place. When I started out, I was running to find a bathroom 20+ times a day. Now that I’m 7 months in, I’m under 3 times a day. The infusions and later OBI are easy to do. I am normally achy/tired for 1-2 days after the introduction of Skyrizi to my system. It improves after a few days. It normally takes 7-13 days before I see any effects from the medication. While I have a way still to go in healing, Skyrizi has eliminated the multiple times to the bathroom a day, the blood, and everything else associated with a UC flare. AbbVie (Skyrizi manufacturer) has financial assistance as well as supplying you with a Nurse Ambassador who helps you along the way. Skyrizi is my first biologic, and I’m grateful my doctor prescribed it. Looking forward to my next dose and to see what improvements it will bring."
