"So I was recommended Provera for my abnormal period. I haven't seen my period in a year and 6 months, and my doctor prescribed me this to take for 5 days a week. A couple days later, I had some cramps, and then my period came. I'm going to be trying the fertility drug after my period so I can conceive."

"Absolutely rubbish. Did not work at all. I had a full period along with every symptom and side effect you could possibly imagine. I took these due to going on holiday, however, as they did not work, I have been sick and bed-bound, wasting my holiday time and money! I am so disappointed and recommend nobody take these."

"I was on this for 5 years until my doctor made me get off since this causes low bone density. I regret being on it so long but was scared to try anything else and get pregnant. Pros: no periods/cramps and no pregnancy. Cons: weight gain. I was a soccer player my entire high school career and walked everywhere. I gained 40 pounds in a 5-year period. 20 pounds the first year. It didn't stop. I went from 150 lbs to 206. At this point, I wanted to get off, and I reached the 5-year limit. I highly do not recommend."

"My obstetrician prescribed this medication to me because I had missed my period for three months. She gave me a 10-day course of 10 mg, and after the 10 days, I got my period five days later. It was extremely painful, which she had warned me about due to the long gap in my menstrual cycle. She prescribed a second round the following month, but I haven't gotten my period yet, even though it's been two weeks since I finished the 10-day course. I am trying to conceive, so this is disappointing. I have contacted my obstetrician and am waiting for the next step."

"I took Depo in June and a week later I started bleeding heavily. So I was told to get another shot early, so I would stop bleeding. It didn't work, I'm still bleeding and it's October. So I went to the doctor. He gave me Provera and it's day 2 of the pills. The bleeding is lighter. Let's hope everything will go back to normal."

"My last normal cycle was the 23rd of March 2017. On the 10th of April, I started spotting, on the 11th, it stopped. Then I started spotting on the 14th, then it stopped on the 15th, then started bleeding on the 18th of April until the month ending, very heavy and lots of clots. I went to the clinic and then they sent me for an ultrasound and blood test. I didn't have the money to do these, so the following week I checked myself into the emergency room at the hospital. They gave me Provera to stop the bleeding, which stopped in 5 days of taking 2 pills 3 times a day. The scans came back negative for any growths. I started bleeding again on the 24th, now taking Provera prescribed at 2 pills 2 times a day. It's day 5, still bleeding from the 24th. I'm so tired..."

"Love it! It eliminated my periods for 3 months, and I clocked in regularly every 3 months, something that never happened in my life. I would have stayed on it if it wasn't that I needed a pill with estrogens. I had no side effects at all."
