Prochlorperazine "I was given this in the ER mixed with Toradol, and, man, this stuff had me feeling anxious. I wanted to rip out my IV. On the way home, I felt like jumping out of the car, I felt suffocated. NEVER AGAIN."

Prochlorperazine "I feel so sorry for all the people who had a bad reaction to the drug. My experience is just the opposite. From day one, it has calmed me, I sleep like a baby. Good, restful sleep all through the night. I'm not depressed at all the next day. I take it every night at the same time exactly. 10mg, Gabapentin 600mg, Magnesium 600mg for neuropathy, it works."

Prochlorperazine "I went to the ER twice. I had pain, and I was given this drug. Both times, I had the most intense panic attack of my life!!!! I wanted to freak out and run yelling. I couldn’t breathe, my legs were feeling like I had bugs in them. I couldn’t stand it!!! I actually told the last nurse I didn’t want it because of my first experience. She ignored me and gave it anyway!! I had a major episode and demanded the IV to be taken out. I would rather be in intense pain! DO NOT use this drug!"

"I had a very bad experience back in 1999. I was only 25 years old at the time, with two young children, ages 6 and 3. I went to have surgery and was given this medicine, which I had a bad reaction to and led me to stop breathing and stopped my heart. I was pronounced dead for 3 minutes. Luckily, they were able to bring me back, and all the doctors and nurses had a big scare that day. I am lucky to still be here along with my two children, who are now 25 and 28."

"I suffer terrible anxiety. I was given this medication by my doctor, and I thought I was going insane. I felt extremely flat, dead inside, empty, lost. It was just awful. Never again."

"I took it for vertigo and about to lose my mind. Severe restlessness had to be given another drug, which took care of it for 1 hour. I have to take Benadryl to help calm me down."

"I had three days of severe dizziness and had to phone 000 for an ambulance. The doctor diagnosed vertigo, and I was given an injection of prochlorperazine. Straight away, I had sweats, panic, tremors, and just couldn't wait to get home. I was given a prescription for nine days' tablets of the same, which I took as it was getting rid of the vertigo. My G.P. then gave me a month more. It is only now on reflection that I realize I had none of these awful effects before the vertigo. I have been left with internal tremors, which my doctors have prescribed a low dose of a blood pressure tablet, which would you believe has a side effect of dizziness! I won't be taking those! One tip: I have found that a drink of wine stops the fluttering and makes me calm... not to excess, but I'll rely on that and hope it will subside over time. I'll be careful never to be given prochlorperazine ever again. Reading these reviews has reassured me that it was that terrible drug."
