Norethindrone for Birth Control "I never post here, but after the nightmare this BC put me through, I had to. Started Errin in 4/20, the doctor refused to give me any more combo pills due to high BP. I was put on Errin. 6/20 came around, I noticed my periods were lighter, but my cramps were crazy. I dealt with it and thought it was that one time. THE NEXT FEW MONTHS are a BLUR. I was out of it most of the time when my period came around. Pain in breasts, moody, 30 lb weight gain, bloat, nausea, dizziness, headaches, but THE PAIN in my ovaries back and uterus-out of control. I stayed on these for a year, until 4/21, I couldn't go to work because the pain went from happening during my period to EVERY DAY. I was miserable and felt majorly depressed. I was scared. When the doctor suggested I switch to Slynd after not finding anything wrong, I decided to give it a go, thinking Errin wasn't the problem. 3 months later, the pain is gone. I should have known. I went to the ER for this 5 times. I do NOT recommend. If in doubt and you feel off, check your BC."

Norethindrone for Endometriosis "I hate this pill! I took it for about 3 weeks. I know you are supposed to give it time, but honestly, I didn't think it was worth 'waiting it out' or giving it a chance, given that it made me feel like rubbish instantly. It made me feel like an apathetic zombie most of the time, and when I did have emotion, it was either pure rage or distraught. My libido completely disappeared along with my natural lubrication and sensations. Didn't help with endo pains at all. Turned my stomach into a bottomless pit about an hour after taking it - I ate EVERYTHING in sight. Gave me nagging headaches. The only thing positive I can say is that I'm not pregnant."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I've been in this 3 months now. Have gained 11 lbs!!! I exercise, eat right, and I look swollen. Have had 3 different spotting occasions that haven't lasted more than 3 days at a time. No cramps to really report, occasional night sweats, no headaches. Just really hating the weight gain!"

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Omg, where to begin. Doc had me switch from Yasmin (on for over 15 years) to Jolivette. I have been on it for 3 years (?). My symptoms have been: weight gain, inability to lose weight (very slow loss) despite 6-day workouts and calorie (low carb) control, hot flashes, night sweats, neck pain, headaches, low energy, terrible depression, insane hostile angry mood swings, and constant irritability. I went to the doctor as I thought I might be in early menopause. A battery of tests and blood work came up empty. She dismissed that Jolivette was the cause. Finally, I googled it and found countless forums of women in the same boat as me. It's been 3 weeks since I stopped the pill and most notably my moods have been so even, no irritability at all!"

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I've been on Lyza for a month. I've had one period since then, and although I didn't have horrifically heavy flow the first 2-3 days (part of the reason I wanted to be on birth control again), my period was a little longer. I have less appetite, which I guess is OK. I had less horribly painful cramps, it didn't wake me up in the middle of the night like it usually does. A little breast tenderness. I had really bad headaches for a long time, and this seems to have helped. I was prescribed this particular one because combined pills make me nauseous. Seems OK thus far."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have just started my third month on norethindrone. It's a treatment for abnormal bleeding. I used to have endometriosis problems some years ago. It has worked well in that my periods are much lighter and predictable. Before, I was doing about 2 weeks of bleeding and 1 week free, and back to 2 weeks of bleeding. Now, it's 4-5 days of light bleeding per month. I have noticed more headaches, though. Nothing I would trade for the effectiveness. I see my doctor next month. I believe the expectation was to have no periods, but this is 100% better than before."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I was put on Heather as a 42-year-old with pretty easy, light, regular periods. My boyfriend is not “fixed,” and we do not want more children. Now Heather. No periods? Sign me up! Well…my periods have been SO irregular. I never know when I might have one. My anxiety/depression has gotten so much worse to the point where I’ve felt like a lab rat trying all these meds to help my mood. Let’s not forget about the weight gain. I literally do not sit down. I’m on the move constantly, I don’t eat junk, and I drink my water. I have gained…are you ready? 45 POUNDS. 45 pounds?! Seriously. I am so upset. I can NOT get rid of the weight. I feel like a slob. I really don't like how I look. I was always tiny, but this stuff made me blow up like a blimp in less than a year’s time. My muscles in my legs ache constantly, and those headaches it was supposed to help? Yeah…no. It didn’t touch the headaches. This BC is a joke. Stay FAR away from it. I just stopped taking it. Fingers crossed."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am truly satisfied with this birth control. I am being treated for PCOS. I couldn’t tolerate any other birth controls due to very bad headaches and nausea/throwing up. Taking this so far has been great, it doesn’t interfere with my daily activities."

For Endometriosis "I have been on this medication for almost a month to alleviate my endometriosis. I have tried Lupron Depot, Orilissa, and had laparoscopies to try to help, but this medication has messed me up the worst out of any of the previous ones. Half of my body went numb and so did my hands one night, along with a headache-symptoms of a stroke. I have also had my period twice in a month with huge clots and have to change a nighttime pad every hour. Also, my cramps are worse, feels like I am miscarrying. Not to mention hair loss, depression, and aggressiveness."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "First time trying birth control and it was terrible! I stopped after two months because of terrible acne and weight gain. The first couple of weeks I had a few headaches and woke up nauseous, but it went away. The only upside was regulated periods."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I've been on birth control for 10 years and had to switch to a progestin version due to high blood pressure. I had no problems with my previous birth control, however, with Camila, I have not stopped spotting since I started it a month and a half ago. I've had headaches almost every day, and hormonal acne has increased (chin and forehead). Also, my hair has been falling out in clumps! I've never heard of this before, and I'm so frustrated. You have to take it at the same time every day too. I'm stopping it today."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I am exclusively breastfeeding and now 8 weeks postpartum, so I decided to try out the Heather birth control pills. The side effects were instant: severe headaches and cramping daily, drastic changes in mood, and a period that lasted almost a week. I've been on this pill for barely even 2 weeks, and although it takes roughly 3 months to adjust, it's not worth my mental or physical health."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "So I have been taking this for about 5 days now, and I felt compelled to write a review. I have taken tons of different birth control methods consisting of both hormones of estrogen and progestin. I am pleased to say that so far, this has been working well for me. I think it is worth a shot to try, but as you know, every woman is different. I am still thinking this is too good to be true, but it has been a blessing so far to not wake up dizzy, fatigued, with headaches, or nausea. The only things I have noticed so far are some bloating, light spotting, very little fatigue (nothing compared to other birth controls), and a slight stomach cramp before my alarm goes off to take the pill (perhaps when it's almost run out?). Worth a try."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I haven't been on this pill long, but so far I haven't gotten any migraines, which is the main reason I switched to Micronor. I was on Gildess (hate that pill) and had horrible headaches. I haven't gained weight, and haven't bled at all either. The only problem is that I've broken out on my chest, but that's a lot easier to deal with than headaches. Like this pill so far."

Norethindrone for Endometriosis "I’ve been taking Errin birth control pill for about a month now. Overall, it’s been really good! I haven’t had the spotting everyone complains about, and I have not had any cramping either. I normally have really terrible periods, so I’m hoping this birth control can either stop them completely or lessen the pain. The first week or two, it gave me really bad headaches (not migraines, just headaches), but those went away after about week two. I haven’t noticed any weight gain either. I feel like the medicine maybe gives me slight mood swings, but I can recognize them pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I’m not seeing any improvement in my skin."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have struggled with abnormal uterine bleeding for quite some time. Along with that came terrible mood swings that became debilitating. I tried several different combo pills, but it was too much for me; I felt too many negative side effects from it. So I wanted to try the “progesterone only” pill, and I am so glad I did. It took about until the 3rd week for the bleeding to completely stop, but I’m glad I stuck patient with it! The only side effects I get from it are mild stomach upset/nausea or a slight headache after taking it, which subsides quickly. I feel so much better! My moods have leveled out, my senses and drive are stronger. It’s been a great game changer for me! :)"

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I began taking Errin for a month, and I've had the worst experience ever with this birth control method. I have gained 20 pounds since taking it. There was spotting between my periods. I had extreme mood swings that were crazy ups and downs. I experienced headache, anxiety, and increased blood pressure. I don't recommend this b.c. to any woman who is thinking of trying the progestin-only pill. Yes, it is the mini pill, but I had a horrible experience. I will just deal with my adenomyosis and heavy periods w/o birth control. Never again!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 6 months and love it! For the first week, I had headaches for about 30 minutes and very minor nausea for only 3 days that went away with some Dramamine or a Tums. During the first month, I had some mood swings, but that's pretty normal. I only had spotting for two days, and it wasn't bad, there were only pink spots when I wiped. The only downside was that after 3 months, I had gained 15 pounds, which may seem alarming, but it was due to the bad cravings and because of my bad anxiety that made me lose my appetite before the pill. So after starting, it brought my appetite back, and I think it helped with my anxiety! My boobs and hips got bigger, which was nice! After talking to my gyno about my weight, I ate better food and worked out, and the weight fell off in 2 months! I seriously love this pill and have not experienced any negative side effects directly caused by it. If you're looking for a pill that doesn't give you a lot of bad side effects, I definitely recommend this one!"

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I like this 'mini pill' way better than the combo pills. A week after switching, I had a long period that lasted for about 12 days. However, after that, I didn't have a period again for about 5 months! When college finals stress came around, I got my period again twice, six weeks apart. Since then, things have calmed down and I don't have a period again. As far as other side effects go, when I first switched to this pill, I had some headaches and cramping for the first month, but those went away as my body adjusted. The only lasting side effect is that my breasts are swollen and tender a lot more, but it's not too bad. Plus, they look more full, which is not a complaint. I don't think this pill is helping my skin like the combo pills with estrogen, but it certainly isn't hurting it either. I do use condoms with this pill to prevent pregnancy, as it's not as effective as the combo pill."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I've been using Errin for 1 month. I got used to taking it routinely without getting scared that I would forget by simply putting an alarm on my phone and stashing my pill card in my wallet. So far, only symptoms are major pimples all over my face, bad headaches that would last intermittently for 2 days, and tender breasts from time to time. My attitude is the same, and my husband and I are making love a lot more, and it's better than usual. I hate the pimples only because these pimples are not easy to go away. They feel more like baby boils, and I never usually have pimples... I always have clear, nice skin."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I am 29 years old, and Errin gets an absolute no from me! After one week, I have had severe cramping for days without bleeding. Bloating so tight I can't move and very hard to get rid of. Headaches and hot flashes. Nausea spells throughout the day. The doctor recently told me I wasn’t a candidate for an estrogen pill and prescribed me this. However, I have never experienced any side effect worse than this pill: stay away!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about five months now, and it has been a nightmare. I constantly have headaches now. I can’t remember what it felt like not to have a headache. It had messed me up mentally and physically. I have gained 30 pounds in five months. That’s insane. I always stayed around 115 in weight, but not anymore. My sex drive is gone. I don’t even like to hug people now because physical touch makes me want to get sick. I was told this was a better birth control than the last one I was taking, but it turns out they are both rubbish. I really hope someone will read this so they don’t have to go through what a lot of other women and I went through. I don’t feel like myself. I look in the mirror and don’t even recognize myself now. If you have even had that feeling, you know that it sucks. I am so moody, and I can’t even help it now. I don’t want to be, I just feel like it has completely changed my life for the worse. Do not take this medicine."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I had just about given up on ever thinking I could be on a hormonal form of contraception. I had tried two other forms of birth control in the past, the first being Yaz, which was the WORST thing ever. I swore off birth control for years, thinking my body just couldn't handle it. I recently went back to my OBGYN just to see if there were ANY other last resort options for pills. She recommended Lyza because it's low hormones, and I was hesitant at first but gave it a go. I have been on Lyza for almost a month now. I have had almost no spotting, no mood swings, no headaches, no troubles with blood clots/wheezing, nothing like my other experiences! Thank you, Lyza! You literally saved the day, and hopefully everything continues to be awesome!"

For Birth Control "I hate this pill. It's made me moody, I've gained 20 pounds, I constantly feel like I'm furious with everyone, it's given me consistent headaches, and my doctor told me to at least give it a try for 3 months. It's been 4 months, and I have found nothing but problems with this pill. I feel like one minute I'm horribly depressed, and the next I want to choke someone. I won't be going back to that doctor. At this point, I wish they'd just rip out my ovaries before I do it myself because this birth control is the absolute worst I've ever been on in the last ten years."

Norethindrone for Endometriosis "I just started taking this pill for heavy, very crampy monthly periods. I am on my second pack, and I've had my period for 12 days, but no cramping, which is great. It has made the bleeding a lot less but longer. Some days all I need is a panty liner, which I could never do before this pill. Other than that, I have had no headache, acne, or weight gain."
