Methamphetamine for ADHD "After being prescribed nearly every type of stimulant/ADD medication available, I finally found a doctor who was open-minded enough to prescribe Desoxyn for both ADD and treatment-resistant depression. The problem with Ritalin, Adderall, Dexedrine is that for a necessary therapeutic dose to be reached, the Peripheral Nervous System is triggered, bringing about all those pesky side effects like nervousness/jitteriness, racing heart, anxiety/panic attacks were a huge problem for me, insomnia, and loss of appetite. However, a low dose of Desoxyn (10mg) gives me 100% of the positive effects from, say, 60mg Adderall, with maybe 10% of the undesired side effects. It simply is a much more comfortable experience than any other ADD med I’ve ever taken. Hands down."

Methamphetamine for ADHD "The smoothest by far, powerful but mild at the same time, if that makes any sense. Why is it so looked down on, overpriced and usually not covered by insurance? It is not fair to the patient. All that aside, it simply works the best for me, smooth yet brings focus and quality of life. It's got a bad reputation because of the generic name. But it simply works the best for me with little to no side effects. 5 mg is not enough though, I take 30 mg twice a day, that's 6 tablets per dose. After a while, I can reduce that dose to 5 tablets twice daily off and on. Now I take a combination of 10 mg of quality Adderall twice a day with 20 mg of Desoxyn twice a day. In time, I've adjusted to the reduced appetite and also any insomnia it can cause. I even rest in the afternoon for an hour or so, along with high protein and beet juice, which is very helpful and keeps you healthy. I would have never accomplished the success in life without this therapy!"

For ADHD "Similar to others, I have gone through a long list of treatments prior to trying Desoxyn. Adderall, Ritalin, Zenzedi, Vyvanse, etc. All of the above either had issues with lack of efficacy or intolerable side effects ranging from insomnia, elevated heart rate, blood sugar issues, and very uncomfortable comedowns. I asked my psychiatrist about Desoxyn, which he was unfamiliar with, and was initially reluctant the first 1-2 times I brought it up. We decided to try a low dose of 5 mg to start. The first time I tried it, I didn't 'feel' it kick in, but I had great concentration, focus, and was able to get work done. The best part-no comedown feelings whatsoever. Ironically, the smoothest medication from onset to the 5 hours it lasted initially. I was able to have it ordered at my regular pharmacy and filled without issue, although I was hesitant at the reaction from presenting a script for meth. Taking 3-4 a day, and I am very thankful for this medication. Pricey without insurance."
