"10 mg when I feel a migraine coming on, also take propranolol and Tylenol. This stops 60% of attacks for me if used early, but helps under 50% of the time after the migraine is pounding. I take triptans if it doesn't help within 45 minutes. I am a physician and have had migraines since second grade. It also has anti-nausea and anti-vomiting effects. It's used IV in the emergency room in Australia at 12.5 mg for migraine. It's available OTC in England for migraines. It used to be called Compazine and was often used rectally for vomiting. Studies show a 62%-95% effective rate in the ER for people with migraine. But studies were small and not sufficient proof to be approved in the USA. So it is not known by USA doctors. But it's used in Australian ERs. It's generic, so no profit for drug companies to have drug trials to prove it works. Oral gepants drugs work about the same as oral triptans for me. If all else fails and my migraine is pounding, I sit in a hot tub and use an ice pack on my head."

"Do not use this drug at all! I have had the worst anxiety attacks and have it as an allergen on my chart. They should not use this drug, period, for people with migraines."
