"I've been on Oxtellar XR 1200 mg/day for several years and it completely controls my partial seizures. I have not noticed any ill side effects. I had been on Trileptal before, but it made me sleepy for a few hours after taking it, and Oxtellar XR does not tire me out. It is very expensive if you don't have a decent prescription plan. As far as I know, there is no generic equivalent available."

"I am now seizure-free! I used to have 3-4 a month."

"Was involved in a serious rollover accident a few years back and started having seizures the day after. Had scans done and my neurologist at the time prescribed me Oxtellar XR (oxcarbazepine) and I was 100% seizure-free. Incredible medicine. I had to discontinue use a while back because I couldn't afford it. To be specific, the price was $500.00 a month so I discontinued use and learned to manage my condition, but my seizures are becoming more frequent again. I am fully conscious during my episodes and it was quite painful. I am 29 and without any insurance and am reaching out for a little insight."
