For ADHD "I used to be on SR, then was switched to immediate release, which made such a difference. Now I'm stuck back on SR, they aren't effective at all. It bothers my stomach, and now I feel depressed and wonder how I'm going to get through work."

For ADHD "Updated since my last report. I tried 1-20 mg & 1-10 mg; 4 hours later 1-20 mg; 4 hours later 1-10 mg. Been trying this for a couple weeks & so far, it is working fine, from the time I wake up till the time I hit the hay."

For ADHD "I have tried dexedrine spansules and the IR tablets. They worked well, maybe too well, and although it gave me almost no side effects, the thought of long-term amphetamine usage made me seek an alternative. I tried most methylphenidate products available and found IME Concerta and Biphentin (once a day) were too long-lasting and took 2 hours to work. The crash was also terrible, so I was tried on Ritalin SR with a 10 mg IR booster at night. I have tried Ritalin IR (which was the most effective), but it wears off (for me) in 2.5 hours, so even with three doses a day, I'd only get 6-8 hours of relief. I tried Strattera and found it to be good for atypical depression, and it mildly helped my ADHD but with more side effects than the stimulants. Lastly comes bupropion, and I was tried on it for a few months, and it did not help my ADHD but made me more anxious and my mind was not focused. Didn't try Adderall, nor do I want to as I find Ritalin SR to work for me."

For Narcolepsy "I didn't give this a 10 simply because I don't feel it lasts as long as it should. However, during the time I do take it, it's great. Wide awake without being jittery. Good stuff."

For Narcolepsy "I used to fall asleep at school (for 2-10 min at a time) and be awake all night for up to 4 nights straight. Treated it amazingly. Once after breakfast and once after lunch."

For ADHD "Our son is 11 years old. He has ADHD/non-specific mood disorder. He has been on numerous medications. For the last 2 years, we have had him on only Abilify and Tenex. We decided at the end of the school year that we would remove all medicines and start fresh because we felt that the medicines were NOT working any longer and puberty was showing its ugly face. We started Ritalin SR 3 weeks after he stopped getting other medicines. Within 24 hours, he had a facial tic, 36 hours later, he could not sit for long periods of time. After 48 hours, we knew he needed to be removed. We could barely understand him talking, he made us crazy because he could NOT stop moving. He did not feel it, he does not understand that the things he was doing were not 'normal' for him."
