"Ok, maybe I am not giving it a chance, but I was and am having constipation issues. My doctor told me to use MiraLAX for 10 days every day. It has only been 4 days. It worked on day one, and now nothing, it just softens it and cannot expel it. I guess I will just have to keep trying for the next 6 days. Appointment on the 16th."

"I hadn't had a BM in over a week, and took this, and I was able to go within a few hours. Not sure if it really worked or if it was just from drinking more water, but I think MiraLAX helped a little! Will use again if needed!"

"I take bisacodyl and 1 cap of ClearLax (in water or Sprite/7Up) before bedtime - it works brilliantly for me. Highly recommend that you at least try ClearLax; you don't have to use the Dulcolax/major tablets with it, but that's what works for me... so everyone's body is different. I have not experienced any upset tummy as I did with Dulcolax; but with the major and ClearLax, I feel perfectly fine and good to get on with my day after noon..."

"3 days taking MiraLAX, first-time user and no results. Drank a lot of water, more than 8 cups a day, and nothing. First time experiencing constipation at 25 years of age. Haven’t popped in 2 days now."

"Just had a hysterectomy last Wednesday. I have been having 'very little,' if at all, bowel motions. I woke up this morning in excruciating abdominal pain. I took 2 doses in orange juice, and I produced my first bowel motion in 1 hour! Wow! More fiber, water, ambulation, and MiraLAX should keep me regular."

"Took this after surgery to prevent complications with stitches in the abdominal cavity. After 3 days of using correctly, I can’t sleep and have waterfalls of diarrhea that won’t go away after 2 days off. Sure, it evacuated the system well and crushes destroys everything in its path."

"I love the idea of a gentler laxative, but unfortunately, I can’t take this because it gives me the smelliest gas I’ve ever experienced. It happens every time I’ve tried it. It’s not worth it. Prune juice or classic laxatives for me."

"My granddaughter is four. She was born with a birth defect and has chronic constipation. We tried prune juice when she was a baby, it only worked for a little bit. Then she got sent to a G.I. doctor, and he said to try MiraLAX and give her a whole packet. She has been on it since she was about a year and a half, and it works great for her. She will have to be on it for a while. She had to learn how to recognize her symptoms and when to go to the bathroom, and with this medicine, she is doing awesome. I hope that she won't have to be on it for life. Thank you, MiraLAX."

"You want to poop? This will make you poop. I don't promise you'll like the consistency, but you'll definitely poop. You can adjust your dosage to make your stool less soft, surely. Just taking half the recommended dosage, I went from barely pooping once a day to three large movements. I really only require about 1/4 of the recommended dosage to get the job done. Try it if you're constipated!"

"I have had to use this product a lot more than I'd like to admit. Over the last year, I have gone through about 6 boxes of 12, if not more. It works in about 2 minutes for me, so it works almost instantly, which is why I love them so much, however, they only clean out the lower section of your bowel and not all your bowels. Which is good and bad. For severe constipation, I'd recommend also taking an oral medication as well."

"I was put on this for anal fissure, and it was not worth the side effects. Excess gas and burping, nausea, and slight confusion. Healthy 21-year-old male. My stomach hurts 24/7, cramps. Makes life miserable."

"Works well for constipation due to Venlafaxine ER. I take Miralax every night at bedtime in hot tea, after a typical day of drinking 2L of water, eating an extremely high-fiber diet (veg except for fish, exclusively whole grains, cooked with extra-virgin olive oil), and some walking, along with lots of tea, both green and black. The Miralax helps, but still only 1 movement per day, versus 3 prior to medication. When I double the Miralax, THEN things start to approach pre-medication regularity."

"My doctor recommended it to me about 9 months ago when I found out I was pregnant, which I'm glad he did. At first, I was reluctant to try it, but I ended up with severe constipation when I was about 4 months along, and they had to dig poop out of me at the hospital - not pleasurable. Anyway, I started taking it twice a day as directed by my doctor. It took about 3 days to actually fully work, once it did, I was so happy. I will definitely use it again if needed."

"I have always had trouble with being constipated, ever since I was a child. I have a sluggish colon with gastroparesis. I remember having to go to the emergency room several times throughout my childhood due to severe stomach cramps and my parents being told that I had stool backed up almost to my stomach each time. Now, with those issues in tow, I also have IBS-C & opioid-induced constipation. I have tried Movantik, Linzess, Amtiza, Milk of Magnesia, Ex-Lax, stool softeners, fiber (which is a nightmare and can obstruct your intestines if you have low or slow motility like I do), and all the other tricks in the book to alleviate constipation. I can take MiraLAX 4 to 5 days with absolutely no change in bowel movements but a lot of negative effects such as intense waves of nausea, intense gas, bloating, stomach pain, headaches, and feeling extremely ill. I experience electricity-type sensations throughout my entire body with vomiting. It literally feels like I've been poisoned."

"I had problems going to the bathroom, and my doctor recommended me to use it in the morning at 7 a.m. and at night at 7 p.m. He told me it would take 3 days to let it all go. Well, it was right on the money-3 days. All I did was sit there, and it came out smooth. Some push-that was it. I was on the pot for like 4 minutes, and what a relief. I feel good now."

"When I first used this product, I was recommended by my doctor. They told me I had to take it indefinitely as I think I have sluggish bowels. They said it may take about a week to work. So I started taking it on a Monday. I felt it moving through, but nothing happened. I told my family that it wasn't working. Well, I took it every day until the next Monday. I went to class. I was in class, and I was like, I feel like I gotta poop. A few minutes later, man, I do gotta poop, and then I was like, oh crap, I really got to go. I was scared there would be an explosion or runny. I went, and it was so easy. Ever since that day, it works, and I was like - I like this stuff!"

"I have always suffered with constipation. I cannot 'go' in a public place, nor can I go with people around. This has been debilitating for me. I do find that enemas work well when we get company that stays with us. The problem is that once they leave, it is hard to go without an enema. Usually, 3 capfuls of MiraLAX and lots of water, and a day later, I start to go. Then I'm usually regular without taking any more. The gas after day three is really bad and exceptionally terrible smelling."

"Due to medical problems, I take a lot of different medications and iron on top of them that cause me to become constantly constipated. Miralax works very efficiently on me for the constipation. It takes about a half hour after consuming to produce results. It’s really nice knowing I’ll get quick relief consistently. Rarely does it cause diarrhea for me."

"Started taking MiraLAX about a week ago. I didn't have it with me this last weekend, and I still went to the bathroom. I must say since I have been taking it, I have had a little cramping, this pretty much is the red flag saying time to use the restroom. I must be really constipated if this cramping is happening. But I'm going to keep taking it and see how I feel in a few weeks. So far, I'm going to the restroom, it's slowly moving out. Yeah! MiraLAX."

"I suffer from chronic constipation. I took the adult recommended dose mixed with sweet tea. After two hours, my stomach began gurgling. I barely made it to the bathroom. It has been like water after the first two loose movements. It has also made me extremely nauseated, and I've vomited twice. I feel so sick right now, it's unreal."

"I have a lot to say as this stuff is great! It works all the time, anytime, lasts a very long time, and even when you cut down on the dose, once it starts working, it will always work. Must take it every day for a week or two for it to work! Never take it during the end of the day, or it will drain you literally. Take it in the morning to noon. If you do these few simple things, in my opinion, there are no pills better! Feels natural, and a little goes a long way. Most constipation pills make me feel horrible and bloated, if you're taking it as I said, you won't get any of this. I have done all three! Best product ever."

"MiraLAX used to work fine. Now, ever since the doctor recommended it to me (again, after a few months of using it), it doesn't work. I could wait 3-4 days and nothing happens. To make sure there isn't any confusion, I am not dependent on MiraLAX at all, but use it only once in a blue moon, basically."

"I had to go to the ER due to horrible stomach pains and was told I was 'plugged up' and needed laxatives. The ER doctor prescribed me MiraLAX and so far it's done nothing. Literally. It's been three days they speak of on the back of the bottle, and I still can't go properly. I've been guzzling water like crazy, and not only does that make me nauseous (plain water is so freaking gross) and apple juice. I was told by the ER doc to take it once a day, then I called a gastroenterologist and she told me to take it at least four times a day. We'll see, but so far this product has done nothing for me."

"Following horrific food poisoning, I became extremely constipated. Could not poop for roughly 2 weeks. I have IBS-C, and ClearLax (polyethylene glycol 33500) is the only medication that has helped me. Three days post taking ClearLax, I had a loose bowel movement that was smelly. But after I cut the amount of ClearLax from 17g to 10g, BMs have been relatively normal. Side effects: queasiness after drinking ClearLax with water, rumbling stomach, excessive gas, and looser BMs. There is a slight flavor to it, almost tastes like artificial cucumber. Highly recommend this product."

"After lower back surgery, I was prescribed Oxycodone for pain and Diazepam (Valium) for muscle spasms. The only problem is constipation, something that I had never experienced before. The instructions say that it may take up to 72 hours, and this is how long it took to work for me. I was skeptical if it was going to work at all, but it did. No pain or any problems. I went easy, the only thing is the smell is hard to describe. Haha! I took it twice a day on the advice of the nurse after the single dose didn't bring me any results the first day. Always ask your doctor for stuff like that even though it is an OTC remedy. Hope you feel better."
