For ADHD "My son has ADD without the H. He started on 18 mg in September. His teachers noticed the difference from the year before. He did lose his appetite, but due to a growth spurt and my making him eat, he gained a pound. He loved the medicine and actually wanted to take it. He got the flu in early November and stopped the pills because they seemed to make it worse. When we started again, they still made him sick, so we just took a break, thinking to get the idea out of his head. Then I got his report card. He started the pills again 4 days ago and no sickness, as long as he eats 1/2 hour before. Teachers have already commented on the change."

For ADHD "I'm quite depressed and bad at schoolwork. When I take Concerta, especially high doses, I do much better at school, and my depression goes away. It feels like I'm completely stoned, and I have no emotions. I also lost 10 pounds in a month, going from 105 to 95. It's kinda cool being this skinny, my friends think I'm anorexic, but I'm just not hungry."

For ADHD "I am a 38-year-old male with ADHD and GAD/Panic Disorder, taking 36 mg methylphenidate ER once daily. This has been and continues to be the best stimulant for my ADHD. The Adderall derivatives do not help me focus and dramatically worsen my anxiety, whereas methylphenidate enhances my focus and productivity at work, and the impact on my anxiety is far lower. It isn't a miracle drug, I still can have a bad/unproductive day despite it, and my appetite is suppressed while the dose is active, but the improvement in my quality of life is tangible. I do not perceive any additional difficulty in sleeping."

For ADHD "I have been taking Concerta 54 and 36 (legally) for many years now. The only main side effects are that it causes you to lose your appetite and twitch a bit. I don't think it's for everyone."
