For Asthma "My little son took that poison for less than 2 weeks two years ago. He is still suffering with bad side effects like tics, anxiety, anger, sensitivity to light, symptoms of autism sometimes, feeling tired, changes of mood, and behavior problems. :( It is devastating. I am sorry for all the kids who took it or are taking that drug, and I am also sorry for their families."

For Asthma "I began taking Montelukast in October 2017, took a nighttime dose each day for two weeks. After three days with the drug, tiredness and weakness set in. By mid-afternoon, I was ready to sleep. Returning from my medical appointment last week, it was very difficult to stay awake and drive home. Note, I take Ritalin daily and still felt this severe tiredness."

For Asthma "I was prescribed Montelukast a month ago for my nasal congestion (on top of extra strength Reaction) and asthma. Honestly, this medication helps magically with my nasal congestion. But my weight gain has become out of control. Feeling very tired all the time. I do not have any depression problems like the others mentioned in this blog, but I do have a history of depression with suicidal attempts while I was taking prednisone for asthma control. I am wondering if I should stop taking Montelukast to avoid the comeback of my great depression. I am taking 10 mg/day."

For Asthma "When I took this medication, I took it in the afternoon instead of the evening by mistake, and 2 hours later I was so tired I veered off the road while I was driving. When I got home, I was face-first in the couch, and that's where I stayed for 24 hours! I have never been that tired in my life. I've got 2 small kids, so sleeping for 24 hours isn't an option all the time, but it made my breathing so much better. That one tab helped my breathing for 3 days! I decided to try a half a tablet, and again I was so tired, but this time not so bad I couldn't do anything (pretty close though). I've taken it a few more times, after a while, I forget how horrible the fatigue is and can't handle the breathing problem anymore, and every time it's lasted for days and made me extremely sleepy for 24 hours. My doctor prescribed me a child's dose that I'm going to cut in half, but if I still get sleepy after that, I'm stopping it completely."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Only day 2 of taking this drug and thankful that I remembered that taking a new med could be the culprit when having symptoms. This site validated my concerns. I woke up and was very tired in such a way that I didn't connect it to a medication. I began getting very anxious and with some slight undercurrent of something negative. My always stuffy nose became worse, and I felt flushed. I am unable to sleep. I was going to try to make it until day 3, but after seeing these experiences, I don't see anything positive in my taking this med. I cannot wait to get it out of my system."
