For High Blood Pressure "I was on metoprolol 100 for about 1 year. It caused anxiety, heart palpitations, dizziness, tiredness, and a general ill/bad feeling. My doctor finally offered new medicines, and the Bystolic 10mg is the best thing that could have happened for me. I was nervous at first because of my experience with other beta blockers, but honestly, apart from taking it every morning, I forget I have a condition. No side effects! When I was researching Bystolic, I found bad reviews, but after using it for 3 months now, I had to leave positive remarks. What a great medicine."

For Mitral Valve Prolapse "I have mitral valve prolapse, female, 42. I started Bystolic, 5 mg, a couple of weeks ago, no palpitations, no dizziness, no headaches, no fatigue. My sleep is off a bit, but other than that, I feel great."

For High Blood Pressure "I have had high blood pressure for 13 years now. I am a 45-year-old African American female. I have been on every combination I can think of. About 60 days ago, I was taken off of 100 mg of atenolol and put on Bystolic 10 mg. I feel much better. I have energy, my heart does not palpitate like it used to, and my blood pressure went from 149-140 S / 90-88 D to 117/124 - 75/80. I'm very happy. It's much more expensive than my other medicines, but I'm willing to pay the price to spend more time with my family and friends."

For High Blood Pressure "Put on Bystolic for HBP. Did not help at all. Nauseated, dizzy, pressure in neck and head, upset stomach, heart flutters. Had to stay in bed for 3 days. Thought I was going to have a heart attack or stroke. Still trying to get it out of my system after 4 days. Slightly better but still nauseated and heart still flutters."

For High Blood Pressure "25 years old, sensitive to most medicines, and this was another one on the blacklist. Headaches occasionally, insomnia, loss of sexual desire, heart palpitations, depression, dizzy when standing up or squatting down, tired when sitting down, and short-term memory was terrible."

For High Blood Pressure "Was on Inderal for some 25 years, then switched (because of insurance reasons) to different (cheaper) high blood pressure medicines. After several attempts at these newer medicines, had to return to Inderal. For some reason, Inderal stopped working for me. Doctor switched me to Bystolic. WONDER DRUG! I no longer have palpitations, blood pressure is 120/70, no more nausea, no more dizziness, no more fatigue. Truly a wonder drug, at least for me. ONLY drawback, it's expensive. But what price for feeling good and healthy again."

For High Blood Pressure "I recently switched physicians and was placed on Bystolic after being on Benicar for over a year. Benicar did not control my blood pressure, but since being placed on Bystolic, I felt the difference immediately. I had problems with palpitations, uncontrolled blood pressure, sweating, hot flashes, and racing heart. I am now much calmer and my blood pressure is under control. The only side effect I am having (after being on this prescription for a week) is tiredness and a loss of appetite. I do get a little dizzy about an hour after taking the medication, but Benicar did the same."

For High Blood Pressure "I've been on Norvasc for about 15 years after being tried on almost every blood pressure medication. It has been the only medication successful at keeping my blood pressure in the normal range. In January of 2009, I was hospitalized in a thyroid storm. A thyroid storm affects every system in your body, and you feel like you are near death. I was placed on Bystolic to control my heart rate, 120-200 bpm, palpitations, and shortness of breath. I could only tolerate 5 mg due to severe drops in my pulse rate, 40-42 bpm. I stayed on Bystolic and Norvasc until February of 2010. I was then instructed to slowly taper off the Bystolic since the thyroid condition was resolved. I was unsuccessful in tapering off Bystolic without arrhythmias."

For High Blood Pressure "Taken Bystolic 2.5 for a week so far. Cardiologist recommended due to “minimal side effects.” Will not be taking again. Was previously using Carvedilol 6.2, weaned off, but once off, BP went up and experienced palpitations. Bystolic has been giving heart flutters and palpitations and is very uncomfortable. Will not be using anymore going forward. Have been unable to get much sleep since using this."

For High Blood Pressure "I have been taking Bystolic 10 mg (now Nebivolol) for more than 5 years in substitution for Metoprolol because this one was causing me some arrhythmia, and it is working fine for me. My doctor periodically monitors my liver and kidney functions, and up to now, they are fine."
