For Migraine "Went to the ER for high blood pressure and was having a bad headache as well. Was given Reglan cocktail and afterwards I have had the worst anxiety ever. I wanted to rip the IV out of my arm and run out of there. I will never let them give me those meds again."

For Migraine "I went to the E.D. 2 nights ago for a massive headache, the worst headache I have ever had in my life, and I was miserable and dry heaving. When I finally got pulled back, they gave me the 'headache cocktail' with Reglan, Benadryl, and Toradol. The nurse started taking the blood pressure in the same arm as my IV. While it was squeezing my arm, it was shooting pain in my arm. The fluids were painful in my arm, and I kept begging for them to take them out. I had a massive panic attack and couldn't keep my legs still. I started feeling like I needed to get out of my own skin, and my clothes were strangling me. I started begging for them to let me leave because I HAD TO go. It took about 30-45 min for me to actually calm down. My headache went away, but I freaked out both my mom and my boyfriend. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. While I was leaving, the doctor was like, 'Oh, yeah, one of the medicines can wind you up and give you anxiety like that.' Thanks, glad you tell me this now."

For Gastroparesis "This medicine is a nightmare! Took the pills today to get rid of yucky burps and nausea. Started feeling even more queasy, then my chest felt like it was going to explode. Got sleepy and jittery at the same time and had anxiety through the roof. Hours later, still feeling mildly crazy, and all it took was 10 mg. It fixed the symptoms but wasn't worth the side effects. Don't do this to yourself. Stay away!"

For Migraine "OMG, worst medicine mixture ever!!! I’ve had this terrible stuff 2 times. The first time, I went to the ER for an awful migraine, and they gave me Compazine, Reglan, and Benadryl, and immediately I started feeling very tired but restless and anxious at the same time. I wanted to sleep, but I couldn’t because I felt like I just wanted to run out of there and just go home! It’s the worst anxious feeling I’ve ever experienced. So, the next time I had a migraine, they wanted to give me that, and I thought, well, maybe it was just a bad reaction last time or something, but NOPE! I had the same feeling, and they wanted to do an MRI on me because of other neurological symptoms I came in with, but since I was feeling so awful, I just told them, nope, I want to be discharged. I’m definitely going to tell them next time those medications I cannot tolerate, and I refuse them."

For Nausea/Vomiting "My experience was a nightmare. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. It gave me severe anxiety and a sense of dread. The nurses and hospital staff couldn't get ahold of a physician to give me something to counteract it, and they were out of Benadryl. Yes, the hospital was out of Benadryl. I couldn't take the anxiety, and I ripped out all my IVs and ran out to my car and left. That's how bad the panic was."

For Migraine "Visited the ER due to an intense migraine lasting 7 days with 4 impacted wisdom teeth coming in. Face swollen, migraine, and intense anxiety went to a different hospital and was hoping for something that worked, but got the Reglan/Benedryl cocktail which made me freak out like an idiot, and I cried for anxiety meds when a new doctor came in and denied me anything else and called me a pill popper, although the only meds I'm taking are for my teeth pain (antibiotic and a steroid) and also continued to be rude while still having an outrageous migraine. Home now... hours later... with a migraine still......"

For Migraine "Reglan caused me to experience major anxiety and panic attacks within minutes of receiving it via IV. Made me feel like I was dying. The anxiety attacks took a few months to subside. Horrible drug, wouldn't recommend to anyone."

For Nausea/Vomiting "Was given Reglan at ER for severe vomiting. My heart began to race, and I felt extremely jittery and anxious. As sick as I was, I couldn't even lie down anymore, I was so 'hyped up.' They had to give me Ativan to reverse the effects of the Reglan. Never again."

For Lactation Augmentation "Was prescribed this for increasing my very low milk supply (I'm breastfeeding). I was excited because I feel horrible not being able to breastfeed my newborn. Took literally 2 or 3 pills over a couple of days and suddenly had severe chest pain, chest tightness/pressure, couldn’t breathe well, and had an anxiety/panic attack during the middle of the night. I’m 3 weeks postpartum and have struggled some with anxiety and heart palpitations (due to PVCs I’ve had forever just getting more elevated), so I assumed it was just postpartum related. But it got so bad I freaked and thought I had a pulmonary embolism or something since those can happen after birth. Went to the ER, had blood work done and a CT scan to rule out anything life-threatening. Got home just stumped... until I realized the only thing I’d done differently was take Reglan. Looked up these reviews and knew that’s exactly what caused it! Will NOT be finishing these."

For Migraine "6/10/19 I received the migraine cocktail for the first time. The doctor was very careful to push the Reglan slowly into the IV. At first, I felt fine, but once she left the room, I got hot, sweaty, and anxious. I had full-body tremors, sweat through my clothes, and felt like I needed to rip the IV out and run. My severe migraine is gone, but I would recommend not trying this medication if you already have anxiety or if you’re sensitive to medications."

For Migraine "I went to the ER with a migraine I had had for about 4 days. I was given this medication. I was in so much pain. I was so anxious. I told them I was still in pain. My blood pressure was going up and down. I will never let them give this to me again. I was there 6 hours and left with no relief. I felt like I was tortured. Reglan and Benadryl."

For Migraine "Went into the ER for a migraine that was bothering me and had me leave school early. They didn’t explain much about the drug, but they gave it to me anyway with a combination of Benadryl. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. I was feeling anxious a few minutes after taking it, but I wasn’t expecting it to become the most horrifying and insufferable experience in my life. I felt like I was coming out of my skin and wanted to rip the IV out and the skin off my body. I had a panic attack that lasted a long time and couldn’t stop freaking out. I remember looking at the nurse and asking her, “What did you do to me?” as extreme paranoia and panic flooded through my mind. A doctor came by and offered Ativan to help. I couldn’t trust them and declined a few times, even though I am really into pharmacology and knew it would help, but my paranoia made me feel like they would give me something else and kill me. I ended up taking it, and it helped."

For Migraine "Went to the hospital last night for flu-like symptoms. While I was there, I experienced a sudden migraine. When I told the Dr., he decided to treat me with a cocktail outside of my usual. He gave me Reglan, Toradol, and Benadryl. As soon as the nurse began to push the meds in my IV, I felt the worst burning sensation ever! After all 3 meds were in, I began to feel closed in, constricted, and overall worse. The nurse ran and got the Dr., and this is when he decided to reveal that the Reglan can make you feel very anxious. He said it should go away in 10 mins or so, and it did, but I will never allow them to give me this medication again. I literally tried to rip the IV out of my arm because of it."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I was in the hospital for severe nausea/vomiting and was given Reglan through IV to help. I have a fear of needles, so I had my anti-anxiety medication with me. Within a few minutes of the administration, I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin or die. I nearly ripped my IV out of my arm, and I had to have my fiancée go get a nurse to rush through the discharge. It did help the nausea, and I took an anti-anxiety pill, which kicked in enough after about 45 minutes for me to be coherent again. The panic on the ride home as a passenger was so bad, it gave me a lasting discomfort of being in cars. I will do everything in my power to never take this medication again. I'd rather puke my guts out."

For Nausea/Vomiting "PLEASE do not take this medication!! If you go into the ER for nausea and vomiting and they tell you they're going to administer this medication into your IV, tell them absolutely not! I suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum for the first 3 months of my pregnancy that landed me in the ER five times, and I had to be put on IV fluids. The first couple of times they gave me Zofran, which worked the first and second time, and then it just started making my nausea and vomiting worse. The next couple of times I came into the ER and I told them the Zofran was making me feel worse, they decided to give me Reglan, and oh my god, I had never felt this way from a medication before. After ten minutes of them giving it to me, I started shaking and feeling the worst anxiety I've ever felt, and I have an anxiety disorder. I wanted to rip my IV out of my arm and run out of the hospital. I remember I started looking at my IV and trying to figure out a way I could remove it myself without injuring myself."

For Migraine "Doctor prescribed this for migraines. Immediately after taking the first pill within an hour, I jumped out of bed and was restless, shakes, had severe anxiety, trembles, and felt like I was going to die. This lasted days - I told my next doctor this, and she then told me that some people do have this reaction. I will NEVER take this again and do not recommend it."

For Migraine "Well, went to the ER for a massive migraine and vertigo. At first, they gave 1 mg of Ativan, 1,000 mg of acetaminophen, and 600 mg of ibuprofen. Even though it made me feel slightly better, the tightness around my head was still there and the room was still spinning, just not as bad. So they decided to give me 'the cocktail,' which included Compazine, Reglan, and Imitrex. After about 15 minutes, I felt so restless, like I needed to keep moving my body. I thought it was the combination of all the damn meds, but then I stumbled onto this website. Now I know it was the Reglan. Anyway, I was sent home with a prescription for Reglan and was told to take it with Tylenol and Advil for migraines. Well, the first night I took it, I was up all night fighting against the worst anxiety attack I've ever had. It lasted all night long. Never again will I take this medicine."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I was in the hospital for 'Hyperemesis Gravidarum,' severe morning sickness and was given Reglan through IV, and right away I was telling my sister I have to get out of here. I couldn't sit in the bed, I was forcing my eyes shut to escape the rush of anxiety rushing through me. The whole ride home, I was telling her I wanted to jump out of the car. Listen to reviews!!! Take care."

For Nausea/Vomiting "Just to make others aware, I also had very negative reactions to this medicine. I was given it before a lower back surgical procedure to prevent nausea. Within probably less than 2 minutes after having Reglan injected into an IV, I went from totally normal to hyperventilating and having extreme paranoia almost to the point of hallucinations. I became angry, threatening, and confrontational with everyone around me, including strangers, ripped out my IV tubing, and ran out of the hospital. It wore off about 30 minutes later, and I returned to the hospital and apologized profusely and continued with pre-surgery items. Nurses told me they see similar side effects of anxiety and people 'wanting to leave urgently,' but never as extreme as it was for me. I now list it as an allergy and would warn anyone to stay away from it."

For Migraine "Horrible, it’s been over 2 years, and I swear I have PTSD from it. I had it twice. The second time the nurse told me it was probably injected in the IV too quickly, that’s why it caused panic. She did it slowly, and within seconds the same thing happened: panic, anxiety, like my body was going to go nuts, but my head hurt so bad, and I felt sleepy, so it was this crazy internal battle. I’m afraid to take any medication now or go to the hospital with severe migraines, so I just suffer. How can these even be allowed to be administered to people? Worst experiences of my life."

For Migraine "I'm not kidding when I tell you this medication made me feel a way I never want to feel again. I have since listed this medication as an allergy because I refuse to go through what this medication put me through. I was losing it inside the ER after being given this. Could not sit still and wanted to rip my IV out. I would have rather felt a migraine/nausea than be given this. Would not wish this medication on my worst enemy. Very jittery and uneasy throughout your body. Please be advised."
