For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Adipex for 2 weeks now. I do have some sleeping problems, but it is getting better. I have had some dizziness also. I was 246 lbs, and at my 2-week weigh-in, I was 235 lbs. I have changed the way that I eat and have had no time for exercise. I love this pill."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So, a coworker told me about Adipex, and I was super eager to try anything to lose the extra weight. I can't post anything about results yet, but I can say this: yesterday was my first dose, and I immediately experienced dry mouth, which can be lessened with gum chewing/drinking water. Also, I guess related to dry mouth, I have been told by my boyfriend my breath has a new/different (bad) smell-he's a real charmer. Energy is crazy high! But downside, I haven't slept but 2 hours in...oh, the last 36 hours, and I have had NO DESIRE to eat. Anything. It's really hard to force myself to eat when I have no interest. So, EXTREME suppressant for me. Hoping just initial adjustment because I won't be able to continue if I have severe insomnia/anorexia. Will update:)"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking it for almost 2 months now, and I lost 9 lbs the first month and had a lot more energy. The second month I haven't lost anything and no energy. I have had constipation, cramps, dry mouth, and insomnia. I have to go to the doctor once a month for a check-up and a new prescription. My goal is to lose 30 lbs, but at this rate, I am not going to make it. I walk 3 miles a day at a brisk walk and do a cardio workout 3 times a week, but can't seem to lose the weight like everyone else who have commented on this board."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This drug works well while you take it, but if you are looking for lasting results in weight loss, this is not the fix. There are side effects such as feeling uneasy, hyper, and an inability to sleep. Also, the longer you take this medication, the less it works. This may be a good way to start your weight loss, but you must be prepared to make lasting changes for the results to last."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Not obese, but med change and back surgery resulted in an extra 20 lbs not normal for me. Doc required tracking of diet and exercise before RX was given and would only write for brand name as generic ramped up potential side effects. Continued regular monitoring and input on necessary long-term diet changes. I lost 30 lbs and have been off for a week. I eat foods I love and that are healthy, so no sacrifice there. The energy it provided allowed me to create an AM yoga routine each day. Side effects of dry mouth and less sleep were there but minimal. Pretty tired in the beginning of coming off them, but adjusting now. The goals we set together were met, and the purpose of a lifestyle change/improvement were accomplished. This is a solution to changing your lifestyle."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Well, I have been on Adipex-P since the beginning of August, and I have lost 39 pounds. I have adjusted to the pill and don't have sleepless nights or dry mouth. This pill is amazing for appetite control. I take it early morning and don't get very hungry throughout the day. I keep a healthy snack with me and nibble on that. For dinner, I pretty much eat what I want, but I portion it out to smaller servings. I drink lots of water too. The people I work with are amazed at my results. My doctor even said she hasn't had anyone with results like I have had. If you are looking for a good diet aid, this would be it. I wish I would have found this miracle pill sooner."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started this pill on 2/24/17. So far, I have lost about a pound a day. I only eat 1,000 calories a day and exercise whenever I get up early enough. I have experienced some terrible side effects, which include dry mouth, insomnia, tingling in my left leg, jitters, and headaches. The side effects are terrible, but I've looked up ways to deal with them: dry mouth, I drink a bunch of water, insomnia, I take ZzzQuil, jitters, drink more water and take deep breaths, headaches, I take pain pills. Does anyone know how long before my body gets used to this medication and the side effects go away?"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Today is 3 weeks on Adipex. Symptoms have pretty much subsided, but at first, I was having trouble sleeping. I had a little bit of increased heart rate and random numbness in my arms and hands. I also still feel cold a lot, but nothing unmanageable. My start weight was 182 lb, I'm down to 168 lb. Goal weight is 130 lb. I've cut my calorie intake way down: no breads or sugars, no pop. The medicine does give me a really bad dry mouth, which is good for me because I want nothing but water and lots of it! I do still feel hungry on Adipex, which is good, but it's cut my cravings and my appetite, so I eat small portions of good, healthy meals and healthy snacks in between! I'm excited to see where I am at 8 weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm on day 7 of the medication and down 8 pounds. No desire to snack, and I'm full very quickly. I'm not experiencing increased energy, but I'm sleeping less. I started at 244.4 and I'm down to 236.4... Fingers crossed this weight loss continues!"

"I am down 13 pounds in 10 days of taking this medication. Haven't eaten much since starting, so I'm pushing the fluids to keep hydrated. No exercise, but I'm a mom of 4, so I'm kept busy running around after kids. Jitters, insomnia, dry mouth, and dizziness are some side effects I've had, but hoping that my body adjusts to the medicine soon."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking the generic version 6 months ago. I had to go to my doctor every two weeks for a weigh-in and to 'earn' another prescription (had to show some weight loss). The first two days were the hardest, with nausea. I felt tired but had insomnia. I did lose 9 lbs the first 2 weeks, but after that, I have only lost about 1-1.5 lbs/week. I began working out 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes to improve muscle tone and cardio fitness. The dry mouth and constipation were bad, so I began taking the pill every other day, which really helped. I did not notice any increase in appetite. So far, I have lost 40 lbs. My doctor is thrilled and said I can continue with skipping 2-3 days. I plan on stopping when I hit 50 lb loss. I want to lose 100 lbs total."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I used Adipex for 3 months, lost 30 lbs the first 2 weeks. I had side effects of dizziness, sweating, insomnia, rapid heart rate, but I had a lot of energy, and the side effects only lasted 2 weeks. I cut back on going out to eat, and ate Lean Cuisine, drank only water or coffee with sweetener or unsweet tea. This pill is amazing, and I can't wait to go back on it again in 6 months! Cost was only $40.00."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took Adipex for 8 months and lost about 20 pounds. I just started taking it again and am down an additional 12 pounds. I am very thankful for this medication, for I feel like it's given me the life I've always dreamed of. The only side effects I've ever felt are: dry mouth, insomnia, and I was depressed when I stopped taking the drug. My results have outweighed the side effects on all counts. I strongly recommend this medication to anyone who is interested in losing weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "One month today, went to the doctor for a refill. Down 16 pounds!! I do waitress, so that helps, constantly walking at work. Adipex just keeps me from constantly thinking about food. First couple of days, restless, can't sleep...learned to take it first thing in the morning so by bedtime, it's okay."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I weigh 239. The day I started Adipex, it's been 5 days, and I just checked the scale, I've lost 5 lbs! My first goal is to make it to 160 lbs, being 27 and 5'8, then hope to get to 140 lbs! My mom referred me to Adipex because she is 57, and within less than a year on this, she looks amazing. I have two children, the youngest being 9 months. I've gained so much weight, but the news of already losing 5 lbs makes me hopeful! I have dry mouth and trouble sleeping. I'm making myself drink more water to help lose weight and with the thirst. I take a half with breakfast and a half at lunch, and it helps a lot, but my problem is with eating dinner and eating a late dinner, so I will work harder on willpower."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking this medication for over 7 weeks, and I have only lost 4 lbs. I barely sleep, even if I take the pill at 6:30 a.m., and I do have to drink water often due to the dry mouth. The one great thing that I have noticed, though, is that I no longer have those uncontrollable cravings for junk food."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I used to weigh 178 lbs. After losing 17 lbs on my own, I hit a plateau that I couldn't get past, so I went to the doctor and asked if I could take it for about a month just to see if it would help. I just started it yesterday and can already feel my energy surge. I made the mistake of taking a pill at 2 pm yesterday and could not sleep. Today, I took it at 6 am, so I think I will do better this evening. I weigh once a week, and tomorrow is the day, so I am excited to see if it helped just in this short amount of time. By the way, I am following a low-carb diet and exercising at least 30 min/day on the treadmill. I'll re-post later."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just started taking Adipex 2 days ago. I can't say much right now, but that for these past couple of days, I haven't really been hungry, and I have been experiencing dry mouth and insomnia (can't sleep at night). I had a bad miscarriage last year, and I gained a lot of weight. I hope this works."
