For Muscle Pain "I was having some muscle pain in my legs, and so my husband put some of the rub on my leg, and as soon as he started rubbing it in, I reeked of pain, and it felt like someone had a torch to me! Now I look like I have had one leg in the sun for hours with an oil on it. I cannot put pants on it or anything over it because it is a bad burn."

Methyl salicylate topical for Muscle Pain "Be careful overusing. It will feel like you are burning. It does very little if you are feeling muscle that is actually caused by a pinched nerve. If you have nerve pain and not inflammation... you need an opioid. All OTC meds treat inflammation and not nerve pain."

Methyl salicylate topical for Muscle Pain "Have used for four or five years with no side effects... muscle strain four days ago after Pilates in left side neck, upper cervical, scapula. Applied four patches across back of neck; woke up three hours later, different tingling burning pain. Attributed to continued muscle strain; removed patches five hours later, showered. Several hours later noted more strained discomfort, burning; felt bumps in my scalp close to posterior neck. Slept restlessly and with continued burning sensation. Husband noted red bumps and marks over left side of neck. Called your customer care line; closed. Called Costco where purchased Lot SAO8U Exp 09/2019."

Methyl salicylate topical "Worthless for sciatica pain. Burns terribly when applied, stinks, and no pain relief. Threw in the trash!"

Methyl salicylate topical for Muscle Pain "Thanksgiving morning, I tripped going into a house and bruised my back. A day later, I went to the hospital, and they recommended Salonpas patches. Bought them and put them on my back. Within a 1/2 hour, I started feeling nauseous, and my back started burning. My lips started swelling up, and I checked my heart rate on my watch, and it was 105 at resting. My tongue started to feel funny, and I had a bad taste in my mouth. I yelled for my husband to rip them off right away and took liquid Benadryl right away. EpiPen was on stand-by. The only anaphylactic shock reaction I have is to iodine, and none of the ingredients in this say anything about iodide. Not sure what caused the reaction. I’m just glad somebody was home with me."
