For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started off on the highest mg, which is 37.5, and it has worked very well for me. In my first month, I had lost 26 lbs, and in 6 months, I lost a total of 90 lbs. I DID NOT EAT HEALTHY NOR DID I EXERCISE. I took a break from it a couple of months back because it's not safe to take it for an extended period of time due to the fact that it takes a toll on your liver. I just got back on it again yesterday. It will cause you to have DRY MOUTH, CONSTIPATION, URGES TO DRINK LOTS OF WATER, ENERGY, ABILITY TO STAY FOCUSED, INSOMNIA, FAST HEART RATE, MOOD SWINGS, NAUSEA, AND EASES BODY PAIN. I have a heart murmur and panic attacks, so after taking this medication, I notice it gets harder for me to breathe as the day goes by."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Adipex for about 5-6 years. All I can say is that some of you will feel bad or very bad after taking it but most importantly, it is to take vitamins and minerals along with Adipex. I had back pain, heart racing, and then even felt like my heart stopped for 2 seconds. It was scary but I started to listen to my body. I drank lots of water, ate loads of spinach and leafy greens, and took vitamins constantly. It is also strongly advisable not to eat any meat or heavy meals. Please remember that despite the fact that you get loads of energy, your bowels are sleeping, you can hardly feel any movement in your stomach. Phentermine is blocking the 'hunger center' in your brain. I hope it helps. I have reduced all the side effects I've had."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Adipex for two weeks. My doctor suggested it to help me lose some weight. I was 200 pounds at the start. I am now 194 lbs after 2 weeks. I take a half pill a day. I work at a desk all day and would have issues with snacking all afternoon. Now I don't. I force myself to eat some fruit every afternoon or a protein shake. I can't eat a full meal because I feel fuller faster. I have more energy. I have had dry mouth, but drinking water is a big help with that, and I drink a lot more water. I do have some heart racing at times, but the more water I drink, the better that is, which is good because it did throw me into a few panic attacks. No headaches. I did get insomnia the first two nights, but I switched to taking the pill at 10 am instead of noon and that stopped. I started exercising so hope to see more weight drop off. My goal weight is 145, but I am only taking this until my bottle is gone."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Adipex on January 15, 2013. I am 24 years old, 5'5, and my weight during that time was 259 lbs sadly. Today it is April 23, 2013, and I have lost 38 lbs! I have tried many other diet pills but never had any luck. I have tried to exercise and watch calories without the help of diet pills but it just wasn't working for me. Yes, there were side effects: high blood pressure/high heart rate (WATCH FOR IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT). If so, call the doctor that gave the medicine. As long as I drank a lot of water, the side effects decreased and were tolerable. I would recommend this to anyone who has a hard time sticking to a diet and exercise. This pill has worked great for me. Drink only water, get rid of sugar. Walk at least one mile a day."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed phentermine/Adipex for weight loss after I discussed with my doctor my lack of energy being a full-time single working mother. Time and motivation were really my issues contributing to my weight. She said this would give me the motivation and 'want' to exercise and is an appetite suppressant. Those two things are very true. I work a desk job and cannot exercise until evening, so that is hard. On day 1 and 2, I was on the go all day and felt fantastic, full of energy, and very happy. On day 3, I had several negative side effects of high blood pressure, heart pounding, fatigue, insomnia. On day 4, I had the dose cut in half by my doctor. Today is Friday, day 5, and I have lost 9.5 pounds since Monday. Hoping to see more loss but slower!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Adipex on Jan 1, 2014, until Feb 1, 2014. I lost 30 pounds even. I did only 30 minutes of cardio a day. That was just brisk walking. My side effects were: cotton mouth, extreme loss of appetite, I lost my ass, I had extreme energy, couldn't sleep, I was very focused, I had a pleasant attitude but quickly became irritated, fast heartbeat, and blurry vision every now and again. My doctor told me that with Adipex, it helps you curb your hunger, but when you work out, it burns double calories. I was 180 and went to 149. When I stopped, the weight never came back, and it became hard for me to eat as much as I used to. I got pregnant and had a baby on Jan 29, 2015. I am 180 pounds as of 2/4/17 and I started Adipex again. Same symptoms, and I'm losing a lot again."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Phen on 9/27/2016 weighing 201 lbs. Today is 10/21/2016, and I weigh 186. That is 15 pounds in less than a month. I eat right. I also get the Lipo B12 shot every Monday, and I go to the gym Monday through Friday on my lunch break. I work out and jog every evening. It has different effects on most people because we are all different. I take half of a pill in the AM and the other half at noon to reduce the fast heartbeat. If you don't work out, you're not teaching your body discipline. The first three weeks are the hardest, but it is easy now. I highly recommend this pill to anyone wanting to lose weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "At a starting weight with a new doctor, 440 lbs. I tried Adipex. I only took it a week before I stopped due to headaches, heart racing just getting up to go to the bathroom. But with sheer willpower alone, in one year I lost 120 lbs. After losing an average of 10 lbs a month, my weight leveled out and I couldn't get but 5 lbs a month. So we decided to try Adipex again. I started on Aug 15 at 316, now, Sept. 13 - 295 lbs. This time, no side effects, I'm exercising more and feeling great. Hoping for the best."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Adipex on 11/8/2018. I am 5'5", I weighed in at 243 lb at the time. It is now my 5th day, and I have already lost 9 lbs. I am only taking half of the pill because the doctor thought I should gradually increase after seeing what side effects I would have. At this time, I have been following a 1200-calorie intake. Side effects have been dry mouth, blurry vision, and high heart rate, but it is tapering down now that my body is adjusting. I love the pill, but the only downside is the blurry vision. I will continue to take it to see if this stops, if not, I will just follow good eating habits and hit the gym."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Adipex 9/10/18. Female - 5’9, SW 202 lbs. I have always been thinner until steroids for arthritis over the years caused weight gain. Goal is 160 lbs. My monthly check-up at the doctor on 10/6 weighed in at 191 lbs. Today, 188 lbs. I know my diet is under what I should have, usually 700-900 calories a day, light exercise. More energetic. Curbed appetite. No eating after 5:30 supper, no sweets, chicken only for fast food (no fries). If I want a mid-day snack, it’s an apple with peanut butter. One cheat day, up to 1400 calories, water only. Have dry mouth and insomnia. Faster heartbeat when active. No rage feelings. Actually, great mood because of the energy and feeling proud of myself for losing. I will gain a little back as I will have to add more calories into my diet, but have the mindset to eat healthier, and hopefully losing the weight, I will be more energetic when off Adipex. Good luck to all."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started taking on 2/7/2016, as well as vitamin shots from a weight loss clinic and a 1200-calorie diet. Starting weight: 243 lbs. I am 5'5" and 30 yrs old. Since starting, I have experienced more energy, less hunger, and I have lost 6 lbs in 3 days. It is hard for me to get 1200 calories in. I do a meal replacement bar at breakfast with the medicine and a shake at lunch. Dinner is my only real meal. I have yet to find the time to get to the gym (I was going prior). I am extremely thirsty all day, my intake is in excess of 130 oz daily. Prior, I was at 60 oz. My heart rate has increased, but not to an alarming level. Will update after a full month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started phentermine on 5-26-2015. First day taking it, I got shaky, the chills, and my heart raced, but it will be 2 weeks tomorrow and those symptoms are no longer there. Unfortunately, I don't get much energy as others described, but my appetite has decreased a lot and I get fuller easily. I've lost 15 lbs so far, but I eat about 1300 to 1600 calories a day and walk every day."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started this medicine for weight loss. I have type 2 DM with PCOS. I started Adipex on 10/30/15. My weight was 260 lbs and I was very unhappy. My first week on this pill, I lost 10 lbs and the next week I weighed in at 245 lbs, 15 lbs in two weeks! It's amazing results. I had major side effects ranging from headaches, upset stomach, diarrhea, blankness, and heart racing. I stuck with it and the only thing I have a problem with is the diarrhea and upset stomach. I weigh myself tomorrow for the third week. The energy I have now is unbelievable. I'm really happy I chose this."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Today is 3 weeks on Adipex. Symptoms have pretty much subsided, but at first, I was having trouble sleeping. I had a little bit of increased heart rate and random numbness in my arms and hands. I also still feel cold a lot, but nothing unmanageable. My start weight was 182 lb, I'm down to 168 lb. Goal weight is 130 lb. I've cut my calorie intake way down: no breads or sugars, no pop. The medicine does give me a really bad dry mouth, which is good for me because I want nothing but water and lots of it! I do still feel hungry on Adipex, which is good, but it's cut my cravings and my appetite, so I eat small portions of good, healthy meals and healthy snacks in between! I'm excited to see where I am at 8 weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Adipex on 3/21/12. My starting weight was 271.5. Today is 4/25/12, and I weigh 258 lbs. I've lost a total of 13.5 lbs. I'm certain I could've lost WAY more. After over a month, I still have 1/2 a bottle left. The side effects of the pill (rapid heartbeat, dizziness from not eating, etc.) brought out my pre-existing anxiety issues. I stopped taking it for 2 weeks and got back to eating wrong, but I started again a little over a week ago, and I'm losing like CRAZY! I weigh every day, and the number keeps getting smaller (side effects are GONE). I sometimes skip a pill, but I still don't feel like I'm starving like I used to. I will continue to take it until I reach 145 lbs. I haven't exercised, but I did purchase the INSANITY workout and will start soon."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm 19, female, 240 pounds, and 5'8". I started taking Adipex yesterday (02/10/2017), and I had a boost of energy for about 5 hours, along with constantly sweating, dizziness, no appetite. I had to force myself to eat, and my heart racing and blurry vision here and there. I sure do hope to see results because these side effects are pretty terrible. Any recommendations? I'm drinking lots of water and eating with the pill."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I used Adipex for 3 months, lost 30 lbs the first 2 weeks. I had side effects of dizziness, sweating, insomnia, rapid heart rate, but I had a lot of energy, and the side effects only lasted 2 weeks. I cut back on going out to eat, and ate Lean Cuisine, drank only water or coffee with sweetener or unsweet tea. This pill is amazing, and I can't wait to go back on it again in 6 months! Cost was only $40.00."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took Adipex four years ago, and it was amazing. I lost 50 pounds and felt great! I started it back up this week because I got married and fell off the healthy food wagon. This time around, I've had headaches and a racing heart. I think I'm going to try taking my pill every other day and see if the side effects lighten up any."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m so envious of those of you that this worked on! I have completed 2 months of this pill daily, and nothing. I did get some side effects the first week (faster heart rate, jittery, dry mouth, muscle clenching) and felt I was eating less, but clearly not. I still feel just as hungry, and I’m on the 37.5 mg dose! My dr told me to take a pill and a half to see if that helps, and so far it has not. I am so depressed as my eating is out of control. I am literally always hungry, which is why I needed help with the pill in the first place. I just wish I’d had the luck you all have had."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Adipex for one week, to lose the last 30 lbs. (I have lost 80 on my own-but plateaued forever!). In the past week, I have lost 10 lbs. I am so excited to be closer to my goal. I never feel my heart racing or shaky, and I am one of the rare people that it helps relax. I have adult ADD. The first few days on the medicine, I took a nap-that never happens."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Adipex 37.5 on 3/8/18. So I've taken it for 3 days so far. Side effects so far are increased heart rate, this was a little scary to me at first, but apparently it's common. My resting heart rate went from 71 to 90. Also, increased urination when I haven't actually increased my water intake at all yet or when I hardly drink anything. I'm also a lot more emotional and cry easily, hopefully, this goes away soon. I have so much more energy, like I can't do things fast enough. I wasn't tired enough to fall asleep, but when I did fall asleep, it was easier to wake up after only 5 hours and make it through the next day with plenty of energy. I'll come back and update total weight loss at my 4-week check-in. Starting weight was 236, female, 5'3'', size 18 pants. Goal is 200, size 14 pants. I hold my weight well, and I'm pear shape, so I'm happy with my body at a size 14."

"This is the best diet medicine ever. I have been taking this pill for years. I generally take it two days on and one day off for efficacy, and it has worked. When I first started taking this medicine, I did not follow any type of eating plan and would stop and gain all my weight back. That made me realize I had to use an eating plan of my choice, like Weight Watchers. Low carb diet is my choice. This pill has taught me how to eat also. I ate sweets all the time before this pill and now eat a sweet only the day I do not take the pill. I recently went off Adipex in December because my doctor feels my heart rate was high (103, 115, etc.). I went back on them and monitor my heart rate because I gained 15 pounds. No other medicine out there like it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It does work. You have to work with Adipex though. You have to stay hydrated. You have to eat at least 1000 calories if not 1200 daily. You have to exercise a little. Even if it is just walking. You need to also take it very early and take it around the same time each day, like 6 am or 7 am. I would not go past 8 am if you are sensitive to medications. Otherwise, you will be up all night long, ready to run around. You also need to change the foods you eat. We are fat because of what we eat. This is not a magic pill that will melt your fat away. You need to correct yourself for it to really help you on your weight loss journey. This is all common sense. It raises your heart rate up (it's almost like speed). That is what gives you the energy that we are all lacking. For me, Adipex is a fantastic appetite suppressant. Good luck."
